Hi!I see many people make the rumor updates for 2012 Xperias.
Are the updates confirmed Q2?
Also Sony Xperia J will eat new Jelly Bean.

Most probably Xperia J will remain at Android 4.1. Sony never update budget phones beyond.

It would be great if there is a fix on walkman volume and ringtone problem, i just started hating my xperia J after jb update..

Today I received an update but its a normal one to the same version..

Is the new update for Xperia J ready???
What if xperia get the latest updates to firmware 4.2 Jelly Bean??? Maybe I will feel very happy to...........:silly: :laugh:

Only bug fixes. Do not expect new UI and features.

Bug Fixes? Many many.Album cannot open globe just one bug.

That's proven to be wrong. Sony AR even edited the post you linked to show it was 4.2.2, which we got.

Official android 4.2 rolled out for xperia l yesterday at 9:40 pm
Some notable features
*Camera improved burst fire mode available.
*new ui gives better touch experience.
*new Walkman and new albums app updated.
*lockscreen like 4.2.2 official
*new app drawer button(ididnt like it)
*new tool bar at apps view
*brightness and enhanced color
*new keyboard better
Android 4.2.2 obvious
*xperia prestige pre installed
*touch drivers updated
*daydream.
*overall good
Bugs or faults
*multi touch issues.
*touch problems sometimes lags which didn't happen in 4.1
*battery used up little quickly
*getting fc at some Google.Inc apps like wallet ,Google +,photos
*in burst mode frame is too slow
*finding yet will upload soon

Phone lags alot in this update..it did not happnd in 4.1.2..
Sometimes it automatically gets restarted..

It needs to be released on your phone if you want to update it or you need to flash a 4.4 custom rom.

Wait till anybody port kitkat rom for ur device.Or ur brand must leave it.

Tamsui11 are doing their best to get rid of bugs and they will release cm11 when it will be stable and without bugs.

Xperia L won't get Kitkat

i just read that our device can't taste kitkat officialy from sony. even sp tooo.. may be sony will give us a 4.3 update. anyways am looking forward to CM rom.

Meh, everyone knew how small the chance is for XL to be updated to 4.4. At least we'll get 4.3, hopefully.

I've read that Kitkat is so close to be finished by Cyanogenmod. :victory: I'm so looking forward to release.
Sony will never give us Kitkat officialy.. (in my opinion).

But it isn't official yet, I'll just waiting for official Sony Mobile and Sony Developers statements...

Yes, but if you want to you can unlock it. It isn't hard. I 've seen here topic how to do it somewhere. But some of XL cannot be unlocked thats true. We'll see

When an official cm comes no one would care about buggy updates from sony.. Seriously i don't want my proximity sensor to be turned on always..Sony makes us users or testers!???what abt u ppl?

yes sony very stingy to update the device that may be considered "cheap" or "old".
They only make upgrade for "Expensive" devices like xperia Z Family.
