MASSIVELY STUCK!!!
a friend of mine brought his phone to me (happens to b the same model as mine) with this problem....the phone reboots on starting any app even the phone app!!...it is impossible to do anything from inside the phone as it restarts randomly...i tried to factory reset it, install a new ROM, ...but strangely on restart all the apps are still there with the same ROM!!...i tried flashing a new kernel for a different ROM..fastboot gave error "too many links"...flashtool got stuck...
i tried to use flashtool to flsh original firmware..it got stuck at 'connect your phone'!..
attaching a logcat here,will appreciate any help very much....
BTW the phone is rooted BL unlocked and running the xperia Z fire ROM..

if flashtool doesn't work try pc companion and seus
if u cant flash/repair the phone with any of these or flashtool and you already tried another rom i dont know if you can do anything more than that but try pccompanion and seus

No buddy...he said tried flashing another kernel.
So probably his bl is unlocked..he will brick phone if he uses pc companion lion an unlocked bl..

ive got two things that MIGHT work,try using flashtool on another pc,and there is still sony new flashtool called emma but we have to wait for sony to make it support our phone

i have got emma...doesnt recognize the phone...it used to before all this ****....but since bl was unlocked,nothing could be done through it....and about trying flashtool on another pc...i'l do it tommorow,tho i dont see how tht may help......

Well, this is my first post, but I've learned alot from this site, and I love it. I wanted to ask a couple questions so I decided to register. My phone is a Sony Xperia E single sim with 11.3.A.2.13 on it. I've had it for 2 months and it turned out to be running very slow. So I decided to try to root it, and I failed... I tried everything, from using SRSroot, to flashing to 11.3.A.0.47 and root it with Framaroot and then flash back to 11.3.A.2.13. Nothing worked, so I decided in a desperate move to unlock the bootloader of my phone, I saw lots of posts, which said that there was no harm in it, and if you were facing a bootloop after the unlocking you could easily flash the phone in Flashmode with Flashtool. So I unlocked my bootloader with the BLU button in Flashtool, and after that I was facing a bootloop... Now, I didn't panick, because I just flashed the 11.3.A.2.13.ftf which I downloaded, and... It didn't work! Flashtool got stuck at ''Flashing data'' at 90 %. I still didn't panick, and I downloaded both 11.3.A.0.47.ftf file and 11.3.A.2.23.ftf file, but the same thing happened. So I used different USB-ports, but Flashtool got stuck again! Now I got a bit scary, but I didn't freak out, I downloaded a relock-bootloader file for the single sim, and flashed it! And it worked! I tried to flash another .ftf file, and again it got stuck... So I used Sony Update Service, which completed downloading, but got stuck at 0% with the installing, after 5 minutes it said: ''install failed, please check if your phone is fully charged''. And I do think it was fully charged, because I charged my phone all night, but there was one option left: repair the phone with PC Companion, and then flash a .ftf file. But my PC companion has no repair buttons! I know it should be there, but it isn't! So here I am, desperate, and willing to do everything to fix my phone! I have 3 questions:
1. Is there anything left to do, which I can try?
2. If I send my phone to Sony, will they know I tried to modify my software? Because flashing the relock-bootloader file did work. And before they fix my phone they have to flash it, and I think that if they do that, there is no way left to see it had the bootloader unlocked, but please correct me if I'm wrong! Isn't it possible to make up a lie, like: I tried to update my phone with PC Companion, and during the installation, it got stuck, and my phone ended up in a bootloop?
3. If Sony does know that my bootloader was unlocked, what will it cost me to let them fix it?
But please, answer question one first, because that's always free
1.Be patience... try flashing again, leave your phone for 10~15 minutes if doesn't work... Try on another computer (friend's) . It should work.
2.as you said that bootloader relock.ftf successfully flashed and root didn't work,I don't think theres any proof left to know that you try to modify your phone's software ,so you can make a lie
3. I didn't know that.

So I'll try this, and I'm pretty sure this will work, because there was a person with a E having the exact problem on another site, and he fixed it on the pc of his dad. But my phone got stuck in a bootloop a week ago, so I started to panick, and posted on XDA! For the next problem I will keep searching a bit longer!

Which version of flashtool are you using.....?
Its recommended to use latest version...
Try this..
Charge the phone..
Pull out battery
After a few minutes put it back in...DO NOT POWER IT ON OR PRESS POWER BUTTON
Now prepare for flashing and then when it asks to connect..then, only then press vol down and connect..
Hope this works...
And just make sure your biotloader us still locked.,,if it isn't,just flash a different kernel via fastboot

Well, I charged my phone fully(something like 5 hours), and I followed your other instructions, but unfortunately... No result. Flashtool still gets stuck at 90%!

If all else fails like flashing stock ROm for Xperia E the only way to get your phone back is to return it to Sony in hopes of them replacing it

Btw bro sometimes pcc does its work..today i got a bootloop and i mistakenly had deleted my device's ftf.. Download speed was not great so as a result i used pcc.. And it did its work... Actually its good for noobs, new users..

So, yeah I recovered my phone+ I finally found a way to root it with: http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/ !!!!
It was very easy, just download it and run the .exe. After rooting you have to manually install Superuser/SuperSU.

Just unlock it via flashtool.click on the blu BUTTON and type or copy paste the key send by sony and surely you will get bootloops so flash stock ftf.

Green LED goes off
Hey man,I trie ddoing that flashtool BLU thing but.....heres the problem.....when i click BLU..It tell me to connect in flash mode ...so i do that,phones green LED comes on.......then it says (something. blahblah....."flashing data") AND THEN MY GREEN LED LIGHT GOES OFF:crying::crying:.....disconnected,tried again same result....any advice?:crying:
Using flashtool is the best way. However most users got stuck in boot loops the first time they unlocked bootloader. If you also get in bootloops then flash stock kernal again and You should give it a second try to unlock bootloader... It worked for me

Because you must connect your phone in fastboot mode, not flashmode.

The battery is over, i put it to charge and the miro no turn on never more
Try flashing a STOCK rom, that should restore everything, if not Relock bootloader, and send in to Sony, They'll most likely accept warranty.

You say you've flashed 2 .ftf's? So flashmode still works? If so, you could try Sony Update Service. If not, well, yeah, sending it to Sony is the only available option(if you still have warranty). If the warranty is over, you might want to consider to buy a new phone. Not trying to scare you! If you still have warranty, don't worry!

Flashmode works but when the flashing is over and i try to turn on the phone continue with the same problem. I don't have warranty :crying:
try sony update service or pc companion.
there is no reason for that after successful flashing. maybe there is something during flashing or in the ftf file?
Bring your phone to the Sony center they will repair your boot. I searched on Google and fuond this problem. My miro just like yours now. It will cost about 20$

Are you wiping the data and cache/dalvik cache when trying to flash FTF ? This seems to be the usual problem!
And you know about booting into fastboot mode to flash ? Can you provide your log of your flashing FTF? We might be able to help you further with that!
On the contrary, bringing it to Sony as of now is the best option rather than trying to flash and re-flash stock ftfs
Relocking the bootloader won't work. You lose the DRM Keys forever and those keys will never come back

Hello, I have rooted my Xperia C and It was 1st time that i rooted my phone , but after rooting it I found that it has become complicated for me to use rooted phone,as I am not having any knowledge what to do after rooting my phone. So I decide to unroot it, but I already deleted my some in-built apps without doing backup of them :crying:. I have tried every thing that I could do to bring my phone to stock and claim warranty , but I was not able to succeed in any method that I tried..
Following are the methods which I tried to reset my phone and to bring it to stock-
1- done factory reset - (not worked)
2- try to reset using PC Companion but now PC Companion is not detecting my phone
3- At the end I thought of fixing this issue using FLASH TOOL , I have the new Android 4.2.2 16.0.B.2.6 firmware.ftf update of Xperia C, but when I tried to install it using the flashtool, it also not working at all. When ever I starts flashing it getting abort again and again... :crying:
I am really confused what should I do now I tried every thing :crying: ...Please help me if any one can tell what I should do now???

Root your phone definitely voids warranty and unrooting brings it back, only if the members of service center don't find that u have rooted your phone ...
and I want to sent my phone to service center so that I can find out that my my phone's warranty is still claimable or not. and if claimable they I can get my phone in way it was 1 day of purchase ...
And frankly saying I don't remember that which In-built software I delete when I rooted my phone, so please paste here all the apps which are in system folder, or tell me how can I transfer them in system folder again, Do I need to root my phone again.. thanks..

make sure you back up all data which is stored in internal storage
as it will wip every thing except external storage

But, @chauhanjayc is absolutely Rite, Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and do customization reset is exactly the same of doing factory reset of your cell phone, as I have removed my some system apps so they are removed form the system of my phone, so factory rest or Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and do customization reset will not bring them back , but I appreciate your reply:fingers-crossed:

Finally I got my solution after 2 days of research of web only just because of u @chauhanjayc, I have done every thing to get a solution to my problem, checked lots of blog and sites and finally with your help I finally found my solution ....

this one is for those who are stuck at sony logo (bootloop)
and sony comp. is for those who are able to boot
basically this one is a official flash tool and pc comp. is a sony pc kit having some of extra features....

matter is what is the condition of your phone
use this tools accordingly
now one major benefit of pc comp. is even if you are upgrading or repairing your phone it will keep you phone on until the software download finishes ,
where in sony update service will do ask you to connect you phone in flash mode so no way you can use your phone while software is downloading...
