Lots IMEI Number (and everything that goes with it) - General Topics

It's an LG Revolution that is my buddies back up phone til he gets his replacement, and we flashed a nandroid on it got boot-looped, fixed that, re flashed Broken-out ROM, and yea doesn't recognize sim card (tried taking that out while it was off letting it charge up and sit for a bit, and then put it back in and boot up, still nothing) I am out of ideas, I am good with roms and kernels, but not with this stuff. Any ideas.

May be obvious, but try cleaning the contacts of the SIM card and the SIM connector on the phone? I had encountered this before and sometimes after a few removal and re-insertion of the SIM card, it worked (removal and re-insertion of SIM card sort of cleans and polishes the contacts.)

[Q] zenROM no SIM card

I'm using zenROM and last night my phone suddenly rebooted and when it booted, it didn't ask pin. I shut down my phone and took sim off and put it back and rebooted again, this time it asked my pin, but still says no sim detected. I took my sim off again and put it back and rebooted. No Sim detected. Finally after 7 or 8 reboots it detected my sim.
So where is the problem? This has never happened before
I don't think the 2 issues are related.
Why are you removing your sim card? I haven't ever removed mine since I put it in. Hopefully it is seated properly now and you won't see that issue again.
As far as reboots, that is life with alpha and beta version roms. Blame HTC for not giving the updates to our device for the developers to have a more stable ROM. You could try reinstalling the ROM or trying a different one.

Phone does not detect sim card

Hello all!
At first I wanted to apologize for my English, I will try to write everything clearly.
Recently I replaced display with digitizer on my sensation, I installed 3.1.1 ROM ViperS. Phone worked well for several days. Today, in the middle of the day I noticed that the phone does not detect the SIM card. Strange in all this is that when I reset my phone the SIM card works for a while and then back to "disconnect". I tried to upload the rom again (ViperS 3.1.1) and nothing has changed, I tried also with another rom (Revolution HD with firmware 7.3) and still the same. Other sim cards do not change. Any ideas what is this?
EDIT: The sim card slot gets warm when it is still working i think that. I think this is not normal. When wait a few minutes I can turn on airplane mode and then turn off after that procedure phone detect sim card for a while.

Verizon s3 SIM and SD card Failure

So, my mom's phone started acting up yesterday.. and a few months before...
Long Story:
A few months back, I noticed that my old s3(my mom took it, she liked it a lot) didn't recognize the SD card. I didn't think much of it(it was long out of warranty both ways). It didn't matter much either since I had everything backed up and my mom had only 3-4 apps. Lately, she was saying that it ran slow, and today, she said the phone would restart. I did not see it until 3 hours later. The warning said the SIM card was undetected and it rebooted. I took the battery, SD, and SIM out. I tested the SIM in my s4(which reads a 16 gig SD fine) and it didn't see anything. I assume that either A) it died or B) the phone somehow killed it. I cleaned all of the ports with some compressed air and put everything back in. Now, I cleared the cache and did a odin back to NE1 as well. So far, no issues, but I'm still worried. What is causing this?
TL;DR: Phone does not like the SIM and SD card all of a sudden.

SIM not recognized after water ingress / radio off

I few days ago water came in my phone (Jiayu F2). I dried it and everything works fine except it won't recognize SIM card (doesn't matter which slot). SIM card is ok, works fine in another phone.
I opened 'secret menu' with *#*#4636#*#* but radio is off and can't be turned on. I also opened phone apart and didn't notice any appearant damage although that doesn't mean much. I also reflashed a couple of different ROMs without success.
I'm stuck now and don't know what else I could try. Is phone radio fried and all I have now is small tablet?

Sim card module not working anymore after water contact

Hi there,
I did something stupid in the last vacation. When I took some photos of my son in the swimming pool, my phone slithered out of my hands directly into the pool. As fast as I could, I caught it out of the water. At this point the device was already shut down.
Unfortunately there were no suitable tools available to open the screws. So I removed only the hardcover and the battery, but were not able to unplug the battery.
After 4 or 5 days I tried to restart the device. The battery was a 0%. After some recharging I was able to restart it. Everything seemed to work fine except one thing:
The sim card wasn't recognized. when I booted the device. If the device is running and I remove and re-insert the the sim card, the pin dialogue appears and afterwards, the phone symbol is shown in the head bar but without receiving any signal. The device isn't able to connect to any provider. After rebooting the device the sim card isn't recognized anymore.
The sim card works in any other mobile phone. And also a different sim card doesn't work in my phone. Therefore I'm sure the sim card module has been broken.
Is there anything I can do to fix the device?
Yes there are videos on YouTube on how to fix your sim slot, its not to difficult you need a soldering iron though. I've changed the sim slot out on a note 3 and it took about 10 minutes, you can try leaving the phone in a bag of rice it's possible there is still moisture inside the phone causing issues try that first.

Thanks. I've already found some Youtube-guides how to replace it. But I'm still hesitating. If it's really the slot or if have been broken something different inside the electronical logic. Means: it would be annoying to change the slot and the problem remains.
Is there any chance to test this?
