Has anyone noticed that the stock G2x comes with some LogMeIn packages(com.logmein.rescue and com.logmein.rescuesecurity) already installed? Anyone know what they are there for? I've yet to see anywhere that I could make use of them, which makes me wonder if they're there for LG or other companies to gain access for whatever reason.

So why is it on my phone with no app in the app drawer associated with it? I don't like the sound of it...

Okay, so T-Mobile is including Logmein Rescue so they can access your machine for support. Personally, I backed it up and deleted it with Titanium Backup. No need for that crap. Everything is working fine.
The two apps are:
com.logmein.rescue 6.3.246
com.logmein.rescuesecurity 6.3.246
Thanks, I just froze them using titanium backup.

I removed them the first day I got the phone. Just use Root Explorer to delete them. I didn't like the sound of it either.
There is a thread about which apps you can delete, like the Tmobile crap, EA Store, games, etc. I posted what the app name was compared to the store and what I deleted without any recourse.
I removed a dozen probably.
I'm not entirely sure what is going on. But whenever I try and download this one specific app (samurai vengeance) it says I have insufficient space on my card. I know this to be untrue. I have tons of space left. Over 1 gig alone in the program and close to 11 gigs in my internal. What's going on and how can I fix it? Any suggestions would be beautiful. I'm afraid this may carry over to other apps I want to install as well.
*Edit: I am running Infused 1.5.3 and the community kernal that comes with it. I partitioned my SD card a while ago but did a factory reset (not sure if that removes the partition or not). Thought that info may be helpful.

I am having the exact same problem! And it wasn't just that application. I ran into two instances of this same occurrence in the market. It is borderline frustrating.
I'm also running Infused 1.5.3 and the community kernal v8, both of which have been treating me phenomenally thanks to gtg's hard work. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I never partitioned my SD in any way, so I don't think that has anything to do with it.
I'm starting to wonder if I should take it back to stock and just start all over. But I'd rather not.

It has to do with the cache size of the new market or that's what I've heard. The way to solve it is to go into applications -> market -> clear cache/data -> restart phone. And you should be able to download whatever you are trying to download again. But once your cache for the market fills up you have to do it again. Annoying I know, but at least it works.
i got this error today! and for the first time ever. i had just wiped and reflashed up my phone. it was plants vs zombies, a huge file, and i already have about 300 apps, all on my phone, not the sd card. so i thought i actually had a problem. but im using only half my phone storage, so i went back and tried it again and it worked fine. installed a few more apps after that too. dunno why. but yeah.
Thanks for all of the replies guys! This clears it up a whole bunch. Before I even thought about trying the old market I actually set my app downloads to go to my internal instead of the default 2 gig partitioned section. This helped me download more, but didn't solve everything. Now that I know it's the new market, it makes everything go down easier. I love these forums and I love the infuse. Keep up the good work.

Well I dont know if it was an app i downloaded or what because it did not start happening dirrectly after a download or installation but my phone about every week adds what appear to be app shortcuts to my desktop (launcher thing). one is titled Search and has a picture of the android guy. The other is always some game. These appear to be just links. Also in my notification bar, if i pull it down, there is an add there too. "Meet hot singles" was this week. Is there any app or method to detect which app is doing this? I already downloaded Adfree and Airblocker hoping that it would deny this suspicious activity.
You may need an app called AirPush detector. I would start there. Otherwise, retrace your steps and uninstall whatever you have only had on the phone for a little while
Or just wipe data and start fresh. Get rid of the junk you never use while your at it.
Or there's that
Well i have not tried the airpush detector and it is the kind of thing i wanted , i am considering wiping data soon too, i was thinking of doing that. I end up downloading so many programs and I'm like, I will so use this. Then i never use it.

Yeah >.<, I have been very busy and haven't read the replies yet even. I was planning on just factory resetting after backing up the apks' with titanium backup. I was then going to install the apps as I need them to get rid of ones i don't use anymore and also find out which one is doing all the adds. I have been removing adds i clearly done use first and that is what I have been doing. But I'm pretty busy around this time of the year >.< Up until December.

Are you sure you saw tutorials showing how to get info on the "internal" sd card? They normally go there. You sure it wasn't "external", that's the same as the micro sd card.

Actual you can. One way is to go to manage apps then select an app. There you will see a move to sdcard option. The easiest way by far though is to use this handy little app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidsail.dsapp2sd&hl=en
You can also use it to set the SDcard as the default save location. Some apps won't play nice if installed to SD though. Meaning they take forever to load and there widgets won't work. Why you would need to do this with a phone that has 2gigs of storage is sorta beyond me. The OP must have a metric crap ton of apps. lol

The best help I can manage is a suggestion to avoid this. There is a good reason it wasn't implemented, more than one. Unless you like your apps to dramatically slow down loading times and disappear on boot, that is.

Yes, I did a bit further research and found a way, but it required making your phone think that the external SD was your internal SD, and I just thought that might be too much. Now that you say that it makes it slower, I'm going to abandon the project entirely. I have enough space on my internal SD to store my apps, and I can live with only storing media on my external. Thanks everyone!

Yeah, but it seems to be random apps. I have large apps that will install and small apps that won't and vice versa. I also have an issue with some apps crash the phone when I try to move it to the sd card - other apps will move. It's odd. Sideloading apps works, but will not update if there is a play store update. I'm sure these issues will work out with later versions - we're pretty bleeding edge with KK right now. This isn't a deal-breaker...

Thanks for the heads up, Its still a nice rom. Ill figure something out, trying to sideload later.
Not sure if this is related or not, but I can't install the paid version of SwiftKey on the new Beanstalk build (which is CM-based). It crashes the phone during installation each time, which automatically restarts the phone.
I tried a full reset/wipe and I'm still having the same issue. I don't have any other paid apps to try it out with, but I know this one won't install.

Not sure how I would be going about this "wrong". I'm convinced there's something wrong with the ROM itself and I'm hoping there's a workaround. I'm simply downloading and installing from the Play Store - pretty straightforward.
Me too. No problems here. I don't think it's the ROM. If it can't be reproduced, it can't be fixed. Need some more info on what could cause it. Are you using too much of your data partition?

No, that can't be it. I had no issues when I was using CM 10 and the storage on my phone is basically empty. It has to be the ROM - by the way I'm using the CM-based BeanStalk with Kitkat. Not the regular CM 11.

I have 1.1 GB free
The only other possiblity that I can think of is that maybe the OS is trying to force SwiftKey to install on the SD card, since that's where all my other apps are installed by default. And since keyboards can't be installed on the SD card, it may be causing it to crash the phone.
Just as a test, I was able to install SwiftKey Free with no issues. It works fine, however the paid version still crashes the phone.
Yep

vorsprungtechnik I beleive thats it, sometimes the error "cant install to storage' comes up. Mine crashes too and i have swiftkey, XDA premium or any purchased app. It has to be a prob with storage. i even went back to gingerbread and worked my way to kitkat but the same issue. I contacted the GOOGLE play store, they were no help because they are showing it installed. Any way he or I will figure it out.

The new version of Beanstalk seems to fix this issue. It took about 5 mins to install for some reason, but other than that it's working fine. Must have been the ROM after all.
