Hi all,
The auto-focus occasionally is completely out of focus, wondering if I'm alone ? Even on very simplistic black and white paterns.
Made a video to show the issue :

Hey everyone,
Just recently, I've been having a problem with blurry pictures because the photo taker assumes that the photo is taken and saved before it is taken.
Previously on roms, once you press the blue button on the camera app, you see the autofocus do its work, and then it stops (which means the photo has been taken).
However, on the ROM I am currently on, it does the autofocus and the still, but takes like 3 seconds after that before the photo is actually taken O.O I'm not sure why, but this is causing a lot of blurry pictures because autofocus doesnt account for the 3 seconds between the focus and the actually photo taken.
Any ideas?
I do not have your phone/brand/rom so I have no experience in your device whatsoever.
However, I think that you are spot on about the autofocus potentially being a cause.
Are you able to disable it or use another camera application that has tap to focus or similar?
Sorry for the late reply.
Using another camera app causes some glitches (parts of the picture cuts off, streaks of white on the sides, etc.). Tap to focus will not help the problem because there is still a gap between when the pic is taken and when it is focused.
Thanks.
Hello all, I am having a problem with the video camera on my phone. When taking video in "normal" mode it looks like it is way zoomed in, "Limit for SMS" mode has proper zoom as does regular camera. Is this normal? I cant get anyone into the frame in "normal" camcorder mode unless im 10 feet away. I have tried 2 different roms JB 4.1.1 and now Embryo 6.8 and its the same in either rom. Thanks in advance for any help.
Thanks Quarx! Motorola Defy (green lens) runs awesome under CM11 (nightly 10.3.14).
Only the camera causes still some trouble to me. I would like to know if this is a known issue or if I have to correct some settings (HW-Acceleration?)
Google-Camera takes Still-Pictures, Panorama works but display is dark during recording, Video does not work: trigger stays solid red (without white square in the middle). When starting the camera while it is in Video-Mode there is an overlay of several black/white and colored live-images with a clear (shortedge) middleline.
Focal(Beta) crashes frequently and does not alow videos either.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
Since I've bought my XM2, I had some problems with the camera... To be more exact, the autofocus function, or whatever its called. The thing is that when I start the camera app (the default one) all the pictures are blurry, I've tried to install other camera apps, but still... autofocus wont work.
Any help? Will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
No one? C'mon guys...

I have the same problem since the KitKat update. Probably Sony will fix it in future
use the manual mode instead of superior auto. you have more control over focus there
In my old Xperia Neo we had an option for stabilizin the pictures we took. Its symbol was a hand surrounded by waves. If I had that option checked I never got blurry pictures.
It would be great to improve this for our mobiles (I also have the same problem in my M2)
you can use manual focus instead of autofocus. Just set type of focus do you want (touch, face detection) in camera setting
I'm experiencing problem with my Xiaomi MI4 front camera. Everytime I capture a video from front camera, the resulting video is flipped horizontally. But capturing images from front camera just works fine, though rarely it flips image too, that happens cause of the angle we hold the camera to take the picture. And that can be fixed with apps like Pixlr. But the video...it really sucks. It gets flipped every f**king time, doesn't matter what the capturing angle has been. Please someone help fixing this bug!!!
Thanks in advance. ?
