CM Clock Widget - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I really liked the digital clock widget that CM had as a stock app in 10.1-10.2. Is it on the playstore? If not, can I get it somehow?

Pull it from the ROM and try it out, I had always just installed it like a normal apk and it installed just fine. I don't know about 4.4 though, with it installing normally, or working

Yes, that's right. It's called Chronus and is available for free in the play store.

Yep, was gonna say, it's Chronus in Google Play

tnx cool app
I installed it but couldn't get it to open. The option didn't even exist.
However, I did find another such app called XPERIA Flashlight, that works like a charm.

x2! This is exactly what I wanted. Just click the widget to turn it on, click it again to turn it off. Even stays lit when the screen is off. Brilliant.

You won't find it in the app drawer. It's a widget only

ok.. that didn't take long.. The FlashLightApp widget is easier to activate.. so I've plumped for that one.

Sorry, my bad. I was referring to the previous version of FlashLightApp. I've downloaded the update today and now it's in the drawer too.

Hi,
Is there a way to get dynamic calendar icon (iOS style) which will display the real current day/date, for the calendar app?

LOL.. thanks, but NO thanks!
Get "HD Widgets" from playstore. The is a 1*1 widget which shows the current date. If you click it, it opens the calendar.

Minimalistic Text would be another way.

Since MIUI has a whole host of the active icons, yes, it is possible. I don't know how exactly, though...

MIUI rom will make this happen. I have dynamic clock and calendar in MIUI rom and it was working perfectly. Unfortunately there's no MIUI rom now available for I9500. Hope it will come soon.

Also featured on Android Community, Talk Android, IntoMobile, Android Headlines, and Droid Life!

Fully resizable and shows your messages at a glance.
Because of limitations to the Android system, only new Hangouts will be shown
You must first install Google Hangouts!

[QRCODE]https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.RSen.Widget.Hangouts[/QRCODE]
2.0:
- Lock Screen Widget
- Redesign with transparency and new icon
- Configure transparency for each widget
- New Dark Mode
- bugfixes
If the widget stops working after the update, please readd it. I am aware of an issue where the widget may lose recent conversations, this has been fixed for future updates...
The widget looks really nice, but damn it my Sony Xperia Z has not received 4.3 update yet...
Does it support lockscreen widgets?

Looks great, will definitely be using

If widget goes live on homescreen , so that we can type there only..
F yeah!
Are we maybe one step closer to a quick reply type pop up?
Like it!
But, IMHO, it must be a little bit wider
Getting error 920, can't download :/

Thanks for sharing. If you're taking feature requests, a transparency option and making it. available as a lockscreen widget would be amazing.

It don't fit in my concept

The OP's link got truncated a bit. Try the full link (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.RSen.Widget.Hangouts) OR do a search on the Play Store.

Device not compatible at&t s4..
Can you post the APK for those that don't use the Play Store?
Installed!
It shows up as #9 on the list when searching "hangouts widget"
Anyways, it's visually appealing and I like how the plus sign takes you directly to current messages or to create a new one directly as well.
I'll see if any new messages appear on the widget since you say it doesn't show old messages
when I install the widget I can't send any messages in Hangouts anymore. It will just try and retry to send forever. Need to uninstall widget and reboot the phone to get it working again.

Maybe... The thing is I can't actually interface with hangouts so I would have to fake the input needed to send the message...

This app is completely independent from hangouts and uses notifications to get the messages, so it shouldn't alter your ability to send messages at all... It is more than likely just coincidence that it is working now and not then.

[Q] aosp messaging app

I got tired of confusion and sensless updates of hangouts. I have Nexus 5 stock with Xposed rooted. All I need is the old sms aosp app that would allow me to send/receive sms/mms and have the option to make text bigger because I have eye problems with small fonts. I installed this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.slvn.mms&hl=en from google play but it does not have the option to make text bigger.
Where can I find the apk or the app itself?
thanks a lot.
You can pull it from any AOSP ROM.

Maybe just me but since I had that option on default messaging app on slimkat I fell in love with that single option.

Missing Stock Weather Widget

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how to get back the stock weather widget? I see it under the apps but it does not show under the widget selection. I am not rooted , purely stock.
Edit : Can a Mod move this over to questions and answer please..
Are you sure you are searching it? It should be called Weather or whatever weather is called in you country in the widget section
Sent from my FRD-L09 using XDA Labs
It's in the Play Store actually. I just forgot the name.
It's probably missing from the firmware!

you might be 100% right because like I said before I have the actual app but don't have the widget for it. I really don't want to reflash a whole firmware just for the widget so I guess I'll use another weather widget.
Did you try an hard reset?
Sent from my FRD-L09 using XDA Labs
Do whatever please you
Got it back.. looks like after taking an update something happened, but I was able to disable the app a few times and it reappeared in the widget selections after restarting.
Thanks all for your assistance.
