There isn´t a way to add numbers to Emergency call´s.
The purpose of that feature is so that if there is an emergency you can dial an emergency number (911) without having to unlock the phone.
Also if you lost your phone you wouldn't want others to be able to make calls from the phone (another reason why it only allows emergency numbers).
I don´t know how to customize lock screen since i don't know which phone you have.
i have samsung galaxy pocket duos

I like having the security of an unlock pattern with emergency call option. But I would also like to include one or two contacts on that screen to call In Case of Emergency. Has anyone been able to modify the unlock pattern screen, or made their own, to include such options?
Thanks
You can include a contact number if you have avg

I'm almost 100% sure someone has asked this before but no combination of terms pulls it up in search...
The basic question is this: why on some phones do the lock screens have items for sms/email as well as unlock and silent while other devices with the same lock screen don't?
I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S 4G and using the core Android lock screen (not the glass one that comes with the phone) and all I have is unlock and silent sliders but I've seen screenshots of other phones with sliders above them for sms and email.
Is this a device specific thing or something the device maker enables/disables or ...?

Is there any privacy app which can hide any predefined number when call comes from the number or when I call the number.
Like it hides the call screen and don't show either the number or the name. Maybe show a custom screen or image.
If not any way I can do this with tasker ?

You could probably use Full Screen Caller ID HD app and customize the caller preferences to display a certain image and turn off the number display, etc..

I don't know if the free version will or not

My contact settings include photos in the phone app.
When those people call me their caller ID and number are shown on the incoming calling screen but not their photo.
I note that if I disable the default phone app and use a 3rd party app (True Phone), there is no caller screen at all, just ringing. Therefore, there is no way to answer the phone. So, the default phone app has to run and the incoming calling screen must be generated by that app. However, I cannot find the setting and of course I can't find any setting for including the photos.
Could someone please help me include the photos of contacts in the incoming calling screen?
Thanks
On my phone with Android 7.0, I can set a photo for a contact only if the contact info is saved in phone other than in SIM card.
After a contact photo has been set, the photo will be shown on the incoming calling screen.
I don't believe that I am using contacts from SIM but the phone.
But, how do I tell?
I can't find that setting either.
I am using Android V6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
Edit: Just noticed that a picture is indeed showing but it is so dark that I didn't notice it before. However, I also notice on the picture there is a word written saying "Unknown" in the middle of the picture. What does that mean?
Just updated the stock Phone app and the picture now shows correctly.
However, the sticking problem of the "Unknown" is still shown.
I have attached a screenshot of the phone's call screen showing the picture and the word "Unknown" in the middle". I have blurred the phone number and street name.
Hope this helps someone point me to find the cause of this.

If all your incoming calls are showing as unknown, contact your service provider and ask if there is a problem with your account (service?) as it may not be a problem in your phone.
But if only incoming calls from some particular contact are showing as unknown, contact this guy and ask if he/she has hidden his/her caller id in his/her phone settings.
For example, setting to turn off Caller ID on a Huawei P9 as below.
Open Phone app,
then tap Menu icon > Settings > Additional Settings > Caller ID > Hide Number
Be aware that the number is only hidden on Voice calls not on SMS/MMS.
I think I may have tracked down the problem.
It's not the account or service provider.
I use a 3rd party lock screen (Start). I didn't think about looking at this because the incoming caller screen is generated by the default google phone app. But, if I disable the Start lock screen and go to the default screen the incoming caller screen does not have the "Unknown" banner. Therefore, I believe that the Start lock screen intercepts the incoming caller screen and inserts the "Unknown" banner for some reason. I am unable to find any setting in Start to remove this so I have emailed the authors and now have to wait for their response.
While I am on the incoming caller screen, where can I find the settings for the incoming caller screen?
In dialer when I want to call to somebody I click on that contact and then phone is displaying all phone numbers (work, private etc) assigned for that person, and I need to click again on selected phone number and finally green phone icon to start a dial - it's ridiculous.
If contact have only one phone number assigned, then even if I click on that contact phone do not auto dial, it only display this number and I need to again click number and then green icon to start a dial.
Is any way to set galaxy s7 phone to auto dial default phone numbers without clicking two times to do this? I used previuosly AOSP roms and I had only to click on contact and phone automatically dial to that person - so simple.

If you are on a TouchWiz ROM you just swipe to the right to call whatever the default number is, swipe to the left to send a text message.
thanks good to know
I just switched to google dialer - much much better now.
