Play Store text for BetterBatteryStats indicates they are actively working on an update. Seems like 4.4 broke most battery apps that track wakelocks.
There is a working BetterBatteryStats on this site get the latest B2

Hey all!
Has anyone else been experiencing a much higher battery drain with 4.4.3? It's not only me but a bunch of friends and family with the M8 have been experiencing drains when by the end of the day they would have 50% but now it's getting down to 10% or even lower. For me, it will sit on my desk during class and drain a minimum of 15%. Classes are about an hour and a half.
Any tips? It's getting really hard to keep the phone plugged in.
Install Better Battery Stats app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809) . Let it run for a day and see what's killing your battery. I have a feeling its services within Google Play services. I used "Disable Services" app and "Autorun Manager" app to stops alot of play services from sucking my battery.
I wouldn't say I'm getting significant battery drain going from 1.8 viper Rom 4.4.2 to 2.5 viper 4.4.3 w/ firmware but it is noticeable. Also DS battery saver is good, especially if your in low 4g areas all the time

You seen that google play is killing your battery using the wake lock app? Just wondering or what were you using to see this?
suggestion
After any OTA or official update, its a most perform a factory reset* from Stock recovery.
Follow these steps
So Google Play Serveries suck most of our battery up. I use two apps to stop certain Google play receives from running. From installing the app "Better Battery Stats" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809) you are able to see what wakelocks are draining your phone (Both kernel and partial wakelocks). First app to install is "Disable services." In this app go to Google Play services and disable (some of these are default disabled):
- AnalyticsServices
- GcmServices
- SyncService
- PlayLogBrokerservice
- PackageBroadcastService
- InitialzeInternetService
- UserPresence
- GeofenceProviderService
Now install the app "Autorun Manager." Click on "Advance Mode." Go into settings and make sure "Show system entries" is unchecked. In the advance mode scroll down to "Google Play Services" and disable (some of these are default disabled):
- .gms.update.SystemUpdateService$Reciever
- ..gms.checkin.EventLogService$Reciever
- .gms.CheckinService$TriggerReciever
- .gms.update.SystemUpdateService$Activereciever
- .gms.mdm.recieiver.ActivateDeviceAdminUponUnlockreciever
- .gms.checkin.CheckinService$Reciever
- .gms.icing.service.PowerConnectedReciever
- .gms.mdm.recievers.ConnectivityReciever
- .gms.update.SystemUpdateService$SecretCodeReciever
- .gms.feedback.feedbackConnectivityReciever
-.gms.wallet.reciever.ConnectivityChangeBroadcastReciever
- .gms.checkin.CheckinService$ActiveReciever
- .gms.wallet,reciever.PackageAddedBroadcastReciever
- .gms.googlehelp.service.ConnectivityBroadcastReciever
- .gms.mdm.recievers.LockscreenUnlockedReciever
- .gms.mdm.recievers.AccountsChangedReciever
- .gms.checkin.checkinService$SecretCodeReciever
-. gms.app.receiver.OneTimeInitializerReciever
From doing this...I have 1% drain from all of Google Play Services. When Google Play services updates from time to time, you might have to go back and disable these receivers. On this phone, I am able to get 6 hours of screen time. This is on about 30% 4G and 70% Wifi on a daily basis. Took me some trial and error to disable these services. My setup makes nothing FC at all! Hope this helps. You will yield amazing battery life!

I installed it and it just showed 2 apps on the screen I assumed those were supposed to be the ones draining my battery one was google play other was my data manager. Since it only showed those two shouldnt those be the ones it chose were draining my power ?
After updating to latest version of Google Play Services I have started to notice some sort of partial wakelocks. After 6hrs use I've got 44mins wakelock by google play services. Has anyone else noticed such behaviour? I have tried Purity Rom, Cm and Carbon just incase if there's difference, but I've encountered the same wakelock always. Here's what wakelock detector shows

Edit:thanks!
wakelocks are how your phone works, they are supposed to be. an occasional incident might happen, and a process will get "stuck", which could keep a wakelock active. tell me, your wakelock, is it draining battery faster than usual? a reboot will usually fix these kinds of incidences. but you say you flashed roms since, and still the same.. so my next question is which apps are you using that is using this wakelock?

Afaik I don't use any apps that trigger these wakelocks I've experienced. The only solution I've found so far is to disable services called "Configfetchservice" and "userpresenceservice". I've got these wakelocks no matter what ROM or even if I had disabled all Google stuff (sync, location, device manager and so on). Always after a day I have about an hour of Google play services wakelocks by userpresenceservice and configfetchservice. Never had this before. I'm sure it has something to do with latest google play services versions. I know wakelocks are very important part in smartphones but these kind of wakelocks are everything else but wanted.

Not really shocking drain but noticable it is, which is nothing exceptional. It does these wakes during deepsleep every now and then. And of course when device is not used much and there is google play services on top 3 consuming elements at settings-> battery that's not the way it should be. Now I'm going to enable those services again and look for the logcat if I could find out to which app it is related to.

if its draining some battery, but nothing in large amounts, i wouldnt really worry about it. as sometimes these wakelocks appear, then disappear a week or two later.

I guess you're right. I'll just keep those services enabled for a week or so and see wheter it goes away or gets nasty and drains my battery in couple hours.

a while back, these kinds of things drove me crazy. then one day i just decided not to think about them anymore, and have been better off since. sure, every once in a while(rare, usually location oriented) a wakelock will appear that will drain lots of battery, but ill just use the disable services app to kill that wakelock for a week or two, then ill switch it back and all will be normal.

Really?
do you have any idea how to did that ?
It's all about WHICH apps you use. You can have 500 apps without any problems, or 5 apps that work constantly in the background and don't let the phone go to deep sleep.
Check what is going on with apps such as BetterBatteryStats, Wakelock Detector or GSAM Battery Monitor.

Thats how i managed to do it, only apps working all the time, whatsapp (3 groups +1000 msg day), facebook, telegram (1 group +2000 msg every day), weather widget, operamax, linked in, android email, inbox and disabled notifications on apps i dont use
Brand new S6 but very poor battery life. It lasts about 12 hours without heavy use.
GSam shows screen at 2:45 but it's 1:47 in settings -> battery. GSam shows Held Awake time is 5:26.
How do I troubleshoot? I don't have root.
Thanks
Have a look at wakelocks. I have had that the youtube app was causing massive battery drain and I was not even using it. Also have a look as the camera quick launch in the camera settings. Might be that you are accidentally hitting the center button twice and the camera launches and eats your battery.
How do I check which app is doing the wakelock?
Thanks
I've done some homework. Gmail is disabled. Location service is off.
Is it rooted? If yes go with greenify and amplify... Shut up those wakelocks. I get above 5hours on my s6 edge.
If not rooted uncheck those apps from which you dont need notifications... Update your phone to the latest baseband... In short keep it updated. Also you mention your phone being new, let it drain completly so that it can caliberate properly
The phone is not rooted (it comes with 5.1.1 and there seems to be no way to root it). It's already updated to latest this week (OTA).

Buy/Download an app called Package Disabler Pro and disable the bloatwares(pink colour). No root required! It's the best app one could buy for the unrooted S6, I guarantee!

How do I know which package is the problem to start with?
I've disabled the mobile data (WiFi remains on) for a day. The kept-awake time gets close to screen on time. So it must be app with mobile data usage. How could I find out which?
Thanks

That seems to require root. My phone is not rooted.
Hi does any one knows what is consuming my battery ? I have turn off WiFi put into flight mode install greenify and such but my battery life is still taking a beating.
ROM - Mokee 4.4.4
Kernel - latest xposed
Something (a background process/app/service) is constantly keeping the phone awake (doesn't let it to go to deep sleep state).
Try installing BetterBatteryStats and check wakelocks to see what's causing this.

Uninstall unusual apps and games because many games keep running in background.
Also you can install apps like Wakelock Detector from playstore which will provide you more information about the service that is using battery power.
