{Q}adb device offline?

Hey everyone, so for some reason, when i connect my defy via usb, and i open adb and do adb devices, it says device offline, i installed the drivers, but windows also installed some drivers, and so i cant root my phone now. how do i make it online?
Enable USB Debug on the phone;
disable all drivers that are installed, CCleaner on the micro (clean files & registry)
install drivers and rsd lite with the phone disconnected from usb, restart PC
plug usb and use adb
Just reboot the phone.
usb debugging is on, how do i disable drivers?
Sorry to say "disable", i want to say "uninstall"
Unistall everything from Motorola, clean the windows with CCleaner, then reinstall the drivers.
k i did the ccleaner thing and i rebooted phone, it worked, i rooted it, and restored it thanks!

Can't connect to pc

Bought this Galaxy S USED yesterday
I cant get it to connect to my pc
i have done the following.
-installed and reinstalled Kies several times
-Installed and reinstalled drivers several times
-Tried 4 different usb cables
-Tried in USB debugging mode
My phone connects to the pc and then i get a message that my phone is not recognized (windows error 43)
The phone does charge . I have tried all of the options like Samsung Kies , Mass storage , Media player
Nothing seems to work when i select media player option the mpt application starts to crash , i have read on forums that if the mtp crashes i can just select mass storage mode but when i select mass storage mode my pc says device not recognized
When i checked the Build info it says on Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #4
Firmware version is 2.1-update-1
Build number is Eclair.XWJM2
Please help me with this , i thought maybe there if i flash everything but in order to flash it i need to connect it to my pc which is becoming impossible
have you installed the usb drivers for it? What windows you running?
installed drivers several times but it doesnt seem to help
windows 7 32 bit
You can try using a program called usbdeview. Google it and download it. It shows you all of the drivers installed on your computer. Delete all of the drivers affiliated with your phone. Make sure USB Debugging is checked and connect your phone and allow it to install the drivers automatically. It might work, either way, worth a try.

[Q] MTP File Transfer Not Working

Hi All,
I have a One plus one & using Windows 7 64bit
Since the last few days i have lost USB Transfer between my device and windows and cant transfer anything.
I enabled PTP and checked ADB is working showing my device in the command prompt and fast boot is also detecting my device on the command prompt.
But whenever i enable MTP to transfer files between my PC & Device, it detects my device as MTP USB Device but is unable to install any driver and i get the prompt as Driver installation failed.
Could someone please advise a workaround.
PS: Running stock rooted 44S
Thanks
I would try to uninstall drivers on win7, then connect OPO to pc and see what happens.
You can uninstall drivers on device manager in win7.

You can uninstall drivers on device manager in win7.
Click to collapse
Have done that multiple times, and again installed ADB & Fastboot Drivers which are working fine, but MTP is not working and Windows fails do install MTP drivers, thus i am unable to access the USB storage
Have you tried with another pc?

Device Not Recognized in Download Mode

OK so I am trying the new root method and was able to push all files to my device. The device is recognized and can start when booted into the system. However, when I put my device into download mode and checked to see what port the device was on I got an error message: ">reg query HKLM\hardware\devicemap\SERIALCOMM 'reg' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." I then went to the original command prompt and punched in "adb.exe devices" and had no results. I went to my Device Manager and discovered that I had "Error 10: Device Could Not Start". I uninstalled and re installed the drivers, rebooted my phone into download mode, double checked that USB Debugging was active and that the phone was MTP data transfer. Manually reinstalled drivers and nothing seems to fix the issue.....I appreciate any help that is given
EDIT: I am trying to root 20F (Lollipop)
did you resolve the issue???
Not sure if this will work or not... But I've had some luck with the old LG drivers. Uninstall your current driver and give it a shot... http://www.multiupload.nl/XEY2YR3L0I Not sure if that link works. May have to find. Lg mobile driver 3.8.1. Will upload it myself if I ever get around to it..

I did a factory reset on my tablet now it doesn't show up on my PC

Connected as MTP. Debugging enabled
It shows up on device manager as MTP USB Device (update driver says the best driver is already installed)
It shows up on adb devices
It doesn't show up if I try to assign a letter.
