[ROM] 4.4.2 | CM | 01/05 | OneDroid | Pre-installed Google Apps, SU, Busybox, Xposed - One (M7) Android Development

Important: The HTC One (M8) has been launched and I am working on bringing this awesome ROM to that device, but since I am a student, I cannot afford to pay $650 for a unlocked/developer version right now, I cannot test my ROMs for stability and bugs, so please consider donating some amount towards the purchase. Even $1 would help You can send the donation to the email ID mentioned below or click Donate To Me below my profile info on the left side

What is OneDroid:
OneDroid is a custom ROM for HTC One, based on CyanogenMod. It's always up to date with latest commits directly from CM repos, optimized for best battery life and performance and offers a lot more, like pre-installed Google apps, screen recording, lots of tweaks, etc.
What is the aim of this ROM:
I made this ROM for the following reasons:
1. To provide updates as soon as code gets committed, so that you're always up to date
2. Remove features which aren't necessary, so that you get a ROM which doesn't have a lot of crap in it
3. Fix bugs and optimize the code, so that you get the most stable ROM
4. Add my own features, like inbuilt IR app, OTA updates and more, so that you get the best experience
Features:
Based on latest CM commits, 4.4.2 KOT49H
Unsecured boot.img
Deodexed and Zipaligned
Bloatware free
Pre-rooted with latest Superuser v1.0.2.8
Pre-installed latest Google Apps
Pre-installed latest Xposed
Pre-installed latest Busybox
Fully optimized for battery life and speed (this thing flies!)
Custom init.d and build.prop tweaks related to VM, internet, ext4/mounts and more for smoothness and performance
All latest /system applications
Inbuilt screen recording and IR blaster app
Inbuilt Flash Player
GPU UI rendering
Most stable CPU governor
Custom kernel with OC support, Button Light Notifications (BLN), lots of wake options (like sweep2wake, sweep2sleep, doubletap2wake), etc
and so much more

FAQ:
Q. The video recorded by screen recorder doesn't play at times, what's wrong?
A. Its BETA.
Q. Whenever I am using 4G/LTE, the signal bars don't show any activity, does that mean LTE/4G doesn't work?
A. No, it's a glitch/bug in CM code. When you have turned on LTE/4G and don't see any network indicators, it does not mean 4G/LTE isn't working.
Q. Can I install a particular build on top of another (like, flash BETA 13 over 12) without wiping anything (dirty flash)?
A. Yes
Q. Is S-OFF mandatory in order to flash this ROM?
A. No, you do not require S-OFF in order to flash this ROM. You can flash this ROM regardless of whether your device is S-OFF or S-ON.
Q. What is the name of the iconpack used in the picture at the top? Also, the wallpaper link please?
A. The iconpack is called ClickUI. Wallpaper here

Can I just ask, what is the purpose of this ROM? There are already two Cyanogen 11 ROMs in the Dev section, so what does this do, that the others do not?

It's rooted, busybox and gapps pre-installed. I'll be pushing out updates quickly (as soon as new code gets committed to CM branch) and I have planned to add some of my own features and strip out useless CM ones. Also, I am working on the CM kernel to add some more features (like swipe2wake), fix bugs and optimize code I just need a bit of time (since I am studying in school)!

Can you give some more information about wifi and buttons? If these there arent big issues i guess this is ready to be a daily driver
Oh and can confirm that hangouts video call is working? It wasnt working for me on the kitkat build from rootzwiki i tried earlier.

I would also like to know if wifi and buttons are fixed, other than that this seems like a great build!!

1. WiFi is now working properly (but after each boot-up, it takes at least 5-10 mins before you can connect to a network. It happens only once though, everytime after you boot-up). I am trying to fix this from happening.
2. Buttons respond but doesn't glow at times (random).
3. Yes, hangouts video call works!

[ROM]RG2x-MIUI v2.3.24 -SWIPE NOTIFICATIONS - FINAL RELEASE(03/24/2012)

I'm sorry to say, and yet this may be to early. But as of today I will no longer be handling MIUI and moving too something better like CM7, ICS, or run MIUI-Singh-UI. I'm going to be busy after that week going to Senior Prom, Getting a job, going to college, etc.
I am really going to miss all the great experience I've seen in other users. I did this for fun, and not for the donations to keep me going or motivation like some developers. But they are better than me and I give thanks to them for doing so. They need it the most.
So goodbye G2x community, well goodbye RG2x

Been there. I still have stock backup just incase I want to go back but a lot has changed since then.

I want to eventually put a new rom on a G2X, but I really want one with a great camera. Has this rom fixed the camera issue for MIUI? I've read in other threads that the CM7 camera is the best for this phone.

looking good, oh...what faux kernel is this? CM SV?

CM7 camera is flashable...what??? Awesome. Must go find the zip. Right now the camera I am using is the stock gingerbread one, which is just atrocious. Tomorrow I'll be flashing this and just wanted to do my homework and have everything prepared.

Just depends on how you use your phone. I recently got up to 18hrs on my phone, on heavy texting, medium browsing, and facebooking
How about bravia hack with cm7 cam .. not trying to.hijack thread, but wanted to do rom myself too..
Reason cm7 cam is preferred cuz miui cam has shutter lag n cm7 app is better.

Okay guys, as promised I opened up a new thread for the PA builds.
You have to read Post 1 and Post 2 if you want to use this ROM.
If you don't have time for that, use this quick solution.
Credits first:
This ROM wouldn't exist without the great work from benee and pastime1971 on CM10 hackfest
molesarecoming & D4rKn3sSyS for creating ParanoidAndroid
Ricardo Cerqueira for getting CM9 on our phone and being a great device maintainer
Thanks to goo.im, Korumera and vadonka for hosting offers
Features:
ParanoidAndroid - control each and every dpi value and layout mode yourself on a per app basis (see post 4)
PDroid ready and included
Center Clock feature
Close all button on recent apps screen
HwaSettings included - use it to disable hwa on apps which have problems with it (e.g. to fix rotation crashs on Browser/Facebook)
Transparent Statusbar option
P990 only: automatic NITZ fix for SU660 BBs
touchkey vibrations lowered as I hate the strong default ones
Warnings:
This ROM is called hackfest for a reason, don't use it if you expect something bugfree
you will have bugs - the question is if you still prefer it over a stable ROM like CM7 / Stock
don't blame me if anything goes wrong because of this ROM - be it the missed important phonecall or an unwanted pregnancy
if you have problems do the following steps
check the known bugs section at post 2
read the the last 2-3 pages in this thread
try to search your problem
still nothing? okay, you may post about your bug now!
Attach a logcat or in case of reboots/bsods a last_kmsg (see post 3).
And provide as much information about the issue as you can.
If you fail to provide proper bugreports your post will get ignored
use link 17 to download ParanoidAndroid hackfest
Unfortunately I can't and won't promise to fix your problem
please don't ask for ETAs on releases or fixes
last but not least: let's make it a friendly thread which is about helping out each other - but without dumbass posts
Known bugs:
If you got bugs with ParanoidPreferences go to Settings - Apps and wipe data for ParanoidPreferences.
2g/3G switch widget isn't working. I suggest to use the Toggle 2G/3G app as (an even better) workaround.
No bug, but as people keep failing in reading the instructions:
If any Google Apps app (e.g. Play Store) doesn't start after an update to a new build: you forgot to reflash gapps
To refresh the HwaSettings database you need to clear it's data.
The reboot at ParanoidAndroid Preferences usually reboots into recovery. No biggie, just choose reboot system and you're back in business.
Can't fix that for us as the Preferences are closed source.
Changing Youtube layout to 800px at ParanoidSettings leads to Youtube freeze
General known bugs due to our non-official supported CM10 hackfest:
Changing default keyboards (e.g. Swiftkey) sometimes doesn't stick after a reboot.
Use this method by acidreams as a workaround.
All CM9 bugs like no Chrome support, no hd videocam, scrolling jittering etc.
All hackfest bugs: no automatic brightness, wifi standby battery drain, no data usage, reboot sometimes flawky, some widgets disappear after reboot
P999: RILJ battery drain(?), no wifi calling
Downloads:

Gapps: http://goo.im/gapps
New Baseband fix: new_baseband.zip
Instructions:
Do a full wipe if you come from a non-jellybean ROM
Wipe cache + dalvik when you come from CM10 ROM
Flash ROM + Gapps
Reboot
Don't restore system apps (like Settings) or system data (like Wifi data) with TitaniumBackup!
You'll find a new Settings entry "Paranoid Settings" where you can setup all the magic
If you want to use adb, here are my modded adb drivers for ICS.

Some notes on providing proper logs:
To be on the safe side: Always provide a logcat, a radio logcat and the last_kmsg
Probably the easiest way for logcat beginners is to use Lumberjack
If it is a CM10 problem you should post your bugreport either at the Hackfest thread or if you know that your logs are helpful at the CM10 dev thread.
see here for further instructions on how to produce a good logcat[/url]
this is too complicated for you? well...
How to set the workspace mode
How to change an apps Layout and size
Unfortunately exactly Youtube is the only app this isn't currently working for :cyclops:
I'm looking forward to trying this. Thanks so much
Well I'm just waiting for you to give us the green light for download.
I'm loving the cute backgrounds in the first post
On topic: i cant wait to try this. Tony, you never let me down with your roms.
Good stuff right here, assuming the same kernel is being used as the other JB ROM. I didn't seen mention of this in the OP.
Okay guys, the build is up!
Please provide feedback as I (as most of you know by now) only own a P990 and am a working a little in the dark for the P999.
Some important notes:
This is using the CM10 hackfest as a base - wifi does (and will) drain battery!
Disabling it whenever possible is the only workaround.
This is the only major bug at the P990. I'm not sure about the RILJ problem some(?) people have at the P999.
No UMS support yet. You can enable it in the menu, but it won't work. Planned for the next build.
(And of course the stock kernel will never support it, you have to use harshs JB kernel then).

Well before I beging I already know who to get lumberjack to work thanks to you. But Should I go straight for harsh kernel and then report bugs or would you rather we stay on stock kernel for now?
Edit: The website is down.
Edit2: Okay is back up but where is the rom?
Edit3: Removed by request.

Delete your Edit3 please, I'm hiding the number for a reason (which you'll understand if you read the OP thoroughly).
If you're talking about UMS - I don't need logs there, I know what's missing, but thanks.
But if you run into problems I do request logs though.
Note that I won't work on the RIL, as that's too frustrating without the device, especially as I'm not really experienced with that.
djvoleur is doing that, let's hope he will succeed.
I don't care which kernel you use. My phone works best with the default kernel
(which is the one from arcee with a couple additions by benee, including the memfix dualcore zram module).
harshs kernel does work as well, so just choose the one you prefer.
If you want to use another kernel it has to use earlysuspend instead of fb_earlysuspend (ask your kernel dev).
And it should have compiled zram as a module in order to utilize the dualcore zram script.

I only know of the harsh one besides this one.
I guess I just have to reconfigure my dual boot setup to work with the stock kernel for now. Thanks for the rom, will flash soon.
The only reason for me to abandon the hackfest was having a very hot phone, does this also carry the same problem?

So strange how every p999 is different. I actually have the LG branded p999 with the brown tinted screen as opposed to the black tinted T-Mobile branded p999.
I haven't had maybe but one or two FC's since Build 1 of the Hackfest ROM. No heat, sleep of deaths, or real signal loss.
Well I just flashed the ROM, and this one's also toasty. maybe my device doesn't like this, lets see what other people report.

FAQ
[Q] Dev-Host is not loading for me! Help! What did I do wrong?!
A. Relax. You didn't do anything wrong. First of all check what browser you're using; if you're using Internet Explorer, go ahead and close it and delete system32 (J/K). --1. Make sure that your browser is up to date. If the issue still exists, make sure that your anti-virus software or firewall is not blocking dev-host. Sometimes our malware guardians overeat to shortened URLs and tend to freak out over some like "d-h.st". If you're still experiencing issues, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and double check that they haven't blocked dev-host from you.
[Q] How do I install this?
A. There's steps in the first post above, but if you insist on me reiterating: First download it and put it on your phone. Then reboot into the recovery. Lastly, wipe Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache then Install the ZIP file.
[Q] Why am I getting an Install Error?
A. Well I'm not sure actually. It's something you're experiencing on your end. To keep you from having to redownload the ROM again, check to see if your Recovery is up to date first. I recommend the latest version of TWRP. If you're still having issues then redownload the ROM as your download may have gotten mistakenly corrupted as data packets were being transferred from dev-host to your computer or from your computer to your phone.
[Q] Why am I bootlooping?
A. Well I'm not sure actually. It's something you're experiencing on your end. To begin with however, pull out your battery then put it back in your phone. It should be off now. NOW hold down Power, Volume UP, and Home Key all at the same time so that your phone reboots into the recovery. Now wipe data, and cache and flash the ROM again. If the issue still persists, check to make sure that your recovery is up to date and or that you have a copy of the ROM that did not corrupt at all when downloading.
[Q] Why is it taking so long for my device to turn back on?
A. Well usually the first boot on any ROM takes a while as the phone is preparing the system as it would as if the phone was new. Give the phone about 5 minutes to perform the initial boot. If it still gets stuck, then you may be bootlooping.
[Q] Why won't the keyboard pop up?!
A. Egh. I hate this. It's not really a bug or an issue it's just that the stupid MIUI Tutorial text at the notification bar prevents it from popping up the first few times. Try and get the tutorial text to go away and then re-hit the text field that you wanted to type in again.
[Q] Why is the launcher a bit laggy after booting up?
A. It is still preparing all of your apps and possible actions you may do (e.g. swipe left)
[Q] Why does the Recorder App give me an error?
A. Because you need to go into it's settings and change the file record type to 3gpp to AMR
[Q] Why doesn't the NavBar work in the JB Control Panel?
A. Because I removed it's functionality as it caused major issues.
[Q] Why isn't MI Camera included in this?
A. It's not included in almost any MIUI JellyBean ROM because it's proprietary to the MI-Phones.
[Q] Why aren't my Voicemails playing or loading?
A. They take a few minutes to initially load off of Verizon's Servers and Download
[Q] Why are there multiple weather widgets?
A. One (maybe two) are for the Chinese and International Weather services and then one is for the app that is for USA Weather
[Q] How do I get the USA Weather Widget to load?
A. Open up the app first and add your city
[Q] Why does the USA Weather App has displaced sides?
A. Because it wasn't made for HD Screens. And no I won't and can't fix it. Don't use it if you don't like it; uninstall it.
[Q] Why does the Download Manager keep yelling at me whenever I try to download things?
A. Because Xiaomi was stupid and made a stupid prompt that is broken on a ton of variants of MIUI. To fix it (semi), open the app called Downloads (under Tools folder), then tap menu, then settings, then change the File Size Limit from 1M to 10M and then slide the "data download prompt" slider off.
[Q] Why doesn't my NFC work?
A. It should. If it doesn't then you must have been living under a rock for the past half a year because all it takes to fix it was to be on TouchWiz Jellybean and toggle it.
[Q] What do I chose for the ViperAudio MOD Application for my board / CPU / phone type?
A. Cortex A8
[Q] Why doesn't the camera icon theme in all/every theme?
A. I don't know, it's up to the app itself to theme and since it's not something like MI-Cam.apk it probably doesn't meet the parameters of the theme. Some themes may have a parameter that just is along the lines of "theme-all-camera-related-apks"
[Q] Why is my device ID a "Galaxy Nexus" in the About Device / Phone and in the Play Store?
A. Make sure that you Restore the Build.Prop in the Wallet Installer App if you installed Google Wallet
[Q] Why is the GPS not locking on fast or accurately?
A. If it still does not seem to like your device, get PimpMyROM off of the Google PlayStore and manually set your GPS.cfg file using the App and reprovision it to your region.
[Q] Why doesn't my screen turn on right away after hitting the power button?
A. You either undervolted or underclocked the phone too low or your theme is causing the system to hold up and wait on the theme to load it's lockscreen.
[Q] Why doesn't my camera work?
A. You need to download and install the I535VRBMB1 Firmware. Get it from Invisiblek off his website here.
[Q] Why doesn't In-Call Recording work?
A. It is region locked. It is illegal in many places so I had to disable it.

Meaning there's still some small issues. If you ran my nightly kangs, it's near there network-performance wise.

It's an easy fix. I'll implement it later. I forgot about it. I'm assuming you guys want this one to finish uploading yes? Haha.
Awesome! Will this get any updates eventually, or is it just to fix what was wrong with the previous MIUI builds and bring up to DD level?
Will this be nightly?

This will get updates. I can promise that. We're a little bit behind on a September build for now as it's the most Stable, but eventually (and hopefully) we can move on up.

Not nightly. I can't guarantee that much commitment right now; I've got finals soon. Maybe once Christmas Break comes! ^_^

Build 1 is up:

Please don't touch the Mobile Network settings for now. They are notorious for breaking **** on MIUI. Fix among the works.
Add me on Google+ for updates on releases before they even come out here!
Thank you.
Glad this is happening. You're saying the Beta1 from Beans is still more stable though?

No, I'm not; I'm saying that Build 4 + my fixes and other stuff is by far the most stable. I haven't even ran Build 1.
Once this get's 100%'d, then I'll rebase and move up. The new updates from MIUI don't have many feature upgrades; they're mainly just patches and "optimizations" and plans to add features.

I'm counting 4 times you've said that so far. Let's see how many people post complaining that their phone is imploding because they decided not to read before flashing.

Wanna test it out for me?
Looks like Omni source for both devices is pretty much the same. They share the same kernel. If you want to try it out and it doesn't work for 3g you can shoot me some logs and I can figure out how to get the RIL working. I imagine it wouldn't be much.

not working with LTE. what logs do you need?
1st screenshot is this ROM, 2nd is Grogg88's AOSP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/development-lte/rom-t3023427) where LTE is working. he's got his Git linked, if that will help?

I see in the omni source that there are 2 different device trees for the deb and flo. Looks like we will have to build the deb from source except there is one problem. Nobody has updated the Deb for 5.0 yet. It has not seen omni updates since June 2014

THESE APPS ARE FOR ANDROID 5.X, if you need the CyanogenMod 11S Apps for Android 4.X, take a look HERE!I have stopped working on it and now it is a part of UTOPIA's Mod Project.
Official COS Apps released by the cm team. So maybe I will stop this project.
Description:
Have you ever seen the Cyanogen OS 12 Apps or the CyanogenMod 11S Apps and thought: "Hey, they look quite nice, but why are they only for OnePlus One and Alcatel phones?". Now you don't have to think about this anymore. Just download my zip file and flash it in your recovery. You can choose between a full, medium and small package, read more below. This will remove all unneccessary pre installed Apps in CyanogenMod or other AOSP Roms and install all the Cyanogen OS Apps on your phone. You can also read which Apps will be installed and which one will be deleted. And the official Cyanogen OS 12 OnePlus bootanimation is also here.
I will try to keep the apps up-to-date, so check back later here for new Cyanogen OS Apps or updated Cyanogen OS Apps.
This zip should work on any AOSP based Rom like CM, omni and more, please read more at "How to install" and "Q&A"!!!
Features:
Choose between a full and aroma package
All Cyanogen OS 12 Apps:
- Cyanogen OS Per App Themer
- Boxer Email App
- CameraNext
- CMFileManager
- CMWallpapers
- GalleryNext
- Hexo Theme from CyanogenOS 12 (activate it in the CM Theme Engine on your phone)
- LockClock
- MaxxAudioFX
- NextBit
- Truecaller (incoming in CyanogenOS 12.1, but I have it alreay here)
- Screencast
- CM Theme Showcase
- Sound Recorder
- Terminal
- Theme Store
- Trebuchet Launcher
- Google Conenctivity Services
- Ambient Core (Cyanogen OS 12 Account Manager - important, dont delete it!)
- Android For Work
- Eleven Music App
- Face Lock
- Media Provider
- Theme Chooser
and some more you will find in Changelog etc
You can get the Quick Boot feature from OnePlus One (COS12) HERE
Bugs:
SEE THIRD POST!
To-Do List:
- Making an Aroma Flashable zip
- Searching libs for Theme App (would need files from a rooted OnePlus One) to get it working
- fix COS Per App Themer
Differences between the package[OLD!]:
Small package: For users with low System storage (like the Galaxy S2 or older)
Medium package: For users with more System storage (like the Galaxy S3 or newer)
Full package: For users who want to taste all COS 12 Apps
Full contains also Android for Work!
Small,Medium and Full contain also YU COS12 Theme
How to install:
These Apps will only work without problems on CM (based) Roms, like CyanogenMod, BlissPop, Ressurrection, Nameless, etc [it should also work on AOKP, Pac Man, Omni, but these will cause Bugs , maybe more, but I haven't tested more so far]. It maybe won't work on any Rom like Sense (HTC), TouchWiz (Samsung) and more correctly and could cause problems like force clauses and more. If you are flashing the App zip on a non AOSP based Rom, my zip won't remove any apps on your phone, which could cause problems, use on your own risk!
Download the zip file below, go to your recovery, press install, pick the downloaded zip and flash it.
NOTE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO FLASH THE ZIP AGAIN AFTER AN AOSP ROM UPDATE ON SOME ROMS!
IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS (read before flashing):
Following Apps will be deinstalled from your device:
- Gallery2
- CMWallpapers (new one will be installed!)
- Camera2
- CMFileManager (new one will be installed!)
- Email
- Terminal (new one will be installed!)
- Sound Recorder (new one will be installed!)
- Trebuchet (new one will be installed!)
- Audio FX
- CM Account Manager
Aroma Version will always install the following apps:
- COS Account Manager
- Trebuchet
- Terminal
- Sound Recorder
- CMWallpapers
- CMFileManager

Q&A:
Q: Will this Rom work on AOSP Stock Roms like Nexus or Motorola one?
A: Maybe, but I wont give support for this. My zip can and will cause problems on Stock Roms!
Q: I am having problems on a non CM based Rom.
A: Non CM based roms will cause bugs! I cant keep an eye on every rom, so maybe I am unable to fix it!
Q: I am using CM as my secondary Rom, can I flash this zip?
A: NO! This won't work!
Q: Will it work on Android 4.4? or older?
A: It should work on Android 4.4, but there will be bugs maybe. On even older Android versions there will be more and more problems! Use it on your own, and don't be to shy to tell me if it worked!
Please take a look here for more informations (discontinued!)
Q: Where is the per app themer?
A: It is in your rom now, search for it, but keep in mind, it is force closing on many devices at the moment.
...
Looks good. Ty
awesome!
Download is now availeble, I hope for feedback if flashing is working (as I have made the zip by myself) and which apps are working.
Error while flashing: unmount() expects 1 arg, got 4.
Nevermind.

New build is coming. Please try again, it worked for me on my S3 with BlissPop.
EDIT: New build is live
Trying on my Nexus5. It boots and it works fine. There aren't any problems, at least for now.
Trebuchet got reset, but no other problems.
EDIT: VividROM/CM12.1
Every thing working f9 only themes not opening ........
@FaserF
Check out my flashable zip for CameraNext HERE. I have included the required lib for panorama and it works perfectly.
You can use it (just a kind credits mention/shoutout would be nice)
Note that this is probably an older version of the camera, but it should work. If it doesn't, try and find the same lib in your COS 12 system partition.
PS. Congrats on getting featured on the portal!

I will definitely take a look.
Possible to make the same with newest version of the camera?
And thank you for your work!
EDIT: are the lib files specific for the old version of camera next or would they also work with the new version of the app?

It might already BE the latest version of CameraNext, I dunno whether COS 12 has an updated version. My version is 2.0.004 I think.
Even if it's updated, this lib should probably work. Try replacing it in /system/lib and set permissions to rw-r--r--.
If it doesn't work, then you'll have to extract the newer lib (should have the same name) from a COS 12 system.

Mine is only V 2.0.002
I will implement your camera next app in my next update.
Thank you very much!
It would be nice if you made an aroma installer. I would like to flash only some of this apps...
Waiting patiently for Stable beta 2.0
awesome, that's exactly what I need

I am already thinking about this, but I only know how to write a flashable zip, it is harder to implement these Apps in Aroma Installer as I thought. I will defenitely make on, but not in this Month, sorry.
