Hi guys,
What would you recommend me to flash on my girlfriend's phone Xperia J?
As I remember, currently she has stock 4.1.2 and it is slow as hell! She also has a lot of stuff (photos, music etc.), so the ROM should be stable and fast.
Thanks for any help!
You should flash CM10 based Fljótur Rom by lozohcum. Its fast, stable and also battery friendly and best rom for xperia J.
Hit thanks button if i helped you

You don't need to flash a new rom if all you want is extra speed, especially if your girlfriend likes stock. Instead, flash the Vengence Kernel, v1.40. With this you will be able to overclock to 1.3ghz instead of the standard 1ghz. That'll clear up any speed and lagging issues she may have.
Here is a link to the kernel images: (make sure you install the right one!)

I updated my xperia pro from the default 2.3 to ics 4.0.4 and now it is very slow. I backup all my data, and did a hard reset (and ics was the default after it), but it is now the same. why is it?

I read somewhere that resetting to factory configuration solves some lag problems, but overall stock ICS rom is just that slow.
My xperia pro has a locked bootloader, so custom rom options are minimal, however I recommend Ice Cream Pureness, I use that one and it is waaaaay faster and smooth than stock ICS rom, I'm very happy with it.
There's also Jelly Sandwich... I've read it's even faster... gotta try that one next month maybe.
If your phone has an unlockable bootloader, your choices are way better... and faster since you can actually flash it a better kernel. Search through Arc S forum (xperia pro does not have own forum section so we're there)
So i m new to android phones was using nokia for long time...i just need little help in deciding which custom rom is more stable and latest?like paranoid confused me a bit..and i really like the looks of xperia z rom also....
so need some advice.plzzzzzzz
other things i have on my mind is that i have rooted my phone and i read that one should always made a backup of original rom.How to made that back up ????and lets say if i chose and install a rom like xperia z and then want to shift on paranoid or may be a latest version of any custom rom so then also i can always go back to my old original rom which i backed up??
i guess that can save my warranty or not ???
No warranty, if you unlock bootloader. Going back to stock? Use pc companion repair or .ftf for flashtool.

For me the most stable and smooth rom is Slim Bean Build 3
For backup try looking in Google for the rom version you have installed in stock
Hey guys,
I have the xperia tipo with the Free Xperia Project tapioca FXP 246 and i want to know if there is a newer Kernel for my device, i'm no expert but i've flashed many phones, some samsungs,2 or 3 xperias and an LG...so i can handle some tools...
I Don't want to overclock my Tipo, i want to know if there is a way to avoid the heavy lag, FXP is stable for my, but it lags a lot sometimes, like when you want to answer a call and it hangs a lil' bit...
Some data:
Kernel
3.0.8 FXP - g22c38de5
baseband version (unknown)
android 4.1.2
cyanogen mod version: 10-20131127 unofficial tapioca ss
Also i use CleanMaster and move some apps to the SD.... Xperia Tipo doesn't have much problems with the app storage, i have a lot of free space, but it's not as fast as i need it...
And finally, is there another good app for the managing calls?...
(Sorry if my grammar isn't good enough, i'm Uruguayan)
Cheers,
And may your crotch find its way to a vagina.

Currently there is only 4.0,4.1.2 and 4.4 rom for Xperia J
If you want a 4.2.2+ rom, there is only one 4.4 rom,You may want to know that it's still in alpha version, laggy and camera not working

Sorry for late reply,
I suggest you to use PA rom made by lozohcum,it's base on cm10
PA ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2326477
As you tried a few custom rom,you may notice that the screen won't light up when someone dial-in, you need to press the lockscreen button twice in order to pick up the phone.
also, the illumination bar isn't working normally in cm10,you can try it first and you can disable it from setting page after you flash the rom.

You might want to use walkman to work on your phone,I am using this,
Download : http://d-h.st/HOJ

Since album and movie app update a lot, google yourself "album for 4.1.2" and "movie for 4.1.2"
It's better for you to use CM10 or stock JB since the CM11 is still buggy
If you fell your phone is laggy, use vengance kernel for the stock JB 4.1.2
Here is the list of tweaks, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947926
It works for all phone.
Hopes it help you!
Hello! My cousins Xperia J is verry laggy. I want to set a custom rom on it. But i don`t know any roms for this device, because i have Xperia P. I need a rom for daily usage. Can anyone suggest any roms?
I`m not asking for the best rom, but for using it daily. And I don`t have much time for testing all roms.
