Is it possible by any chance to pair the Nexus 5 with my PC and mount it as a drive that way instead of using a USB cable?

Hey,
Out of curiousity, has anyone here tried to attach a USB CD/DVD drive to their Xoom, and if so, does it work? For example, if I put a few text files on a CD (not necessarily a music CD), and plugged the drive into the adapter (Im sure it provdes regular USB 2.0 voltage), would it detect and mount the drive so I could access the files?
I noticed someone wrote an app to mount USB mass storage devices "[root] Stick Mount", I wonder if it is probable for an app that allows HDMI Out through that port?
hello to all
sorry for my english
I would like to solve a problem
basically if I try to connect the nexus 5 port usb car.
does not recognize it. I connect it to the music of course
I appears on the display of the car radio (unsupported)
I used to be before the iphone 4 without problems, or even USB flash drives normal or mp3 players, I connected them with a USB cable, and immediately worked.
nexus 5 does not work
at home we have 2 nexus 5 .
one unlocked, and one still original.
neither one works
are both recognized on the PC of course, appear as removable devices.
have any ideas on how I can fix in car
i have a honda civic i-vtec 2009
You can't. The nexus uses mtp to handle external devices accessing your phone storage.
Your computer can use mtp but most car units do not have the mtp protocol which is required to access your phones storage.

If your car supports audio over Bluetooth that's probably the easiest way to get it working.
I am wondering, because it would be awesome to build some kind of dock and convert Nexus 5 to laptop. Does anyone know if it's in any way possible to use an external screen with USB OTG hub? Does anyone know how to make that possible?
I have already running USB HUB that is able to charge N5 and use keyboard, mouse and usb flash stick. Only thing that I need is an external monitor.

I know they make the SanDisk dual end android otg flash drive that supposed work without proprietary software ,but I also know that particular one is junk.
I got a sandisk extreme pro and ordered the otg cable separate Will this work transferring files once plugged in or does this otg..a tuff only work wirh a certain dedicated type of flash drive and or app that's needed on top of the flash drive .
My theory once I get it was plug in the otg cable that's connected to the sandisk drive and attach the micro usb end to s6 I should see the drive inside a file manager app .But some YouTube videos show the usb otg dual drive not coming up within the phones settings or storage options .
Has anyone used a regular flash drive with otg cable to transfer and what's the method ?
