I'm thinking about buying the Nokia E7. Im just worried how smart is it because of the fact that there are a lot of Android phones with better features then Nokia E7. For 100 euros, for example, I can buy Motolux Motorola, Sony Experia U, ZTE Blade III, etc ... Also I'm interested why it is so high price of this mobile device, Nokia E7?

Hello everyone, I'm going to upgrade from my Galaxy 5 to some other Android device, and I have 1.000 R$ ( 570 US dollars ) to spend on a new smartphone. Here on Brazil with that money you can buy a Nexus S, a Xperia Arc or a Motorola Atrix. So I don't know which one to choose. The Xperia Arc is gorgeous, thin, has a great camera and a bigger display, the Nexus S will be receiving most of the updates right after their release, has a front facing camera and a Super Amoled screen, while the Atrix is.. well.. meh. So, which of those do you recommend for me to choose as my smartphone for the next 2 years? Also, I watch A LOT of TV shows on my smartphone, i'm a pretty hardcore gamer and I listen to music constantly on my Galaxy 5, so the phone must have nice media capabilities.
Thanks!
man , you are asking in Nexus S section, so , sure , your answer would be Nexus S,
if you ask in their section , sure you have answer of their section.
personal idea , i suggest wait for another moth or so , wait for Galaxy Nexus , and then you can sell you Galaxy 5 to get some money , plus your 570 USD , almost there ...
yes sure nexus s is the best try it, sory for my bad eng
If you go for the design, get a Xperia Arc
If you go for a lot more performance, definitely get a Nexus S.
Or just wait and spare some money for the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime.
the Galaxy S2 will share a lot of similarities to the galaxy nexus, and their price has already dropped a lot since launch... perhaps that is one option to consider as well?
My friend has the ark and I have a nexus s, my nexus outperforms the Ark in everything except for the camera, he is a bit annoyed at how slow it is.
Hi,
I am in big dilemma whether to buy WP7 or not.
Huge fan of Nokia and Microsoft.
My last mobile N8 is dead month back (motherboard ditched me)
I have enough money to pick any mobile.
1. Nokia lumia 800 - 29K INR - which i believe is priced too heavy in India where i can get Galaxy S2 for just 27K
2. Samusng Omnia W - 20K INR - with the same specifications of 800 but with 5MP cam and 8Gb space
3. Nexus Prime - though android phone, based on ICS reviews, making me to get it. might cost - 32-35K and release date Jan end
4. Nokia lumia 710 - 20K INR - same as omnia W
5. HTC Radar - 22K INR
At the same time, there are rumors that Apollo is coming with dual core processor support and lot more features in Mid of 2012
by that time these wp phones will be too older to support apollo?
Which one should i go for?
Remember I mainly use my mobile for Music, heavy messaging and calls.
I heard Music quality n Lumia phones is just OK. I used to listen in my N8, which is far more better in music (excellent boss) by any other phones which i testesd
1. I am in India, i don't need video calls at all.
2. Omina W is 20K and Lumia is 30k (nokia why this much price)
3. By next year end, Apollo comes out, looking to get new phone or may be I can throw extra money now to get a phone that might run Apollo
what about the titan?
Get HTC Titan?
Titan is not available yet in my country. I believe it goes to 32K comparing to price HTC Radar is having now. I am not going to put lots of money if it's worth getting a new phone after Mid 2012 or by next year end.
I have HTC Mozart and am getting Omnia W which is reasonably priced has amoled screen and GPU is great Nokia is overpriced for me
Sent from my 7 Mozart T8698 using Board Express

Hey Dude... M also from Hyderabad.....
Me gonna order Omina W then... Nokia really lost it's mind while pricing the Lumia mobiles. 23-24K would have been the niche price.

New work phone that will be bought from the carrier. Price no consideration. The carrier is selling these phones unlocked and types modem shouldn't be and issue. The company just gives me a phone every 2 years and pays carrier fees. No maintenance, extras, out of warranty fixes or accessories added. Will own this phone in a year of working for them. I tend to update and maintain my phones and I dabble in Android development.
Most important critera:
Good reception and call quality
Sturdyness
Easy and cheap to fix
Good mod community and long time mod support (preferably with NFC intact)
Middling importance:
Battery.
Size (not 5.5+)
Camera
Decently dust/waterproof
Not important:
Screen quality (above 720p)
Storage (above 16GB)
CPU/GPU
Weight
Wifi reception
MicroSD
Wireless charging
Fingerprint/retina scan
Speakers
Front camera
Available choices (leaving out some older generation devices):
HTC 10
Huawei P9 Titanium
Samsung Galaxy A5 A510
Samsung Galaxy S7
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 G389
Sony Xperia M5
Sony Xperia X
Sony Xperia X Performance
Sony Xperia XA
Sony Xperia XZ
ZTE Axon 7
Leaning towards the Xperia XZ. Samsung seems to be no good for mod support in recent generations. Don't know about HTC, ZTE and Huawei.

Don't go for Samsung their ram management is not to good
And google out the other models and compare them
OP3T is sadly not an option. Work is buying what I ask for from the list above. The main criteria is ease of repair and mod support for the models in the list.

Hi everyone, an year ago I bought my Xperia z3 on Amazon on a sale for 200€.
Now the screen is staring to have some problems (dead pixels, warmer spots ecc), so Amazon told me I could either send it back to them and have my 200€ fully recharged OR send it to a Sony repair center.
Now my question is: is it worth repairing it under Sony's warranty? Or can I buy a better phone than Xperia Z3 for 200-250€?
Thanks in advance!
Have a look at the Honor 6x or the Nubia Z11 Mini S. Not really high-end compared to Sony Z3 though, but you can't get really high-end at a price of 250 € by focusing on the "standard" manufacturers (Samsung, Sony, LG, etc.).
You get quite good HW for little money when you decide to get phones from chinese manufacturers, yet the SW updates aren't always delivered and you may get bloatware and perhaps even spyware.

Thanks for replying. That's what I'm worried about, that z3 is still better than those phones. I mean, I could buy a Huawei p9 lite but meh, maybe Honor 8? That's a nice upgrade. Or I'll keep my money and buy some random xiaomi note, then put lineage asap
Well, the Honor 8 is about 100 € above your range.
The P9 is an alternative, the wife of a co-worker has it and is satisfied with it.
The Xiaomi Note is a phone from 2015, so the same as the Z3. And it doesn't have LTE 800, in certain countries it could be a problem.
