My Nexus 5 is d8020, i live in Brazil and my 4g doesn't work here because he works with Canadá's bands.
There is any way to turn on my 4g just flash any roms? If yes, what?
Any idea guys?
Wow way to revive a three year old thread

And nope, brasil uses band 7 on 2100-2600mhz, the only hidden bands on d820 that you can use are 3 and 8.
But if you can wait, in 3 years time, when analogic tv is shut down, you will be able to use it (since band 4 will turn to lte)

Would also like to know this too. It takes 30-40 secs to get signal in certain locations that use to take 5 secs tops!
can i get a link to that radio
Yea the new radio blows. Flashed back the old one an everything is back to normal
All fine for me, although I did a factory reset after applying the OTA (which I do after all OTAs)

I think you need to be at least on an unlocked boot loader.
then you can fastboot flash it directly or install a custom recovery and flash a .zip version from there
Has anyone else 4g signal dropped on 4.4.2

1) Can LG Nexus 5 (Sprint) bought from sprint store in USA run in other countries without unlocking the phone?
2) If it needs unlocking, can you please specify the way to unlock it.
3) Also, what are the drawbacks if i unlock it?

As far as i know you don't need to unlock it, but what country exactly?

If you're from Europe, you will not have 4g. On the other side, everything works like a charm. I have a nexus 5 from US and i'm from Romania.
Yes ... only LTE / 4G ... Europe basebands does not included on D820

Phone is unlocked but you will need the rest of the world model versus the USA model.
Bootloader is locked we have entire threads dedicated to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507905

I flashed the latest nightly yesterday. Everything was great. Then last night I had a total inability to make or receive phone calls. I thought it might just be an install issue so I did a reinstall and unfortunately same resuts. Im using radio m8974a-2.0.50.1.13..... is this the issue. It works perfectly on stock 4.4.3 and im rooted. I like the rom but need my phone to work. Any suggesions?

If relevant, does your carrier require anything special? (e.g. Sprint users need to flash a fix for APN or something, I wouldn't know as my carrier doesn't need anything)
Was it working at any point in time while on the ROM, or was it like that on first installation?

I use at&t it worked at first for about an hour then stopped. I think it has something to do with the new 4.4.3 stuff. 4.4.2 was fine.
BTW this also happened to a few people on another custom ROM when they went from 4.4.2 to .3. They had to revert to stop also.

Maybe it's just the specific ROM? I suggest you try another first. I have no issues with 4.4.3

Hi everyone,
Does Nexus 5 support Android 4.3. I am going to test a software compatibility issue. So is there any problem to flash 4.3 to my Nexus 5 ROM? Thanks.

there isnt anything 4.3 available for the nexus 5, so you cant just flash it. theres no 4.3 source for it, no binaries, no code at all meant for the nexus 5 and 4.3. so, how do you expect to just flash it?

Sorry, I don't quite get you.
Can I download factory images occam 4.3 for Nexus 4 from "developers.google.com/android/nexus/images", and flash it into Nexus 5. I am wandering if it works.

No. Nexus 5 was released with KitKat 4.4. There are no nexus 5 "drivers" that exist that will work with 4.3 because the nexus 5 did not exist then.
