colordict - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

colordict opens fine but crashes upon looking up a word.
can anyone confirm this?
works fine on my tf300t running android 4.2.1

Confirmed. Note 3 kitkat.

Thanks for digging this old thread from November. As a suggestion, I found Fora Dictionary to be an excellent alternative with even more features than ColorDict.

video sites that don't work

Hi there,
so have the latest update from VS and downloaded and installed the flash beta from the VS website - i can watch video from Youtube and it looks good, but no Fancast or NBC - a function of flash beta or something else? what is everyone else finding?
running stock but rooted
Happy Holidays
jt
G Tablet: Vegan beta 4 ROM
Where to start?
failblog.org
megaupload videos. This may be because of my internet speed though as it doesn't load fast enough.
I will try to edit this list with sites I know where flash does not work properly.
Other flash like chatango works but it turns ghosts(3D like or blurry).
Fancast used to work for me but after TnT upgrade is not working anymore.
It's been hit or miss with me on Fancast. It seems like the older episodes (say from last year) work fine, but the newer ones don't. That's the only pattern that I have seen to date.

"Breaking News" HuluPlus.apk Has Been Successfully Modded By Vgeezy

Hello All, I am Vgeezy....
As the title states, I have modded the huluplus.apk to work on any android device. It does not, I repeat does not require root!! YAY!!! No it does not give you free access to hulu plus, you still have to get a paid subscription to view the paid content. But if you don't have paid subscription, you can still view the free gallery. Enough talking I hope you enjoy this. Here's my video proof that it does work:
IF YOU HAVE AN AD BLOCKER ON YOUR DEVICE, THE HULU APP WILL JUST BUFFER OR FC. DISABLE YOUR AD BLOCKER WHILE USING THIS APP. IT'S BLOCKING THE ADS HULU BROADCAST, SO IT WILL NOT PLAY.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DEVICE.

Mod HuluPlus.apk Video
ModHuluplus.apk
Landscape Mod Huluplus.apk
Confirming working on Motorola Xoom and Photon.
Confirmed working on Galaxy Nexus (LTE), Asus Transformer TF101.
NOT Working on Logitech Revue - I think this has to do with GTV being stuck in Landscape mode 100% of the time. The splash page of Hulu+ forces whichever device into Portait orientation but since GTV doesn't have it, it gives me an error about it, and press any key to exit.
I wonder if there are any tricks around this. Any possibility that the app can be forced to attempt to display the splash and video selection pages in landscape when a device lacks portrait orientation?
Either way, great work.
Ask and Ye shall receive. I posted the landscape mod in my first post.
So... landscape devices should use the landscape one?
EDIT: Using landscape version, works great on Xoom LTE.
Confirmed working on the MY Touch 4G (Official MIUI TDJ Release), Installed in seconds with no errors.
I don't use Sense or CM7 so I'm not sure about those ROMs but if it worked on MIUI it should work on the rest. Good work man, looks great.
Working on og Droid. Can't thank you enough for this.
No go on the Sony NSZ-GT1 for either apk. Haven't tried it on my MT4G or my girlfriend's Desire HD yet.
Works flawlessly on Archos 101 G9.
Thank you very much.

Thanks! It again installed just fine and this time the HULU Plus screen begins to load but it Force Stops with no warning. May try re-installing again after a reboot.
Seems to be working in landscape on my Transformer Prime with dock. I am having some connectivity issues, but who knows what that's about...
Edit: The connection issue seemed to be caused by AdAway. I disabled ad blocking, rebooted, and all is well. Can anyone confirm that ad blocking makes this not work, and are there any work arounds? I'm happy with it working at all, truth be know!
works great on HTC HD2 official miui...thank you!
I'd love to get this to work, but sometimes it won't stop buffering on the Acer A100 tablet and eventually gives you an error to check your internet connection. Some shows seem to start up fine though.

Ad blocking software? I had to disable blocking on AdAway in order to get it to work?

Same here for the NSZ-GT1. Shame, tried both versions.

Dang, that's what I was downloading them for! At least now I can view Hulu on the Galaxy Nexus and connect to my TV through MTP to HDMI.
Works flawlessly on Galaxy Nexus LTE verizon. Thanks
Hulu's app has always had issues with adblockers, even when I was using an officially supported device. Just remember to disable it before you watch.
This apk works great on my galaxy nexus. Thanks dev!
Hats off @blunttedsmurf, very nice job about to test in nook tablet, thanks

Works great on Viewsonic G Tablet running roebeets custom froyo rom Brilliant Corners 1.3.1.

Feedly crashes on ICS?

Was using a Note with GB and feedly (the news reader) ran fine, then after I upgraded to ICS Feedly just hangs at the first page of news. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the problem persists. Does anyone else face this problem?
Kind of know issue with ics. Feedlt is working on it.
It works with custom roms though
@Galaxy Note™…
Yep, I am encountering the same problem on an ICS Note

Flash on the Photon Q

Sorry if this has been solved before with ICS, but I'm stumped. I had a Moto Triumph before this. It had Gingerbread, and I installed CM7 onto it. Rooted, overclocked, the whole nine yards. I tried to install Flash from Play but it said it's not supported in my country (WTF, thanks, Adobe!) So I found an APK elsewhere and installed it. Bam! Flash works in Dolphin Browser. It's pretty slow, but it works.
Now, I did the same thing for my Photon Q and its preinstalled ICS. Any browser I try, including Opera Mini Next, Chrome, Firefox, Dolphin Browser and the default Android browser, I just get a blue cube icon where the flash object should be. I downloaded an app from Play that runs .SWF files and it displays the exact same blue cube.
Is there a workaround that anyone is aware of? If Adobe doesn't start supporting mobile devices, I think we'll be seeing Flash replaced before very long. By an open standard.
Officially Adobe has stopped supporting Flash via mobile going forward....but I believe you can still download/install the apk for whatever the last released version for each Android version via this link (you'll have to scroll down to where it lists 'Flash player for Android 4.0 archives' and grab the one at the top of that list in the case of the Q):
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#main_Archived_Flash_Player_versions_for_developers
And that worked perfectly. Plays nice and smooth, too. Thanks a ton!

You're quite welcome....its not often I'm in a position to be able to help someone rather than being one of the ones asking questions but I was prepared on that one, I read that elsewhere and bookmarked it in my Photon Q folder for later use myself when I get one. I almost did this past weekend but decided to hold off still for now....then when I read in one of the other threads that Roam Control isn't (at least currently) working on it, that's kind of a deal breaker for me until that's fixed. Forcing roaming while at work is just shy of an absolute must unfortunately. :/

[Q] Does Smart Keyboad Pro work?

I have purchased a few keyboards over the years, but always found issues w/ skins. After some extensive research, today I discovered Smart Keyboard and from what I had viewed on YT, this was the answer to my issues.
Much to my chagrin it doesn't seem to work... at least not on my LG Optimus G. This is a new device running JB 4.1 so I simply took for granted this would work. When I search for info on the web, I found a site dedicated to the keyboard... which as of December 29 2012 seems to have been abandoned.
I have 2 questions. 1) does anybody know how to get this to work? I have it set to run from settings but it simply will not activate. 2) If an app has been abandoned, why is it still an app that can be purchased?
Thanks
