I have a very big problem about my xperia x10a i want to root it but unfortunately my usb port is broken?
As my port is broken cannot connect it to pc.
So i have tried apps like framaroot and z4root but they couldnt help me even my bootloader is locked i cant do anything
And the idea of putting the root file in sdcard and install via recovery is also a fail bcoz i cannot install anything in recovery mode:crying::crying::crying::crying:

I've managed to root my Wt19i(Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman) having the latest version of Android 4.0.4 but I have an unlocked bootloader using the information from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30465156#post30465156
I can give you assistance on unlocking the bootloader (using the testpoint method) if you're blocked. There are several threads on this forum describing how to do it. I will help you tomorrow when I'll be on my pc.

Then I tried to flash real ics r6 which took me to aroma and i accidently wiped everything, even my system.
Then i tried to flased real ics r6 which started to install and then restarted and switched off
now my phone is left only with recovery and kernel .
tell me what to do please please please so that my phone can work again

Download and install flashtool from here
Download the stock ICS firmware(ftf) from here
Download and install drivers from here
Flash the stock ROM using the procedure mentioned here
while flashing please see that you flash the kernel also since you are not on stock kernel

I recently bought one and am dying to root it. It's on android jelly bean 4.1.1
I tried the bin4ry method but that doesn't work (mount permission denied) and couldn't flash the CWM recovery either.
All tutorials on internet are wrong. Can someone please help me?

to get more free ram simply replace ur launcher with xperia home available in the forum.
and freeze all bloatwares from mmx..
it works
im getting 170-240 free ram in my unrooted a88.
By the way somebody please help me to root my a88
binary method failed and sp flash tool is still searching my phone even though it is connected.

What do you mean by "replace ur launcher with xperia home"? Can you please describe me how to do it? I am suffering from low RAM.

hi goodday i root my xperia sl and install cmw. after that i install font installer apps it says reboot then i reboot it now its not working anymore.. :[
at first its show on screen only the sony logo and then few days after also the sony logo dissapear.. it show red led light when i charge it.. plss help me.. i work hard to have that xperia sl i only use it seven mos,, plss help. i go sony service center they want me to pay almost the same price when i buy my xperia.. that was my two mos salary.. :'( help me plss
Try restore factory settings
In cwm select wipe cache
Also wipe delvic cache in advanced
Reboot

Every time u flash do a backup in cwm !!!!!!! If your phone breaks while installing u can simply load the backup and all is working again .
Try the advice of amit
But you will lose any apps and data no workaround :/

he you are able to go in recovery mod or in download mode try installing stock firmware. Search and Download it from xda and then flash it. Follow the step given in that thread.

Yesterday I got my XPERIA tipo (dual) and I rooted it via UnlockRoot pro, then installed the CWM successfully with this tutorial: LINK and now i want to install this: LINK It is a JB ROM... I am running ICS... how is this gonna happen ? I dont even know if my bootloader is unlocked... It should be because i installed CWM... (the phone is 2nd hand the previous owner migh have unlocked it bcs it was rooted and i rerooted it).
So... can someone explain me how to install this PROVISION rom, and tell me if i have to do anything else ?

Ok thanks! But if I have CWM does this mean I have unlocked bootoader and do I have installed flashtool ? I mean... these things are part of the requirements in the video.
Also, what is the best ROM for the tipo ? This cm10 ? there is 11... These things are new to me. Please explain me.

hi guys i have problem i want to flash roms from fxp and some other but when i enter recovery and try i get eror saying that rom is meant for d2303 and my device is 2305 but on cpu z and about phone it said that phone is 2303 also when i use sony mobile flasher i tried to flash firmware for 2305 and it didnt work but when i downloaded 2303 it worked like charm. so my question is why the hell i cant use cm roms
