Either through root or a launcher? I don't see the option in nova but would certainly like to gain that screen restate back.

Wait until someone manages to integrate PIE controls in a 4.4 ROM.
Paranoid Android and Cyanogenmod will have these options, whenever they are released for the Nexus 5.

Use a root editor and add
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
to the bottom of /system/build.prop and reboot.
I've been trying LMT for the PIE controls.

When browsing through some Themes I have noticed some ics lock screens look like they have about 5 different apps you can launch from the lockscreen. Is that mod a zip you can flash or or is it baked into certain ROMS or is it simply a setting I am missing? I am using CM9 right now and I see no option to add more apps to launch on the lock screen.
Here is what I mean. (Sorry about size I just grabbed it from the thread)

hey there
this option is implemented in some ROMS like codename android who lets you choose up to 8 targets(4 costumizable).
other than that you can use app because there are few locker apps that does exacly that.
you can use go locker free theme:

or the paid version :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.italianlab.goscreenlock.theme.ics&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5pdGFsaWFubGFiLmdvc2NyZWVubG9jay50aGVtZS5pY3MiXQ..
please consider hitting the thanks button if it was useful
I would also recommend Go Lockker.
It has a lot of theming options.
Is there any way to fix the current buttons with a theme of some sort?
In the image you can see the current misaligned buttons, and the proposed fix.

Without any problems if you are rooted...
We just have to change few things in systemUI, I believe we could do this without decompiling...

Hello, Im owning xiaomi redmi note 4 using a custom rom with android v7.1.2 and I would like to change my quick settings to the older look(similar to the picture I added below), I've been looking for apps/theme/mods that would help me change that, but I've found nothing that actually changes the quick settings and Im not really sure how to do it on my own because it seems the way roms are built have changed and I can no longer find the apks and mod the files inside the systemui(I couldn't even find the systemui, maybe its just like that on the xiaomi, but its not the point). If someone could help me do that, that would be very nice, thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply, but not, this app does not let me change the quick settings.
Is there a way to hide all these useless duplicate skin-toned emojis on my phone? Preferably without switching my keyboard app...
I really hate scrolling through them all and looking at the various shades of the very same emotion:

P.S. using the AOSP Keyboard that comes with resurrection remix

Use APKTool to decompile the app then remove the emojis then recompile the app and install the modified app.

for those who enjoy the Pixel style Launcher, follow the download of the Android One Launcher, extracted from Motorola One vision.
He now updates Motorola's standard Launcher. If you want to remove it, just uninstall the update.
