Thanks a lot for the reply.
I tried but nothing happening..its not detecting as usb to change port to 41.
Is there any other way?? Also for flashing when i insert battery and press volume up and then connect it starts and shows LG logo and goes blank.
It is not showing in PORT in device manager when connected pressing volume + button
Does the phone go to download mode ("S/W upgrade mode ) ?? By insert the battery while you hold vol+ ??
You will see two arrows like the sync symbol in your phone screen . And then the phone will still connected with the PC .
Your problem is easy to fix . Just try to enter download mode . And every thing will be fine .
Good Luck

You hardbricked your phone if it doesn't go into download mode.
But no panic there is always a solution;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836
Follow the guide above. (and I mean every step , however small they may seem)
ICS roms are now pre-rooted so you don't have to root.
Flash Xbsall's Ported custom ics (The one in the guide.)
Then install wkpark's recovery img. (Found here ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978543)
Boot into recovery.
Install Darkroom ICS Int. (It's the best in my opinion) or whatever rom you wish.
They are all pre-rooted.
If you can't i'll guide you through it.
Hope i Helped.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the help and i really appreciate your willingness to take me out of this trouble, Thanks again
Everything worked fine till step 9..But still not showing anything in Ports
Make sure the drivers are correctly installed. Especially omap4430...
Start the script that has been referred to in the guide.
Shut down the phone , remove the battery , plug usb cable and when you see "waiting for 5 seconds" plug in the battery. That should work.
Keep me posted.

That may mean you have a bad cable.
But if you restored it , it's probably sometimes bad or you changed it or you used the front panel which is a hub (divides bandwidth , slows flashing process) and it's bad for ya.
Since my real name is turkish and hard to spell i'll give one better ;
Call me John.
If you must know my real name is "Dogukan".
And yes i can help you with that although it's relatively easy now that you got a hold of it.
Thanks a lot Dogukan..
Are you into android development? Am a real noob in this and you helped me coming out of really difficult situation.
Now i want to root my phone and everytime its showing 'error no device find'
I'm not into android development... my skills lie in networking so there is not much i can do for android.
But those are common knowledge...
I bricked my phone several times to learn those.
You don't need to root. Follow wkpark's recovery installation and flash a custom rom (Darkroom int is great)

I have tried several things mentioned on this forum but to know avail. My LG Optimus 3d P920 isnt coming up after i flashed the rom. When i connect to the system on window 7, it shows omap under unknown driver and withing 2secs disappears again. using one of the methods mentioned here, i was able to install the omap driver but each time i connect the phone, it connects and then disconnect instantly. When i tried it on window xp, i got the same error. I can boot into recovery. The phone is not switching ON atall for me to even consider goin to recovery. Sometimes when am on window xp and i press the recovery button with the battery in (vol- plus Power +3d button) it connects and then instantly disconnects again. Please help with a step by step process as am stumped. Am sure i should be able to get it up. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks a bunch for your reply, the sad thing is both explanation arent clear enough. Am sorry to bother you but can i get like an idiot guide as both links especially the one with ics isnt really clear enough and the downgrade isnt helping either. downloaded their files yetdont know hw or what to do with em. Please help
Preferrably i will like a guide with downgrading. The links sent has no step by step method,it naturally assumes that one will know what to do with what file. Waiting for ur response.
Thanks again

I have tried the method you explained step by step bt i got stuckedd on step 13
"Step 13. Run Steps 3-9 again and you will see your phone being flashed from LG FlashTool.
It will be stopped at 26-30% because phone will turn off on its own BUT the next time you try to enter NORMAL DOWNLOAD MODE it will be available again."
When i do what step 12 says, instead of my LG flash tool flashin my fone, the screeen just stay stuck on the download mode with the korean message on it. Dont know how to move ahead. Thanks for your reply, please help me move past this level. In addition, instead of LGE mobile USB serial port, what i have is LGE CDMA USB serial port.

Thanks a bunch, i have finally gotten a lil hang of it. The problem now is each time i flash with LG flash tool, once it gets to 82%, the part where the flashtool reads target resetting , my fone disconnects and the LG flashtool brings out this error error_wm_progress_msg and some others. I have tried this 3times now and the error remains the same. When i power the phone, it goes in to clockwod mode and when i try to mount usb, it doesnt do. Even when i try to restore the backup i have, it says md5 error. Waiting for your reply

That s mean your phone is successfully done flashing , with me it never come to 100% it always on 82% its finish, just reboot your phone and wait for it to start on , and you are good to go, now go to recovery and format, or wipe cache and data and reboot at first time it says that you don't have enough memory left just go to privacy and reset the phone and format everything . and i think everything will be good after that. good luck.
Thanks

The truth is your phone can not be break just with flashing, it will brick though, unless your hardware is damaged, then you are think to buy new phone.
well about the JellyBam, while you are on GB now, root your phone and install Rom manager flash Bernie's file and you're out of the rebooting. the Barnie's files is the key of JellyBam or other CM10 to work. good luck.
Thanks

because if not you will not have the network signal again and it will keep rebooting.
but if i could suggest you Just suggestion . you to flash ICS first to see how is it. i love CM10 too and smoothness of it you can't resist, but it has lotta bugs for now so to avoid all that you should starting using the ICS ported by Xbsall, it work very fine.

No one rom with ICS can solve this problem,so accept it xD
Hi,
I tried to restore my IMEI and official ICS versions using the official LG Tools, but at about 97% the phone restarted and now it only shows the LG logo for 1 sec then it shuts down. I can't charge it, the computer doens't read the OMAP drivers...it is blinking in the device manager and that's all. I have followed the guides from the Unbrick section but no work.
Please help me..I really need to revive the darn brick
Thanks.
You have to force the driver to link as in part 1.f.4.1 to 1.f.4.5 here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
Then proceed with the unbricking or imei recover.

Run a cmd as an admin and type :" SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 " and press enter, then type :" devmgmt.msc " and press enter. Choose View, Show Hidden Devices, you will see your device
It doesn't need to stay there. Catch it in other devices. Point omap4430 to the driver file and force install it as described. Let it install a minute. Disconnect phone and reconnect. Then after a bit it should stay connected but under TI boards this time. Then you can do resurrection or whatever else. Depending on what you are doing you might also need the LG drivers but check whatever tutorial you are following.
Or you can run the command Karim described to stop the blinking. But you will still need to link the driver whether omap4430 is blinking or not.

It doesn't stay connected even under TI Boards, even if I install the drivers as in that tutorial. It just blinking and blinking over and over again, and the sound that windows is making when connecting and disconnecting a USB device. I can't enter any other mode the only way the PC sees it "alive" is with the "Volume and plug-in" thing. If I try to make it start under with other methods it is just showing the LG logo for about 1 sec and then it powers down. Is it really, but really dead ?
It's not dead. You have bootloop. Once you fix that then you can fix imei, if that is really the problem. Probably you mistakenly flashed a bootloader incompatible with the kernel you have.
Download the bag of goodies in link section. Then start at beginning of step 1. Be sure to read everything carefully. Once you have step 1 done correctly you can continue with flashing the .bin with LG Flash Tool.
Since I don't know what you did exactly, I don't know what exactly to do to fix the problem. But, one way is to flash ICS again. If you are not familiar with fastboot and bootloaders, I would suggest that. Using Fastboot requires some understanding of what the problem is. Since I gather you don't know, reflashing is one way to get the phone running.
After that, if your imei is not fixed in the process, then that can be done later.

How I bricked my O3D. Simple.. using the f**kin LG Official Update Software >.<' . I let it run and at about 98% the phone restarted and never gone up again. I don't care if I loose all the crap inside my phone, since I got really nothing on it. Just a few games. I just want to make it run again..
So, I've connected my phone with my USB cable while pressing Volume+. OMAP4430 appears only as a TI Board and flashing all the way until I disconnect my phone. When I install the OMAP drives as in that guide, it gives me an error that it can't install it (or in most cases no error) and the blinking thingy is still there. Do I need to use a modified USB cable to do this ? Like P999 910k ? I am really noob, since I bought my phone yesterday from a friend, and tried to restore it's IMEI by flashing the phone again. Yes, I know, I`m dumb xD
If it is a sync cable you should be fine with that.
If omap4430 is blinking you missed something. Driver install can be tricky if you have not done it before. Hell, it's tricky if you have done it.
Just take your time with that, read carefully, don't miss anything, and be sure all things like Defender, antivirus, etc are disabled before downloading, unzipping, unraring and all that.
Once that's done you'll be set up to flash or anything else.
I can't speak to LG Update Tool because I don't use it.

I finally managed to make the omap4430 work, i reinstalled a new firmware , the v30a one using emergency mode, the phone is starting up but it's freezing. Why ? Is there any difference between v30A and B or v28 ones ? Is there any chance for v28 to work ? Because the update takes up to 6hrs >.<

I only managed to find the v30A on the internet.

Q3: That firmware you have specified is Gingerbread, right ? I heared there are some problems when upgrading to ics from gb. V21e solve them all ?

Here is the link http://d-h.st/RC5 .
Bootv28 is probably the leaked beta version of ICS.
Based on what I experienced, after flashing bootv21e, I never had any problem upgrading to ics.
Good Luck !

Hi,
I tried to restore my IMEI and official ICS versions using the official LG Tools, but at about 97% the phone restarted and now it only shows the LG logo for 1 sec then it shuts down. I can't charge it, the computer doens't read the OMAP drivers...it is blinking in the device manager and that's all. I have followed the guides from the Unbrick section but no work.
Please help me..I really need to revive the darn brick

I think that resistor mod is for making a sync cable from a cheap charge cable, but I am not sure (the post first I saw about that was in a language I can't read, so I don't know why that was started). My generic sync cable works fine, so it should be OK.

I heared that if you're not using the 910k resistor on that cable, you won't be able to flash it without errors, or something... That also said a guy from a authorised-service in my town. He said that he needs to modify a USB cable in order to flash it. He flashed it finally with the v30a fw, but the phone is freezing after startup. Maybe I could help him somehow to repair my phone. Tomorrow I`ll go again to the service to see if he managed to get the phone working using v28 or v21. The updates takes a serios ammount of time. The last update to v30a took him about 5hrs...
very hard brick. when the "resurrection guide" does not work anymore. what do you do?
the "resurrection guide" has always worked for me. :good:
but this time I can not flash the bootloader. it tells me error:
"USB_READ GOOT: 0, EXPECTED: 4, ERRNO: 121" that is repeated endlessly. see video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke19sY0nQ2c. :crying:
display always off; no logo LG; no vibration. cable is ok (work on another phone p920). PC is ok. battery is ok.
there are alternatives to resurrect my p920?
pls use the lasted version of omap boot and try a other usb port

Then it's probably an incomplete flash from incorrect driver install or possibly a corrupt .bin. Try this, take your time and read carefully and thoroughly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
If you are on Windows 8, check the tips for that especially. The tutorial is for XBSA roms but the part for Flash Tool is the same.
If it won't work, then you might need to look at xbsall's resurrection guide.
Flashing the bootloaders in fastboot won't do the trick, as you have corrupted system, etc. from incomplete flash

It doesn't matter if you are a beginner. The driver install steps are the same. Once that is done correctly you can use fastboot or flash tool or whatever you want. I am simply suggesting what has worked for me. One way to get out of bootloop is to reflash. Another is to flash the correct bootloader.
Either way, if omap is blinking then the drivers are not installed correctly.
You may also need the LG drivers. That is why I say to start at the beginning.
you can sive it ifyou can enter download mod use lg support tool

My pc motherboard fried few days ago and[for things to be even worse] my android system was getting very unstable so I wanted to replace it and I did it in the same time as my mobo got fried..
Noooo....
So when I erased system in my twrp, the twrp became unresponsive and laggy, I couldnt do anything with it.
So now I said:"No prob I'll just reflash twrp and bootloaders with OS_Hackings tool..."
It wouldn't be the problem on my old WIN7 PC but now I didn't have it anymore so I had to use my old XP rig.Now we come to the problem, I get the exact same usb error(mine was 31 not 121 but the problems are related to drivers probably). So I installed OMAP4430 like always and when I start OS_Hackings tool it doesn't recognize the phone after "waiting 5sec"..I must say that I've done this many many many times before(on WIN7) but i couldn't get it to work on WIN XP no mater what I did.
In the end I updated to official v30A via offline kdz updater and flashed twrp and ics bootloaders with Xbsalls "rebooter".
Making rebooter work was pure luck because of that not-getting-into-fastboot problem but after 20tries it worked somehow..
Drivers are my bet and I really hate XP.XD
And yes, I used the same cable and battery on win7 and xp...
Edit:I forgot to say that when it says "waiting for 5sec" and I insert the battery, instead of phone getting into fastboot(grey logo and fastboot v.05 on displey) it just illuminates the four soft keys on the phone and gives me an error "USB_READ GOOT: 0, EXPECTED: 4, ERRNO: 31" on the PC.
If anyone knows what is the cause(and/or the solution) for this please tell us, I'll be very grateful.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
If you wiped system in twrp and did not install a system or a rom with a system at that time, the phone can't boot because there is no system. You'd need to flash a .bin or .kdz.
Not sure if that's what you meant.
Just try after clearing or Resetting COM port. :good:
It may work sometimes...
Try this, i have also experience that on my phone, I thought that it's dead but good thing I unbrick it.
try to re-install all drivers and hardware in device manager. i.e. uninstall - reboot - reinstall
make sure your usb cable is good, the usb port of phone is good, the usb port of computer is good.
if you can't go to download mode, try the WKPARTS omap4boot and the tutorial made by xbsall. (credits to them)
It's not a very hard brick, its 1.25 fastboot that do this sometimes.
I have had this too, just use the earlier 1.16 or 1.11 bootloaders, it should work.

Flashing ics the .bin .fls
Check your xda messages. I sent you a PM.
I am not sure what all you did, but if factory hard reset does not fix your issue, you can usually flash a firmware to bring back your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
It could be you just need to flash just a bootloader, but like I say, I am not sure what you did.
EDIT: since you can access twrp, it would be easier to install ICS by installing .zip files from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39130435
Do 1-3... install ICS as in #2 there and boot125 as in step 3, then reboot phone (you will need to copy the files to a micro sd by plugging one into a pc by an adapter). That is one way that would be 'easier' than setting up LG Flash Tool. If TWRP cannot find your external micro sd, you may need to proceed as I mention above.

I suspect drivers are not installed correctly. Check part 1 very carefully.
You must install the .bin of v28B first by Flash Tool. That will install the OS. If and when you then decide to install an xbsa rom from TWRP, v8 changes it to v30A. vR3D is v30C (that one requires the large partition v28B).
Factory reset should not have done this to your phone

Are you on Windows 7?
I would more than video like to see a screen shot of the drivers in your pc Device Manager (when phone is connected to pc by usb, you hold volume up on phone when you plug it in).
There should be 'omap 4430' in 'other devices' in pc Device Manager. If correctly installed, it should NOT be flashing/blinking on and off. You must use the driver from the wkpark Fastboot package, not the one from the 'omap4flash installer' pack.
There are also two LG drivers that must be installed to pc. And there should be LG Cosmo device appearing in Device Manager someplace also, port set to 41.
I ask because driver install can be tricky or difficult, and confusing when you first do all of that. And, it is very important to have it all correct to flash successfully. Usually it is the problem when flash will not complete or start.
It also adds to difficulty that you must translate the instructions...
just one driver

You must be logged on to pc as administrator. Use Windows 7, much easier. I have Win 7 x64.
Read all details carefully. Run everything as admin. ALL antivirus off. You must remove all old LG things from pc before beginning. Reboot pc. Install omap4flash. Restart pc. Install the two provided LG drivers. One of these you must force install. Restart pc.
Connect phone, vol. up to pc (no battery in phone, all of part 1). Link omap driver from Fastboot folder as described. Wait a bit for it to complete. When done here omap4430 will stop blinking.
Disconnect phone from pc. Connect it again, volume up, and LG drivers will install. Wait for it to process and finish. Change port to 41.
If LG drivers do not install when connecting phone the second time, try running omap4flash installer and UNinstall it. Reboot pc. Then try the above again.
Some things, like wkpark bootloader conflict with omap4flash (this is mentioned in the guide) so you may need to try it both ways.

You can use xbsall's guide if you want, but the driver install process is the same.
Karim Kahale has an unbrick guide that uses Smartflash instead. You might find it easier, I do not know. It should be in O3D General section. Just do not "Erase Entire CP" or you will have to recover your IMEI.
Whatever you choose, I would stick with one method and see it through to completion. Trying too many things may just make the problem worse.

Thank you so much i Fixed my cellphone !!
but now I have another problem, and is the reason why I did the factory reset is that I have ghost screen and someone told that if I do a factory reset I could solve it. oh and I cant use the camera.
Never had the screen issue so not sure. Camera should be working. Mine does. Use the button on touch screen to take a picture, I think 3D button has a bug in official ICS so it will not take a photo that way. Not sure, I always use touch screen button for that. Or maybe try rebooting phone a couple of times. It is possible I suppose that flash was incomplete or corrupt from incorrect driver install. If you are sure that is all good you might try redownloading the .bin file and flashing again. Beyond that, not sure. Maybe someone else knows???
