Emergency - phone bootloooed.sdcard problem. - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi guys,
My cm 10.2 26/10 version bootlooped just now and when it came back up the sdcard was not mounted.
On trying to mount,it is complaining about unusable filesystem/format now?
Now,i dont care about fixing my phone - but im seriously worried about recovering all my pics and everything.
Im very competent with adb and fastboot - can someone let me know how to recover my data?
Btw,im s-off and hboot 2.15
Twrp 2.6.0 also is unable to show the sdcard

If you mount sd in twrp does it do anything while plugged into a pc

Hi guyz,i have identified /dev/block/mmcblk0p36 as my sdcard partition. However im unable to mount it - keeps giving me an invalid argument error. Can I download this partition to my linux box and recover it there?

Give it a shot. Never hurts to copy and paste

Sounds like your sd card is corrupt. You can try using data recovery tools. There are a few online that may do the trick. You may have to format the sd card before it is detectable though. I would expect the worst and hope for the best.

Try format the micro sd card again.
Already formatted to fat32 at the same old SD.

if you want to update rom you can use nvflash version (revolver and prime have it)then you can retry via cwm.i had this prob weeks nago and i resolve with flashing with nvflash and then my cwm read properly the microd new..hope this helps,in my case it works week ago!

and wait some more
and there is it on your sdcard flash your rom

Mount USB storage option does not work yet, I hear it should be possible once we have the kernel code from HTC, but until then use the method zylith posted as a temp fix

SD card won't mount in ROM or Recovery

Hello, i recently returned to stock. Afterwards I re-installed CM9, now my SD card won't mount in anything, when i try to mount it in CM9 it just immediatly says SD card safe to remove. any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Also I have tried the method in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630459 but it did not help.
Do u have cwm or twrp?

I recently had a problem with the sdcard not being mountable too. Mine was corrupted so I had to reformat it.
In was using twrp recovery but it is probably the same with Cwm. Try to mount the sdcard from recovery with your pc. The pc might say it needs to be reformatted before use. If so, you just format it to fat32.
Hope it is this simple for you too.
No, the card will not mount in recovery.
Would returning my phone to stock help me in this matter at all?
Cwm can't mount sd card usr twrp

I tried twrp and it still won't mount.
Did you look at this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630459
It is a common problem.
OK i ran through the process in the post again, for some reason it seems to have worked ths time around. Thanks for the help!

Accidentally Reformatted SD

So I use use this phone as a play phone since I have a Skyrocket. That being said i really dont want to get negitive comments.
So I accidentally reformmatted the SD card when i was going to update the rom from a 4.1 to a 4.2
The issue that I'm having now is that the phone won't be read by the computer. I've tried 2 different things.
Mounting the usb so I can move over the ROM files and re flash. Didn't work since the computer won't read the phone
Tried using ADB to push the files but same issue. ADB doesn't recognize the phone when plugged in. I plugged in my Skyrocket and ADB recognized it.
Yes I have the drivers installed and to be safe reinstalled them. I'm running everything up to date and can't seem to find a solution for my problem.
If anyone has a solution or give me any other idea I would appreciate it.

Can you mount usb from within clockworkmod recovery?
I tired but my computer doesn't read the phone. Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled and still no luck.

Try the pda net drivers here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9861928 if you haven't already.

I used the Samsung toolbox program and on that you can do a temp boot thing then mount SD card and put stuff like backup back on SD card.

Put phone in fastboot mode and flash Google image. This should fix your phone.

Can't you mount storage in TWRP and move the ROM across from the PC?

I've never done that before. How exactly do you go about doing that?
Thanks. I figured it out. Put zip on phone, wiped, flash boot, flash rom. Thanks again.
Just boot into recovery (TWRP), go to mount (which may be under the advanced tab) and mount external storage. Now connect your phone to your PC via usb cable and it should pop up as a removable drive. Copy the ROM from your PC and paste to your phone. Un-mount your storage, disconnect from PC, and you should be good to go.
