I have a tablet wich runs only one app for light control in my house.
The tablet is fixed on the wall.
I want to turn the screen off after some seconds.
When i touch the screen it has to switch on.
Tried a screensaver but it doesnt really turns the screen black.
Still light coming off.
Is it possible to do ?
It runs Android 4.1.1

I have a motorola Q9, but he previously had a Qtek S200 and a HTC X7500, and the operation was similar in the next related aspect.
The fact is I set the backlight to be shut down after 15 seconds, and that turns off the screen after a minute.
Well, after 15 seconds the backlight low intensity, but fails to shut down altogether.
After a minute, the screen was set off correctly.
It is possible to force the light goes out completely before it turns off the screen?

not sure about motorola but
on htc devices it works like this
after the first timeout it turn off the backlight of the screen and then it dont use much power really
after the second timeout it turn off the device not just the screen
has anyone elses keyboard kind of flickered after it turns on?
i have it set to use light sensor
and i installed g light for screen backlight
but even with it turned off the keyboard flickers and it just started yesterday ive had it for almost 2 months just hoping its not dying or something
nevermind. this time wen i had it off it fixed it
but did other people have issues with g light causing this?
how about do people have issues when the phone goes into standby of the front buttons staying lit or the keyboard?

I haven't had the keyboard flicker or light stay on, but my front Dpad lights did stay on occasionally until I hard reset.
This is really weird, my NS just always lights up the screen after I lock the screen.
I locked screen, the screen went black, then after a few seconds the screen turned on just like I pressed the power button.
Why this kind of thing happens? I have reboot my phone, It still the same.
Maybe its normal but I have smart stay on so if i am looking at the screen it dims but doesn't turn off. This happens even with auto brightness, power saving and auto adjust screen tone turned off. the browser also has auto brightness turned off. the only thing i can think is maybe there is a conflict with quick settings which also has auto brightness turned off. if i am not looking nat eh screen it dims and in a few seconds shuts off.

Same here. I even start blinking and moving my eyes to see if it will stay on. I know I've got to look like an idiot.
Currently not being productive on my S3.
I have been playing with smart stay as well, but I haven't seen that it keeps the screen on any longer ... maybe I just haven't had enough patience.
smart stay does keep my screen on but it does not prevent the screen from dimming. I think the phone automatically dims right before its about to shut off even if i have all dimming settings turned off. right before it shuts off smart stay keeps it on but only after the screen dims thus i am stuck with a dim screen.
Tablet functions as expected after power-on by presenting lock screen and as expected after unlocked. However, once the screen times-out and turns to black, it will not turn on again no mater what swipe or button is pushed unless the unit is powered off then on again.
Flash stock firmware and test .

same, phone works fine but lock screen wont work after it locks itself, power button works but phone screen wont light up, responsive but no light up.
Same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution yet?
As posted flash stock firmware.
Fails its hardware.
