[Q] Anyone with lost sound problems?

Hi guys,
I have this great phone for 3 days now and I have a big broblem. It's losing it's sound after some playing with apps and movies shot by camera. Movies would not play, just stay in black screen. At first I thought Talking Tom is causing this, because it was happening whenever i run it. Only full reboot was fixing the problem.Yesterday I did full factory reset with SD erase and set up my phone again with all e-mail accounts and apps, but NO TALKING TOM!
Today the problem appeared again after I was playing with camera and "Connected Media". No sound, movies do not play. On top of this I got a sudden phone restart !
I called HTC support, and after an hour explaining what my problem is they advised me to do a full reset again and NOT to install any apps from the market. I will use the phone for a day or two and see if it's app related issue....
Anyone having similar issues?

I'm having the same problem with my friend. bottom of the screen gets very hot. After 3 minutes the phone turns off the sound while playing the Tom Cat. turns off the phone during a conversation.

exactly! It's maybe app related...I'll report in a few days of testing...

After I've installed talking tomcat ( free version ) my sounds where gone.
After doing a factory reset everything went back to normal.

This has happened three times to me ..
Lost sound .. had to do a reset to fix the first and second time.
the third time .. i was able to fix it opening and closing / playing
with the sound Stuff..
Also Noticed the phone became un-responsive was very laggy.
This is a real problem ..
If it happens and you have all your stuff installed..

I am having the same problem with audio, sometimes I get it after playing angry birds, other times watching a video online. It has also made me late for work one day because I didn't realize the sound went out and never heard the alarm. I wonder if its a LOT of phones that have this problem.

The audio problems started happening to me too! The soound would cut out in the middle of watching a movie. Quite annoying,

So far I've only had audio problems whenever I launched the Talking Tom Cat, other apps I'm using aren't problematic.

I had sound go off during just normal use and very slow gps locks (10 minutes)
lost connection as well.

I don't have Tom cat installed but i put 4 films on my sensation and the sound will be ok for 1 and a half minutes but then it goes off u can skip to further in the film and it will work again for another minute and a half then go off again My alam has let me down a few times aswell . Not very happy

i am using TOM CAT on my sensation, but never faced such probl.

well the problem pertains to app related issue but there is work around install app name volume ace.. when ur fone sound dips down.... fire volume ace and look for sound bar...usually u'll fine system volume gone below 3. increase it via this app jst by simple slider and u r bk..... had this prob with desire hd and this app still works n holds gud...

I have same problem, It happens when I use talking tom for the second time without restarting. Then I have to restart my phone. I am using stock ROM !!

I dont think it is related but all of a sudden my alarms on my phone (alarm clock) dont make any sound I just get the vibration..... yes the ring volume is all the way up, yes it is checked to make alarm sounds while in silent mode, yes I have tried diffrent ringers.... the only thing I didnt try was rebooting the phone.

i have no sound in any rom.. it's been this way for a while.. i can hear through the ear piece but thats it.. i can't hear with headphones either...

Jelly Bean Issues

After updating from ICS to JB 2 months ago I constantly facing with different problems with. I was enjoying ICS and expected best experience from JB.
First of all I missed all of my media files from SD. I searched xda for answer and discovered same issues. All answers was, like, "delete .nomedia and/or wipe your device". I didn't have ANY .nomedia file on my SD. So, I forced to wipe all of my data, app settings, etc. and recover it again. F*ck, why I must format my phone to make it work properly? Sometimes I have known bug with stock launcher when it doesn't show any icons or render one icon to whole screen. Sometimes my device freezes and I only can reset it by ejecting battery. Very poor battery life. Several days ago my battery suddenly dropped to 0% from 60%! Look at pic in attachment.
But main problem with JB is performance. With ICS I hadn't any lags in simple games such as Cut the Rope, but in JB I often facing small freezes and lags that highly annoying. Sometimes one game running OK, but next time it very sluggish. I can't understand why. I constantly have ram issues. In ICS I saw stock launcher crash very rarely. But in JB after every Internet surfing or gaming I must wait to stock launcher load. More frequent is widget issues. When I press Home button I see that stock calendar widget blinking. That seems like it loading or reloading.
So, the main question is: what can I do with this? Is there any custom rom that hasn't this issues? Can I cut some JB features to increase it performance? Is there anyone that have same problems?

I'd already solve this problem with wiping, but I didn't touch any of my media files. I don't think this was caused by corrupted file.

Wipe is necessary when you flash a brand new rom. I've experienced the same issue upgrading to jb from ics, solved by doing a full wipe!

Of course I did this.
Also, sometimes I stuck with (bug?) android.server process consuming all CPU. Only phone restart helps.

I don't have a lot of complaints, and haven't had the same performance issues, though I don't do a lot of gaming. That's what the Nexus 7 is for.
The media scanner in Android sucks in my opinion, so if your files aren't showing up you may want to try running something like SDRescan. My music files (in Music directory on SD card) will show up as soon as I re-open Play Music.
You could try turning off Google Now if you haven't already. I did that and the battery seems to be a little better.

OP, I used to have the same problem and I could never find the .nomedia file. I had to delete ROM manager and its folder. After a full wipe and many tries, I got it to work. As for the launcher crashes, you might want to download an alternative from the play store. One that keeps it "in memory", that way it hardly crashes. I have Nova launcher and it happens frequently to where I switched to Apex haha.

[Q] Google Play Music JB bug

Hey guys I'm having an issue where if I play an album or playlist etc from the Play Music app it will stop playing after 2 or 3 songs, but when I look at the app it didnt switch to the next song, it just keeps the progress bar going on one song (like up to 7 or 8 mins etc on a 4 min song, and no audio obviously). It doesn't let me switch to the next song or pause or play anything, only a reboot fixes it. I am stock rooted right now, I recently did a full wipe with no restore of any backups or titantiun files, and am still having the issue. Any ideas how to fix this? My battery life has gotten much better since the recent full wipe restore, but this issue still persists (ive had it since i updated to JB and tried out a few roms (clean, executioner, jelly "beans")
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

As title speaks i have created this thread to discuss and post unfortunate complications faced by you on Xperial L C2104 with 15.0.A.1.131 firmware.. Post your irregular bugs.. Some of my friends and even me face serious bugs which are mentioned below
1. Statusbar flickers(ss attached on post #2)
2. Floating keys and statusbar goes off during any period of time (specially when stamina mode is activated)
3. Album bug- whenever we clean cache from any cache cleaner and open album it never loads pics(temp solution-clear data of album app)
4. Battery percentage disappears suddenly even when even though you have ticked % option in power management
5. Heavy ram usage(minor)
So this are the issues which are been faced by many in .131 firmware(Indian) C2104...and the bad news is sony still hasnt relased its official update for all this bug even after notifying them on sony talk forums

I never faced the so much.
1. No problem
2. what is floating key ?
3. Still no problem as cleared the cache now 2 check & albums loads up fine
4.never noticed so cant comment
5.RAM sometime is heavy as crap runs in background like maps sony deices & all.

Floating keys are the soft keys i.e back, home and multi-task!

1. No statusbar flickering so far.
2. Neither this
3. Didn't (never) use that app. I use QuickPic, which I find way better (It also has the option to password protect your images)
4. Not this either
5. How much RAM is shown free? My phone starts lagging sometimes, but that's almost always when facebook and/or FB Messenger are running in background. These apps use ~50-60MB each, and leave around 100MB free.
Also, I read that some people who had bugs tried resetting/repairing through PC companion, and either the bugs were gone or their frequency reduced.

Hi! I don't have these problems with my C2105.
But I got 2 freezes:
- one the first day I bought the phone. I was using it and when a message arrived, it restarted automatically.
- the second happened yesterday. I was using it and it restarted.
And sometimes Google Chrome seems to lag/freeze too.
With an everyday use and some games, RAM available for applucations is about 400M and about the half is occupied.

Yup!! I faced it twice after cleaning the app cache through ram booster, but mine is rooted so I disable the album app and reinstall the .apk from root folder.

Hi guys! I don't know if it's a bug but yesterday I flashed the .31 stock ROM on my C2105.
I remember that NFC was on when I bought the phone (the icon was in the status bar).
After having flashed my device NFC was on but there was no icon in the status bar.
Edit: I think it's ok for this
I have an other "problem": when I start my phone, files that are on the SD card load during a long time. However I have a 8Gb class 10 SD card which I purchased only for my Xperia. But after this long time of load, all works fine.
Is it the same for you?

5.No.ram usage is pretty good for me..
and there are more bugs to be solved..
6.phone freezes suddenly..i need to restart it to make it normal
7.Phone automatically restarts itself..don't know why.
8.Sometimes when i open the camera app..it says camera not available..again i need to restart the device.
If these issues are solved in .36 firmware..please anyone make a tft of .36 firmware..irritated to use my phone with these many bugs
and the camera quality is worst..& even video recording..my arc s had the best camera than this

facing the battery drain issue since 2 days..before i used to get amazing backup..it easily lasted 2 days with moderate usage..and 1 day with heavy usage(mostly games,maps) but now it is draining like hell...i'm hardly getting 7-8 hrs..android system and android os are on the top of battery stats..since i've bought this phone..these 2 had the top positions but the battery used to last long but now its draining quickly..can any one solve the problem

PC companion detection nd USB charging prob!
Here is a problem which i am facing. When i connect my XL ( c2104) to my laptop it does not recognise my phone.. the phone does not even charge and the PC companion does not detect my fone. I have tried all the USB ports.. other devices work well with the laptop.
This problem started suddenly.. i hav done everything it takes to solve the prob lyk restarting my phn , factory reset. but still the same problem is existing. even though the USB tethering works fine. please help!

[Q] Xperia L C204 New Firmware Bugs

I have C204 version and did the update.But i experiance a lot bugs.
1) DCIM/thumbnails folder in Internal memory(SDcard0) is being filled with cache file(with some .xyz extension) of 2 GB which is eating whole memory
2) When clicking the 'Transfer to SD card option' in 'storage' settings it shows 'Storage has suddenly stopped working' and goes back to settings again.
3) unlock screen flickers when using the Walkman app and dont unlock on one click.
4)Cannot see the default 'Clock' app in 'Daydream' in Display settings
Please reply anyone else also experiancing the same and does repairing it will remove them or not?
