[Q] Titanium Backup Licence File not recognized - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys. My Titanium Backup licence file (txt) was not recognized on the sdcard. I tried almost everything. Uninstalled, reinstalled and so on. I also placed the file in the mnt/sdcard folder what didn't help.I owned serveral devices and never had a single problem. There must be something nexus specific?

Having same issue on moto x 2014. Keep a copy on my computer and that's not working either.

If you haven't already tried, try copying the license file to /data/media/legacy/ then close and restart Titanium Backup,

Transfer Titanium backups to new phone?

I am getting a new phone tomorrow. Can I make backups of my apps with titanium and then just transfer the backups to my new phone, reinstall titanium and restore? I'd like to think it's a simple yes.

Yes.
Use TI to make the backups, copy the backup folder to the new phone (its super easy if they both have microSD),then reinstall TI and restore apps. Be careful with system apps as they probably will not work on the new phone unless it is the same model.
Bumping this thread because I want to be exactly sure.
I want to transfer my Ti backup of all my downloaded users apps & data from my current Nexus 7 to the new one I just purchased.
So if I go to File Explorer and go to my main SDcard directory :
/storage/emulated/0/
And scroll down until I see the folder labelled
TitaniumBackup
Copy the entire folder to USB drive and then copy that entire folder over to the SDcard storage in the new tablet
Once I reinstall amd start upTi backup, it should automatically recognize my apps backup from the TitaniumBackup folder, right?

Sideloading help.

I recently used the Nook Developers guide to sideload apps onto my Nook Hd, And all went well, but when I installed Injustice, I get ''failed to load you may have not installed this app'' or something along those line, could anyone help me fix this problem.
Have you moved the application data to your sdcard?
To install this game you need the apk + the data. After downloading the data it will be in a folder named om.wb.goog.injustice i think. Copy this folder to /Android/obb/ (on your sdcard) and then run the game
It should work fine after that
Please press the thanks button if i helped!

Well I installed using command prompt as it is the easiest way to sideload on the nook HD without rooting the device, I tried locating the file you said but I can not find it.
The files don't come with the APK file. You sideloaded the APK using ADB. You need to copy paste the data to your device which is over 1 GB I think. It's a separate file. Ughh you're making it sound harder than it is. It's extremely easy. Plus there are tens of easier ways to install apps on your nook.

Ok and were might I find this file which is over 1 GB? and I thought this was the essayist way to donwload incompatible games to the nook HD, All help is appreciated btw
Feel free to click the thanks button. Lol
Just use Google to find data for your apk.. Search "injustice apk + data" and you'll find many results.
One of the ways to install Apps is installing another store on your device other than Google Play Store.
Or if you want to sideload apps easily without command prompt you can use APK Batch Installer.. Or use apkinstaller.

The most common error for sideloading is the resolution or graphic chip incompatible errors. Sideloading app data should not be the problem, try to download a fresh apk from the market and copy Data
It should work fine

so I downloaded the apk+data file for injustice and took the data file and put it in the android/obb directory on my device (I don't have a sd card if a sd card is required please tell me) and I still got the error message, so I decided to turn airplane mode on and the game started up and I got the opening cutscene then it loaded and booted back to my home menu, should I have used the apk that came with the data file or will any injustice apk work?

Hmm... I don't really know.. Maybe your tablet is just not powerful enough to run the game. That's probably why it closes

[Q] ADB restore ends prematurely on Android L

Hi, I'm using a google play store Nexus 5, and trying to restore a ADB backup (.ab file, not pulled files) and for some reason it keeps saying 'restoration ended' on my phone while the computer continues to send data. Anyway I can force it to continue/ restore the .ab from recovery?
Thanks very much for your help, I've searched the forums but could find little on the matter.
Because "L" isn't meant for daily use and is full of bugs...

Thought as much, well, there was nothing really too important on the backup anyway. Cheers for the quick reply!

I've had issues restoring .ab file backup on my nexus 5. However it works flawlessly without the ".ab" i.e naming my backup as say "backup" works where naming it "backup.ab" fails.

When a file is deleted, it is moved to a sector on the storage device. If you are lucky, you can use software on a PC to recover the files.

My Mobile might be hacked

Hey,
Somehow, my copied text data is being written down to .TXT files in my folder. Also I think my clipboard stores previous copies as well.
How to identify which program is doing it and why??

I had this happen to me before but i dont know how to fix it i just got scared and reset my phone
If i was you i would backup data w/titanium backup or custom recovery (only the apps you need because one of them is the spyware or virus) and your photos to pc or sd card and reset your phone to factory and restore the backups makesure the backups are not on the phone when you reset and done you will have got rid of the spyware
You may not want to reset your phone just look for apps that use root and the ones in your in assasibility or admkn apps
Sorry kf this did not help:thumbup:
