It seemed to be working when I first got the phone. I don't know what happened, but now it won't show up with any player while music is playing.
Did I turn off a setting or something? Is there anything I can do to fix this? F.Y.I. I am complete stock (no custom recovery, unlocked bootloader, or root)

So, basically I am at a loss. I ususally spend enough time on problems like this until I solve them myself, but now I really need the help of others.
I rooted my Xperia X10i, installed some custom ROMs, everything went fine. The phone was still a bit buggy though, so I decided to go a step further.
So I unlocked the bootloader (using some threads from this forum), and had no issues with that either.
Then I installed the custom DoomKernel from here (the failsafe one!):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253853
It booted just fine, but I noticed I had no Wifi and my SIM card wasn't recognized. So I installed the Wifi modules that can be found in the same thread. I'm not sure which ROM I had on the phone at this point, since I tried many different ones.
The problem is now, that when trying to get the Wifi working, some time after a reboot the phone would ask my pin-code, and after that just gives a blue screen, instead of the usual home screen. I can slide my status bar down, and from there I can access some things, but not much. Basically I can only see that the phone does't seem to recognize my SIM card (even though it asked for the code?) and my wifi doesnt work either. Without a home screen I can't open my apps or anything.
I have since tried to install different ROMs. Again only the status bar works after a boot, besides that all I see is the standard background. Some ROMs can let me turn Flight Mode on from the status bar, and when I click it everyhting works again (except for any wifi or service, of course).
I have also tried to flash different kernels since, but nothing changed. So I used the SE PC Companion to get back to all the official SE 2.3.3 stuff. Still only the status bar works. I can still flash kernels and ROMs and boot into them succesfully, but I will always get a blank screen with just the status bar after tying my PIN code.
So... does anyone have a clue how to solve this issue? Any way to COMPLETELY restore all the phone's software, since updating or repairing using the PC Companion leaves the real problem untouched? Many thanks in advance!
Ok, resolved the issue. Apparently something went wrong while unlocking the bootloader. Restore it by clicking on "Restore" in the newest S1Tool (older versions don't have that button) and everything is solved. Just note that if you have a kernel running that requires an unlocked bootloader at the moment you restore the bootloader, obviously your device won't boot any more. Don't worry, just flash another kernel in that case.
Hello well i am using Vipers oneS since v1.0. I am very satisfied, however since the version 2.0.0 my phone does not vibrate anymore so I waited for the update but it still didn’t fix my vibration issue any help or anything I need to flash ?? I did screw up my phone once updating from 1.2.1 to 2.0.0 I deleted everything I did a boot loop I formated the phone somehow no recovery or operating system anymore I did have hboot still so that’s how I fixed it , since then I do not have any vibration on the phone what so ever.
Please help
Kevin
In Jelly Bean, the way the system handle vibration is changed. Each app now handle its own vibration settings so go into the app that you wish to vibrate and look in the notification section.
Hi there!
Iam having a strange problem with all sense roms viper 2.2, trickdroid, etc. and a can't fix it and i really need some help!

please does some one have a clue?
EDIT 1:
what can i do? i always used venom rom, and all ok, now since my phone came form htc support, because of the home button problem (they changed the screen, battery and the chassis, and they fixed)
now i cant use the venom i have done 3 clean install and nothing(( ..... iam going to try the TrickDroid_9.1.0 and see, if it happens again iam screed
EDIT 2:
i notice that if i clean caches and install the bulletproof kernel it stays ok, for about 5m, then the sound goes way... ?!? there must be something that is interfering with the sound services?
just found out in other foruns, that if you press volume all down, and them volume up, the sound starts working again, but some minutes later, the same no sound
http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc...d-speaker.html now iam going to remove every app and see if theres one making the problem ... it will take some time . if anyone as a clue please help!

EDIT 3:
i tried the stock kernel and the bulletproff, removed all apps, tried 4 clean viperone s installs with multiples recovery's, tried a factory reset from the bootloader with the original recovery, tried with the trickdoid. and nothing works!!
what can i do please some one!?

a minutes after a clean install the sound suddenly stops working, especially if go to the dialer
i have to install a new rom or a restore, but +/- 5m after fresh install, the problem starts again
when i relock the booloader, with a twrp backup of the original rom untouched it shows a "security warning error" ? and wallways reboots to the bootloade
don't now what else to do ?
some one please!
Hello;
A little frustrated - Samsung Galaxy Nexus (not rooted - updated automatically) crashed yesterday. I had installed Rocket Media Player and it was scanning for media files. Equalizer Music Player was downloading in the background. The phone crashed and rebooted. It continued to load the OS, but would crash repeatedly. During the window of time before crashing, I attempted removing Rocket Launcher and Equalizer Music Player, both manually and through Google Play. The phone would not retain memory of any changes on the next crash/reboot.
I pulled the battery and card, and let it sit for awhile. Did some charging and attempted reboot again. At this point it bootloops from the 'x' screen back to the 'google' screen and that's it. It has not successfully gone beyond this stage no matter what I have done.
I've attempted Recovery Mode with a factory wipe/reset and cache wipe, with the same result. (This really surprised me.)
So here I'm stuck. Can anyone help me with what to do?
Try to flash a stock Rom onto your phone after data formatting
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yesterday was watching a youtube video on chrome and just lost systemui, was able to finish the video, and after that phone did nothing else, had to restart...
it plays boot animation and after that there there's just a black screen (backlight on) and nothing else, (phone does not ring if a call, volume keys make no sound)
PS: Since I'm on 4.4.2 with ART, usually it tries to update/optimize one app and after that, there comes the lockscreen
but now, not even try to update app...finish boot animation and there's nothing else....
I know that a dirty install is not good, but since I just need to recover some files (then do I make a clean install)
I guess dirty install is my best option to recover files
my phone is a XT1033 retail_br, with bootloader locked, so i'll need a stock rom*
*= guess a 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 would be the best match, but i'm not sure
can someone help me finding the right files and also explain how to flash a new room and keep user data?
Thanks in advance for anyhelp
Stock ROMs are available from here. Get the correct file for your exact model. You could try flashing these ZIPs through TWRP and seeing if it boots.
If that doesn't work, you could boot into TWRP and use the 'cp' command in Terminal to manually copy files from the /data/ partition to /sdcard/.
