Hello,
Does Nexus 5 NFC support secure element on SIM card? So does it support SWP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_Wire_Protocol )?
Regards,
Mark.
In theory it does. In practice...

Hey,
I am looking for best android table with wifi and 3g with a screen size of around 7".
I have found one, Galaxy tab 2 7.0 with wifi and 3g.....its called:
SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 7.0 P3100 8GB 3G & WI-FI
It seems to be a bit expensive, someone know of any alternatives?
And when it says 3g, that means I can put my sim card in the tablet and use my network data on the tablet?
Thanks.
yo guys I'm unable to accept anything from my dad's Note 3 using these 2 function, only NFC beam works
are you guys having any issues with these 2 functions??
Hi
does any know how to activate Band 26 800mhz in nexus 5. India CDMA network supports 800Mhz so can insert sim & use it.
If you are rooted, I'd assume you could use MSL Reader alongside Nexus 5 Field Test Mode but I may be wrong. I have heard mixed results of this working and not working. Use precaution unless someone comes in here who knows what they are doing...
Hoping to get more concrete suggestion.
Tks for ur reply

Hi, will the Nexus 5 be able to use GPS tracking fitness apps, such as Runtastic, without the SIM card? In other words, without any service/data.
Does it work? And more importantly, is it accurate?
Thanks.
It should work and accuracy should be fine ... The gps will probably take a little longer though

seems like stock lollipop rom doesn't support EAP-SIM to connect to wifi.
Is there any rom for nexus 5 allow that?
What is eap sim

EAP-SIM is an authentication protocol that allows your device to connect to a wifi (which is setup as such) using sim credentials.
As you can guess by now, it's mainly wifi hotspots provided by the telco. Telco do so to reduce loads on their 3G/LTE networks while providing good internet connection to you, the customer.
I want this too, but Google confirmed that Nexus 5 can't support EAP-SIM.
(I cannot insert the reference URL here as a new user. Android-developer-preview issue 2238)
Up to my knowledge, this is a software problem, not hardware.
So I wonder why Nexus 5 can't have it, though other devices (Nexus 6, LG G3) can.
