Given how easy it looks to access the speaker, do anyone think it't worth a DIY project to replace the rubbish speaker?

Can I have recommendations for a bluetooth headset/headphones from anyone who has to wear eye glasses when using their headset.
I've tried a couple in a shop, and the problem tends to be where they clip over the ear or rest on the ear they interfere with the glasses.
Has anyone used the Bluesppon AX2 as that looks to fit "in ear" and may be better for us glasses wearers.
Thanks
Mike
Being a glasses wearer myself, i have tried a number of bluetooth headsets and have found the best one is the "O2 Blue" by Bluetrek, it is very similar to the Bluetrek G3 but is only available through O2 shops....
or on ebay (hehe)
this is a great little unit, well worth the money.

I've used the Bluespoon AX and it was very comfortable, but unfortunately the amount of static made it near unusable. I don't actually wear specs, but it would have come nowhere close . I belive the AX2 is identical but with different components inside. I'd be very interested to hear if you find it more acceptable.
I've ended up with a iTeck Clip III from Orange which has the shirt clip and headphone design. While the design isn't ideal because you have it clipped to your shirt, it seems to have good reception. It would also work fine with specs...
Anyone know of some good speaker replacement, not oem but something aftermarket i guess.,

Very tricky this exchange, finding a speaker that fits.
Hey guys,
I bent my speaker grill out of shape when I was trying to brush the chrome frame around it on the front cover. I managed to fit it back in, but it looks like crap.
Does anybody have a spare speaker grill from a broken housing lying around? I can't find any on ebay and I'd be willing to pay a few dollars plus shipping (I'm in Australia).
Thanks,
zuka

You should check out your local mobile store, and ask if there are any dummy sensation phones knocking about. The manufacturers sometimes uses actual hardware when building the dummy ones, and I would imagine, if they're a bit nice, they might let you have one.
Worth a shot.

I've managed to scratch the bejesus out of my captivate case, right beside the camera. Anyway, does anyone, anywhere sell that? Everybody seems to have the batteries, screens, etc but not this part.

ebay has a couple different sellers with the back housing. This is the cheapest I saw in a quick search
That's awesome. Thank you. What about that top section where the headphone jack is? Does anyone sell that with the usb port cover? My mom broke hers somehow......
Search Ebay for "i897 housing".
there are tons of results.
Cool....what part has the USB door and the headphone jack?
Is there maybe an adapter available to fit ears better like the rubber tips you find on most in ear headphones? The hard plastic just doesnt stay in my ear and starts to hurt after short periods of listening.
I wonder... are they the same size as EarPods? I have a pair of EarPods and absolutely hate them, even though they sound great. They make my ears hurt badly after an hour or so. Funny, because I never had an issue with them before... my ears are weird.
If they're the same dimensions as EarPods, then maybe EarPod covers would work. I think you could force them on if you tried. The only issue is making a space for the grills.
What's the build quality like for these, BTW? I'm kind of interested in USB-C headphones.
