[Q] Link for Gingerbread 2.3.3 source code

Hello fellow Android Developers,
I have stalled out in the middle of an Android App Development tutorial, that was going very well until now. This is my first time debugging an app.
Error was related to adding the source for the android.jar file. It seems that I need a source code for Gingerbread 2.3.3. Please post a link and instructions if needed.
Thanks very much
P.S. some details on my coding tools and problem. I am using Eclipse 3.7 on Windows 7. I am reading up on several options now, but it sounds like I just need the 2.3.3 source code. Let me know what you think.

[Q] Android Public Class Error

Hi Every1,
I am very new to programming. I just created my first app on Eclipse ( Hello World program ). Whenever I run check on my project I get error mentioned below.
This class should be public (android.support.v7.internal.widget.ActionBarView.HomeView)
I already have "appcompat_v7" entry in my android library for my project. Please guide how to correct this error.
Regards,
Haroon

if you are new to programming. try to start a new project in eclipse without actionbar. ..
I have even tried without actionbar and it gives same error.
Whenever I select minimum Required SDK to API level 8, appcompat_v7 library gets associated with it. When I run check on appcompat_v7 library I get same error. When I create project with higher API level then no appcompat_v7 library gets associated with it and no error is faced in my project. I believe this appcompat_v7 library is to provide backward compatibility and itself contains error.

[Completed] compile source code

Hey Guys I need to compile source code of a app and it is in java so apktool will not work and also don't advice eclipse if you can provide how to convert .java to smali that will also help
Hi, please don't make multiple post of the same question, http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/compile-java-to-apk-t3118858. It gets confusing and is against XDA rules. I'll close this post and try to get to your other post.

[Completed] Google's Exoplayer

Hello, I have asked a question about this before. Someone told me to sign up and post the question. So this question.>
I want to run google exoplayer (I cannot post the link because of limitations in XDA Forum) in my android phone.
I have downloaded the whole project file and understood that I have to compile it into an apk somehow (because it has folders like 'res', 'assets' and files like 'AndroidManifest.xml') but I cannot do it because I know little about compiling apk.
I have also downloaded some files like .pom, .aar, .jar from bintray (jCenter). I don't know how I can put them to use.
SO, IF SOMEONE CAN COMPILE THE FILES into an APK FILE, I WILL REMAIN GRATEFUL. I am 99% sure that those files and folders can be compiled (or zipped) into an apk file. PLEASE SHARE THE COMPILED OR ZIPPED APK FILES, OR AT LEAST TELL ME WHICH FILES ARE TO BE ZIPPED (I have no SDK so I cannot compile and please compile it if needed). Please don't dissapoint me. Thank you very much in advance.
Hi!
I believe this was your previous thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/question-google-exoplayer-t3196463
You need to ask for further help in the Section that was linked for you in that previous thread. XDA Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support.
Good luck!
