[Q] Anyone has problems with sleep mode - N5? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was trying to set sleep under display to 2 min. It works for the first time of setting but once it is in sleep mode, it changes back to 15 sec all the time. :crying:

Screen timeing out with stay awake selected

I have the screen time out (settings->display->Screen Timeout) set at 15 seconds and the stay awake (settings -> appications -> development -> stay awake) checked but it will not stay on.
Anyone else have this issue after update to 5.3.6?

Sets the screen timeout.... AKA SCREEN TIMEOUT ,if you want it to never timeout, set it to never... 15 sec = 15 sec timeout, 30 sec =30 sec timeout and so on...

STAY AWAKE
Screen will never sleep WHILE CHARGING
this will be the only time the screen never sleeps
I am aware of the WHILE CHARGING part of it.
I plug it in and it will not stay awake....
I am seeing if anyone else has this issue to see if something went bad in flashing from stock to supercharged to stock to update to stock to update or if they messed something up in the update.
I plug it into my charger to keep it awake while I have it mounted in my car for Google music and it would stay awake with the screen time out option selected and even shut the screen off when I would turn the car off before I updated to 5.3.6
So if someone can give a simple it is working on my phone or a hey you ****ed something up that would be great.....
It's working for me. When I am charging it stays awake.
Not sure what "5.3.6" is but I am on the new 2.3.6
It is 2.3.6 but I just had someone else in the office check it and they have the same issue after the update...

screen timeout issue

i just got my note3 the other day. i changed the screen timeout from the default 30 seconds to 5 minutes. then whenever i power off and on the phone, the screen timeout is back to default 30 seconds.
i am running stock android 4.3 and model N9005.
anyone has the same issue?
** updates
i was searching this issue online when someone mentioned the 'profile scheduler' app has the screen timeout setting for 30 seconds. that seems to be the issue for me.

[Q] dim the screen light when idle

Screen Timeout Setting Keeps Changing

Have my Screen Timeout set to Keep Screen On on my LG G3 running 4.4.2 and something keeps resetting it back to 30 seconds. I've posted on the LG forums with no response. I've tried running Log Cat but I'm apparently too dumb to figure out how to find out what's causing the setting to change. Any thoughts?
Bump... anyone?
I think you can set the timeout on display setting, set time as you want it.
Thanks yeah... I know. I have it set to not turn off. But it still reverts to 30 seconds periodically.
I have set 2 minute timeout on my phone, and its work fine, but it will be reverts to 30 seconds if the battery is low (on state < 15%) . I'm not quite sure but i think your phone timeout setting periodically reverts is because your phone is in low battery state
My battery has never been below 50% so that's not it.
Thanks though!

Set timeout to something reasonable (30 seconds or less) and enable Smart Stay.
