Just a few quick specs and features before i get into my findings.
Specs:
- Capacity: 3000 mAh Performance for iPhones: 100% battery life
- Output: 5V / 1A;
- Size: 4.33" x 0.9" x 0.9"
- Weight: 3.07 oz.
- Warranty: 12 months
Features:
300 Mah battery charger
Hi - Beam flashlight
Low - Beam flashlight
Strobe mode
Removable clip
Observations:
- Both charging ports are on the bottom:
- Clip is removable if you don't like it.
- Glass of the front is flush. May cause scratching if placed face down
Pro:
- Despite being rated at 1A, my phone was charging at 1.9(Galaxy charge current) VERY impressed. (this was with included cable. VER high quality Micro USB)
- I feel that the design is very simple and gets the job done, it combines a power pack with a flashlight; with multiple modes so you do not need to use the one on your phone.
- The side is a little under 2 AA batteries and shorter than my standalone flashlight
- Auto on and off (Once a device is detected it will start charging and it will shutoff when it is unplugged) No more worrying about leaving it on.
Cons:
- No power status indicator. So you don't know how much juice you have left. I reached out the RavPower they told me that there was no way.
- Flash light button does not sit flush

This looks too much like generic chinese power banks with the RavPower branding.

Car & Desk docks - High quality aluminum & adjustable for larger batteries & cases
I use the car dock with my S3 and it's phenomenal. It also fits the Note II and Galaxy S4.
Easy to insert & remove the phone with just one hand. Great construction and total flexibility. It's more $ than most docks, but seeing as you can use it with almost any phone, it will pay itself back over time. :good:
You can find it for sale here:

Yesterday I installed my new CraigsDocks dock for my AT&T Galaxy S3.
I give it two :good: :good: up.
I created a DIY USB-OTG with power cable.
So the phone gets dropped into the dock.
It goes into dock mode automatically.
This USB-OTG cable bypasses the internal crappy DAC and sends digital audio out to my Behringer UCA202 DAC.
Which then sends the converted analog signal to my car stereo.
Here's my review/how-to on the whole DAC to Car Stereo thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033527
The dock is much smaller in profile than my iBOLT dock. And also easier to put the phone in and remove it from the dock.
It's also more heavy duty and looks pretty good.
My DIY cable of course, detracts from the looks. But it's not too bad.
The dock is very sturdy. I can easily put the phone in one handed. It just slides right into the USB-OTG connector.

Almost every phone contains a little bit of hardware that can measure the current flow into or out of your battery, in mA or µA. We track this data continuously, but also segment it by screen state (on vs off) and which app was in the foreground. With this data, you can see clearly how your battery was used.
Battery life is probably the most common concern for smartphone users: some are finding it hard to get through a full day on a single charge, others find that after a year or so of use, their battery drains much faster than before, and the issues just keep lining up.
AccuBattery is a relatively new battery life monitor for Android devices (it supports the latest Samsung Galaxy S7s, Google Pixels, and so on) that focuses on accurate battery stats, but also on a research-based suggestion to avoid fully charging your battery.
AccuBattery allows you to set alarm that you actually charge your battery to 80%(Can be modified) and comes with clever tools to let you know when you've reached that level, so that you can unplug. This way, you can get the full 500 cycles(More than 1000, if you charge from 30 to 80 ) out of your battery, until you start to see a noticeable drop in battery life.
I still have my two year old Z2. It still holds battery like a new phone( with slight less capacity due to heat generated due to flashing roms). I used to charge my phone between 25%-80%.

Press thanks if I've helped you!!:fingers-crossed:
Inspired by AccuBattery I have created a raspberry pi 3 image which can stop charging your phone automatically after it reaches a certain percentage. Works on non-rooted phones.

Looks very nice!

Moto g (xt1033) [ fix dead battery ]

Hi, I have a MOTO G XT1033 with a dead battery (when connecting to the charger or usb only if you have a white led on). The solution is very simple and I discovered by chance a few days ago after buying one with the described defect.
[TOOLS NEEDED]
- Original samsung or lg or motorola charger
- Nokia Battery 3.7 (loaded)
[DEAD BATTERY SOLUTION]
1 - open the cell phone
2 - remove the original battery
3 - Near the battery connection there are four unprotected soldering pins
4 - solder a positive*(1) wire and a negative*(GND) wire. (Picture below)

}
5 - then connect the soldered wires to the Nokia battery
6 - turn on the phone, you will see that the device will turn on normally, wait for it to turn on, then turn it off normally ..
7 - Here is the secret, after the test in step 6, with the device turned off and the battery connected in it (nokia). Connect your device and quickly connect the device's original battery (MOTOROLA BATTERY). Wait for the machine to turn on. It will connect with 1% battery, quickly connect the charger and wait 5 minutes. Is enough for the original battery to pick up a 3% charge, but it will still show 1% on the screen.
8 - do step 7, turn off the device normally, remove the motorola battery and the nokia battery, then turn on the motorola normally and turn on the unit and plug in the charger, ready, your motorola is alive again!
Sorry my english, I'm newbie!
hi, it works also on xt1032? Could you give exactly the P/N of Nokia battery used?

In fact I was looking for an app that just avoids me to go through the whole menu (settings > battery > wireless quick charge/cable charge) each time I want to change the charging mode of my Galaxy S7 from normal to quick charge (cable or wireless mode), Does this just do that, and is it avoiding this and does it indicate on the homescreen in which mode it is set ?
