Hi,
I've sync'd my outlook calendar with Samsung Galaxy S Android calendar. However, all my events are half an hour earlier than the actual time.
Does anyone know why this is so, and how to rectify this?
Thanks,

Jikes.
Can you describe how you've managed to sync your outlook with your SGS? I bet there is a large number of people interested in knowing that. Then we might also be able to find out if the half hour change always happens, and what is causing this.
What OS are you running and which version of Kies (I suppose you synced with Kies, right?)
Well, on Android, I've added my corporate email as one of the accounts, and enabled synchronization of contacts and calendar. This takes care of synchronizing my corporate email from exchange to the Samsung Galaxy S phone automatically.
What I meant by outlook contacts is going through corporate exchange which contains everything that I see in Outlook.
Running on Android 2.1. Not used Kies for this functionality.
Thanks,

Hi All,
I am facing the same issue. One more point to add. Once i try to modify the date on my sgs calender, entries are deleted from both outlook and sgs calender.
Can someone check and respond.
Rgds
Shammi.
I am facing same problem with SGS after flashing to JH1, all my events are half an hour earlier than the actual time. Any solutions yet...?
Re: Calendar Sync Problem on Samsung Galaxy S
Any known workaround for this?
I'm having this problem on both firmware 2.1 and 2.2.
I'm syncing my Corporate Exchange Calendar, and GMail Calendar. Both are an hour wrong when they get to my phone. If I add a new entry to the Google Calendar on the phone, it will show the correct time on the phone, and an hour late on Google Calandar via the web.
The time settings and timezone are correct on the Exchange server and the phone. It does not matter if I set the time manually on the phone or use the auto Get-time-from-Network setting.
It seems to me that the Samsung Sync program adds Daylight Savings regardless of where the calendar entries are synced from, and regardless if the source has allready compensated for daylight savings or not.
I've got the exact same problem. One hour wrong.
Tried searching the web but this is the only place i have come across someone with the same problem.
Would really like to fix this
Someones got to know something about this? Anyone?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Calender events half an hour early issue
any updates on this? any one could able to crack this?
It looks like all galaxy s has this issue but I see only few people reporting and discussing about it.
its confirmed by google that 2.1 does not have native calender sync support and its developed by samsung and Samsung has to fix it.
I am wondering is it a setting that we are missing or really a bug?

My probleme turned out to be the time zone. I had to change it to gmt +2 though norway is really +1
Called samsung about it and the supportguy told me to try that and ut worked.

yes this fixes it: go to settings > time > set to manual > select your CORRECT time zone.
If the time does not match, your operator is the problem.
Keep time on manual, do not change timezone, but manually adjust the time to the correct time.
I have 4.0.3 installed on my Nexus S (GT-9020), and have been loving it - best OS I have used on any phone. So sleek and well designed, it's a real shame most users will never see it's full glory once Samsung, HTC et al will put their own skin over it.
Anyway, yesterday (29th Feb) all my calendar appointments disappeared from my phone and now it is only showing new ones added since yesterday.
None of my settings have changed, I still have my work exchange account and my gmail account syncing and the mail from both are fine. All the calendars are still selected to be shown. When I go online I can still see my appointments in Google Calendar so I know they haven't been deleted and in Outlook my exchange appointments are also still there.
I don't know what has happened. At first I thought it was just the widget but the full app doesn't show them either.
Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know how to sort it?
Cheers.

Try turning sync off for calendar , restart, then turn it back on?
Have you tried clearing data from the calendar app? Go into Settings | Apps | All | look for calendar and clear data.
Are you using a custom ROM? Is this for all appointments (google and exchange)?
I had this problem once for the exchange appointments. I resolved it by removing the exchange account, and adding it back again with all settings left at default.
Maybe a problem with the leap year? But then others should also having problems.
I would also remove the calendar, reboot, delete data and re-add the calendar.
Thanks Oogway13.
I tried turning off and on sync with no joy, but deleting the app data under the app "Calendar Storage" did the trick. Everything went (as expected) then opened the calendar app (can't remember if I selected refresh or not) and all my appointments slowly came back. Weird.
I didn't need to reboot or remove-add the calendar app (which I think you can only disable, not remove, on ICS anyway) so that's good.
Just running stock Nexus S ICS ROM (downloaded from this forum) and use stock calendar app for both google calendar and exchange calendar. All had gone missing though!
Glad it's back.
Excellent!! good to know it's working now
Hi there, the other day i decided to (after a fair bit of reading) root my Wildfire that i have had for the last year with no problems. I have decided to go with the DK_Custom_Froyo v 4.6.2.
After doing so i set about putting some programs back on and getting rid of some of the standard bloatware, such as you tube, adobe reader, pico, rss reader etc.
I have found that my calendar cannot/will not sync with my googlemail account. I have data linked with navigation and google maps, where my starred places can be synced.
I am trying to look into the source of the problem but seen as its taken me over a year to have the bottle to root my phone im not that technically gifted when it comes to phones. (i'll quite happily strip down a car and rebuild it) A couple of the symptoms are:
1. When i add a event there is no calendar to add to then when i click save, it opens a box stating that its 'loading calendars' but would do that all day if i left it.
2. When i goto settings>accounts and sync>google, and try to manually sync the sync com.andriod.calendar, i get a message stating that 'sync is currently experiencing. It will be back shortly'
Everything else syncs such as the weather and facebook.
I like the calendar as i've got used to using it and the layout but obviously i'd rather have a working calendar where i can sync all my appointments and birthdays.
Is the problem with the custom rom?
Any Help or advise on this problem is greatly appreciated.
anyone? Still having problems
I'm not new to Android, just an FYI. Got an HTC One m8 to replace my HTC one m7. When attempting to resync all my data I noticed that my contacts tab under my gmail settings hadn't been synced in several months where everything else had synced in the last day. My new m8 only has the contacts from before that sync while nearly a hundred new ones thay have been added since then didnt show up on my new phone. Every time i try and sync it says 'sync is experiencing errors and will be up shortly' or something along those lines. It obviously will not be up shortly.
Ive attempted to google it several times and some people recommended a contact fix up which didn't work for me. The google support number is no help at all and neither is their support forums. Anyone have a clue on how to sync my contacts with my gmail successfully?
When I set an event-based automatic rule, it doesn't seem to work. This worked fine for me on the final developer preview build (and I think at least one build before that), but it hasn't worked since I flashed the final build. I did a full format and image flash to come to MRA58K.
The rule I have set up is for an exchange calendar, but I have tested other calendars. Another interesting behavior--which may be correct, but it doesn't seem right--is that the only Google calendars appearing are my primary calendars (I have two Google accounts synced). When I go to choose the calendar, all of my exchange calendars appear, but only the primary calendars for my two Google accounts appear.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
I get the same problem on a Nexus 5X on stock (MDB08I). Although I have 4 calendars linked to my device, I am only offered one of these or all, and it did not seem to work when set to All Calendars.
No doubt there will be any update to fix it soon.
Thanks for posting. I'm glad to know it's not just me. Interesting it broke since the last preview build.
My searching for this problem just found this thread. I too am unable to get this feature to work, which is annoying!
It strikes me as odd that there aren't more people reporting this issue. If it's a bug, I would expect more reports. I only saw one other reddit discussion, but it appears to have been deleted.
I'm new to Marshmallow and I'm also struggling to get the Event rules to work, so I thought I would check in with one of the very few discussions on the subject. I'm on a Nexus 5 with stock 6.0 which was factory reset this weekend.
The weekend and weeknight rules work exactly as I expect. However the event rules ( even though I have chosen the correct calendar ) never seem to trigger.
I am wondering if it is something about the "Where Reply Is" value. I have chosen "Yes, Maybe or Not replied" but still nothing.
Am I just mistunderstanding the feature completely ? These are just normal appointments I have added into my calendar. Should I be doing something different when I create them to get them to be "seen" by the Event rule ?
Thanks,
Nige
i have the exact same issue - only shows one of my google calendars in the options, and doesn't seem to work. I don't "reply" to my calendar events, so I wonder if this is preventing it from firing.
I guess nobody has been testing this feature?
I can confirm the same behavior on a Nexus 6P, so it doesn't seem to be device specific or an update error.
I'm glad this isn't just me. I spent quite a long time separating my personal calendar from my work one so that I could have two calendars to use the event feature for meetings.
No dice
Edit: This is on a stock N5X
Same here on MXPE
I just updated my MXPE from 5.1.1 to 6.0 and I too cannot get automatic rules for events to work. I really liked that feature of the Moto tool suite and figured the move to DnD would be easy. I can see the exchange calendar that I want to watch but regardless of whether I have "yes", "yes or tentative" or yes, tentative or no" selected DnD never triggers on events in that calendar. Really hoping for a fix.
Anyone have 6.0.1 able to test if this is fixed?
Not fixed.
I have 3 accounts, so it presents me with 3 primary calendars to choose from. DND works for one of them , but not for the other two. Don't know if it's related, but the account that works is the one I entered first on initial setup, and it's the account I use for Play store.

Interesting that it's working for some but not others.
After updating to 6.0.1, my calendar list contains certain calendars that were not listed before, but my automatic rule still doesn't work. I tried deleting and recreating and saw no improvement. I did not test each individual calendar though, and the calendar I am using is an exchange calendar, so it certainly is not the first calendar to have been synced.

Moto Assist used to apply rules for my exchange account. However, with marshmallows automatic rules for events the rule is not applied. I have tried using all options for the response, deleted and created the rule from scratched all combinations. I really miss this feature and can;t believe there are not more reports of this.
DnD worked for me on my Nexus 6 running stock 6.0.1 with the February 1, 2016 security update using an exchange calendar. Switched to a Nexus 5X with stock and March 1, 2016 security. Now, DnD doesn't work with that same calendar. Such a great feature! I hope they fix this soon.
I amnrunning Marshmallow on a Nexus 6p, current version. the problem is still not fixed: i am able to choose only the first calendar or all calendars for an event trigger for automatic rules.

I recently acquired a Nexus 5x running 7.0 Nougat and I am having this same problem. I have several calendars set up for the same Google account. However, I only get options for My Calendar (which I don't use) and Any Calendar. In choosing Any Calendar, I am still getting interrupted during my meetings, which tells me my other calendars are not being included. This makes DND completely useless for me. I can't believe in all this time Google hasn't fixed this or no one has figured out why this problem is happening.... Anyone have any updates?

Update to 7.1.1
All bugs appear to be fixed with it.
I just got the upgrade to 7.1.1, but still not working...

One of my favorite features about the Motorola with Android was the Moto app, having it be able to be silenced or priority, based on any of my Google calendar events was key! I really want that back
