[Q] [HELP] How to fix IMEI ? - LG Optimus 3D

Hi guys, this is really frustrating.
I had ICS on my phone, and wanted to go back to GB. So I followed a guide that saidvery easy steps:
Flash complete bootV21E
Flash x-loader, u-boot
Fix imei
Everthing worked fine, except the imei thing. I cannot make Tutty nor Hyperterminal to connect to the phone when is put to "CP USB" or "CP Image Download" port modes.
What can I do? Is there something I'm doing wrong? =(
Please help!
EDIT: Ok, found a solution. Nevermind guys. Mods; you can lock this thread.

rooted Magic back to Factory defaults :(

Hello Guys,
first i have to say sorry for my bad english...
now my problem:
yesterday i´d successfully rooted my HTC magic with the tutorial from Hayriku.
My Problem now is that i have to send my phone to vodafone and i´d like to set it back to factory defaults and also unroot it.
i searched the forum and found another thread with the original sapphire recovery... so i tried it this way.
i put the img. file on my SD Card and typed in the command for a reboot, but the cmd line says me "not found"
i typed "adb shell reboot" but then it told me "not found"
Now i´ve got a huge problem and hope somebody could help me.
very much thanks in advance
best regards... Dominik
Hi,
Could you post the link to the tutorial please? I've seen differents versions of the same one, so maybe some steps differs)
But, if you have well done the other parts of the tutorial, I presume that you can do an "ugly" reboot... (aka removing the battery and boot it normally).
Hey,
thanks for your answer,
it was the first Tutorial which is in the Haykiru Root thread, here from XDA-Developers.
isnt it the same way to reboot via ADB, or power off and start manually ?
how can i check if my phone is resetted to ne original recovery ?
Many many questions
best regards

[Q] KS20 NV2 Probs...

Hey i need help.. Long ago when i wanted to flash a wm6.5.3 ROM on my phone i accidentally selected a flash.bin for another phone. I already managed to fix it up with wm6.5.3 but no matter what i do i cant get my nv2 back. The phone can connect in normal mode but when i press flash, it says Phone blocked. When i flash in emergency mode, it goes but of course cant restore the nv2. I even tried flashing when it is running android. Only when i tried with android the nv2 IMEI number showed but still, says Phone block when i hit the flash button. Can anyone help? PS: J-tag doesnt solve it either..

think the adminz need to bring a new forum for LG Optimus P350 in here !!
I've bricked my LG P350 too. After i use Call+Vol Up+End, I see this on my screen:
Fastboot mode started:
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
STALL GET_DESCRIPTION 128 6 1006 0 18
fastboot: processing commands
What shall I do? Can anyone help me? What programs can I use to restore it?
I recieved today the same error-message:
I thought my p350 is bricked, but I tried with the following progs/images about 5 or 6 hours and my phone runs now with the custom rom.
-recovery-RA-pecan-2.2.1-GNM-drap.img.zip
-fastbootflasherV2.zip
-Pecamod_v0.5.zip
-install usb-driver for lg first. Don't run LG-Software
-open fastbootflasher
-connect phone via usb (several tries)
-flash recovery (recovery-RA-pecan-2.2.1-GNM-drap.img)
-reboot phone while holding volume down ,send + end buttons, than it will start in recovery mode.
-Install Pecamod_v0.5.zip from phone sd-card.
Good Luck
p350 bricked
I got similar error when I plugged my phone to my pc. It says:
Fastboot mode started:
-- suspend --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange -
When not plugged in:
Fastboot mode started:
udc-start()
This is the only forum that tackles this subject/ and was trying to do these steps:
-install usb-driver for lg first. Don't run LG-Software
-open fastbootflasher
-connect phone via usb (several tries)
-flash recovery (recovery-RA-pecan-2.2.1-GNM-drap.img)
-reboot phone while holding volume down ,send + end buttons, than it will start in recovery mode.
-Install Pecamod_v0.5.zip from phone sd-card.
downloaded all of the files from net but unfortunately my pc doesnt detect my p350. I think I have downloaded all of the usb drivers available for my lg phone still no go/
Hey schweitzi67, can you give me a step by step instructions on how you did your recovery? I'd really appreciate it if you will. Thanks in advance.
first of all, since you all can boot into fastboot, NONE of you guys are bricked
and second, heres how to fix your fastboot (now before you continue, remember that you need to replace the lg optimus one files in this link with the files that suit your phone, which is to say that you need to find the kdz file for your phone before you begin this):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088046
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015332
read through those two links carefully and make sure you know what you are doing because your phone can get bricked if you do something wrong. if you have the slightest doubt go research more
Hi. I tried doing all instructions from the first thread you posted. When everything is ready, plugged my p350, went to command prompt and typed "fastboot erase recovery" but it said "<waiting for device>" I have downloaded lgunited mobile driver from lgsetup (B2CappSetup). What do you think the problem is? Thanks!

I'm so happy! thanks again.
my P350 is just dead
Hi Guys,
Have the very same problem here. Tried to flash new ROM, phone entered in yellow emergency screen, got an failed error from KDZ and now the phone is dead.
I can not seem to start it, tried any keys combinations but the phone seems to not respond at all.
If i at least could get into an emergency screen or something but...nothing...black screen and no hearth beat
Is this really the end of it?
Much appreciated for a solution here.

[Q] Installing ROM on MTK6575

Hello,
I'm new to flashing and installing ROM on android phones.
I enabled root in this phone.
I wanted to install JellyBean 4.2.2.
After a long search on the internet and a lot of trying I decided to open a thread here.
My phone is Star N800 MTK6575 with Android 4.0.4.
When I tried to install ROM through recovery mode it showed me this:
"Failed to verify whole-file signature"
I tried to install ClockWorkMode Recovery without success
SP flash tool and Odin also disappointed me..
Could anyone help me please?
Maybe I did something wrong, can you please explain me step by step how to upgrade this phone?
Please help me, every answer will be appreciated.
Thank you!
I think I found the problem.
When I plug in my phone in the usb, when it's turn off and without the battery, I see it in the Device Manager appearing and then disconnecting.
I tried to change the Power Settings but it didn't help. Anyone faced this problem in the past and knows how to fix it?
Dont alter the zip,
in cwm toggle off the sign verification, then try flashing..
SENT FROM MONSTER ! ! !
HIT THANX OR I WILL JUST
CRY...
I don't have CWM, I have a regular android recovery mode..
I can't flash anything with it..
HELP ME PLEASE :crying:

[Q] Bricked Kross GY-601 Chinese Tablet

Hi, I have a Kross GY-601 Tablet... One of the cheap chinese tablet you can pickup at factorydirect (Canada)
I seem to have bricked it when attempting to port Clockwork Mod Recovery to it. It does not show anything on screen or do anything, When I connect it to my computer.. It shows up as M6-CHIP in Device Manager as shown in my image.
The internal storage is completly gone as a result of my failed attempt to un-brick it..
It would be a great help if someone helped me fix this..
Thanks in advance..
-Henrique
PS: I'm only 13 sorry if my description of the problem is a bit bad..
Sooo,
You probably don't have proper drivers, use PDANet ones, they work even with obscure tablets.
You tried to port CWM or flash?
It's not bricked since your computer detects it
Last thing, do you have a backup recovery image or another recovery image that works so you can get it back up?
Daniel
I was dumb enough not to do any recovery image backups..
Also.. I ported cwm then flashed it with dd just poped the .img into the recovery block.. but since I didn't compile it properly when I adb reboot recovery.. It got into a boot loop.. so I tried to fix it but broke it even more... So then I tried re-writing the firmware for generic 4.1.2 chinese tablet.. but that messed it up to the point were it only shows as M6-CHIP.. i can only turn on and off.. nothing else.. no boot no screen light up nothing..
I can help you BUT....
