You have windows? 8? You need to open a command prompt from the folder containing adb and fastboot.exe. Type commands in that command prompt window.

[Q] AP Fastboot Flash Mode (s) -version droid razr HD

I've rooted, and unbricked so many devices, but I'm having problems with this one. I successfully rooted the device, but when I tried to Flash 4.2.2, but it didn't work properly. Right now, I can get into the Android system recovery, but the screen the phone normally boots to says the below.
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (s)
10.9B(*) (sha-1e9f557, 2013-02-14 09:13:08)
eMMC Info: Size 16GB
Device is Locked. Status Code:0
Battary Ok
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
usb disconnected
isb connected
for the below steps, I used the apply updaye from external storage option on Android system recovery.
When I try to flash Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip, it Says Installation aborted after verifying update package. The same thing happens when I try to flash Slim-xt926-4.2.2.build.5.6-UNOFFICIAL-20130521-0436.zip
when I try flashing Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip, it says assert failed: file_getprop("/system/build.prop". "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/XT926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.1/9.8.1Q_39/41:user/release-keys" || file_getprop("/system/build.prop". "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/XT926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.1/9.8.1Q-62_VQW_MR-2/6:user/release-keys"
So I can boot into the Android system rocovery, and boot mode selection menu(10.98)
on the boot mode selection menu, the only option that doesnt make my phone go into AP Fastboot Flash Mode, is the recovery option, and when I go into the recovery option, I get the android with the Exclamation mark, from there is how I get to the android system recovery.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I am assuming it will involve ADB, but I cannot do any ADB commands, because my device is not found when I do ADB remount, or ADB devices
You have to unlock your bootloader and install clockwork mod to install custom roms.

Tried to install clockwork mod via Rom Manager, but it was it wasn't available for the droid hd. I had the phone rooted, and had safestrap installed. and I can't unlock the device on the motorola site anymore, because I can't get my phone to boot properly.
Well that's not how to do any of that. Definitely not safestrap. Pretty sure there's a utility in the development section that will do it all for you. I'd tell you the fastboot ways but it's probably over your head.

I've tried the droid razr utility, and that didn't work for me either. Kept getting errors. I'll see what I can do with this toolkit, and let you know how it goes.

I cannot install CWM it says invalid image size for partition recovery. and it still says the device is locked, after I unlocked it.
Are you sure it says status code unlocked? Are you rooted?
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
it says fastboot oem unlock punlock code]
OKAY [.023s]
finished. total time : .026s
*BOOTLOADER UNLOCK*
press any key to continue.
That's what it says after I enter in the unlock code I got from Generating unlock code OEM. I got a really long string of characters for the unlock code, and there are 4 parts seperated by '#' so I tried each part as the code, because I have never done this before, and when I did the whole string, it was a max of 64 characters, so that's why I started trying it by parts seperated by the '#'. and Yes it is rooted, because when I tried to do the root option, it said it was already rooted.
Unlocking your bootloader has nothing to do with entering numbers on your phone. And to check if your unlocked just go to the fastboot screen and see what status code it gives you.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
the status code is 0. What option am I supposed to be using? the drivers are up to date, Still can't install recovery, I have root access, didn't touch the install modem (radio).
Does it say device unlocked? Status code 0 is usually locked. 3 Is unlocked.

No, it's still locked, and I don't know how to unlock it from this screen.
You just run the unlock bootloader procedure.

That's what I did. I did option 2, for unlock bootloader, than I get 1. reboot fastboot 2. Generate unlock code OEM 3. login to website to continue with unlocking 4. Unlock using unlock code I did option 2, and got the unlock code, than did option 4, and used the unlock code it generated.

followed the instructions on that site, and it said "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking."
You can't do it online. You have to do it with the 3rd party tool.

SO What did I do wrong? I generated the unlock OEM code, than I selected the Option to Unlock using unlock code. when I did the generate unlock OEM code, it gave me a long numer like the one on that site, but when I use that number as the unlock code, it says it's to long, and it can be at max 64 characters.
Once again there's no numbers involved man. Your trying to do the official unlock. Use the link I just posted.

Oh and due to honor 6x processor, nothing we can expect
Answer: How to root Honor 6x
WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE, YOU ARE THE ONE MAKING CHANGES, NOT ME.
I have rooted and flashed TWRP 3.10 on my Honor 6x BLN-24 with Android 7.0 Beta. Theres a new update 360 and 361 but when I try updating it just takes me to TWRP and gives me an error.
Downloads:
Adb & FastBoot - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Chinese Honor/Huawei program-
TWRP:https://dl.twrp.me/berlin/twrp-3.1.0-0-berlin.img.html (DOWNLOAD 3.1.0)
SuperSU:
How I did it: ( Assuming you know how to unlock your bootloader)
Plug your phone into your pc
tap build number 7 times (developer options)
enable USB debugging and Oem unlock.
(check if your device is connected) type adb devices in cmd
Get bootloader unlock code from Huawei/honor's website
Install Adb and fastboot (just press Y for all)
Use Adb to unlock bootloader with fastboot oem unlock (unlock code) in cmd
then do fastboot reboot in cmd
during reboot, device will factory reset.
setup phone quickly and turn on developer options again, this time oem unlock will be locked enabled, enable usb debugging and wait for the phone to connect to pc.
now, type adb reboot bootloader in cmd (this will bring you to fastboot/bootloader
now to flash (assuming you have twrp downloaded.) type fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.0-0-berlin.img in cmd
type fastboot reboot in cmd, and you're done with TWRP.
Done! With TWRP atleast. Restart your phone, download latest SuperSU, then in cmd (still plugged in your phone) type adb reboot recovery
then you are in TWRP! I hope you know how to flash SuperSU in TWRP because I'm not helping you with that.
Good Luck!
Oem unlocking has greyed out after officially updated to emui 5.0
I have officially updated to 7.0 Android i.e emui 5.0 before update i was using marshmallow that time i have unlocked bootloader as well as i have installed twrp recovery and rooted then i have got official nought updatr emui 5.0 i have updated then supersu says uh have to again root your device then i tried root but when i goes to developer option their oem unlocking option is Grey out it is unclickable

[UNTESTED] Bootloader Unlock On Nokia 5.1 Plus

Hey guys,
I think I found a way to unlock the bootloader on the Nokia 5.1 Plus. I didn't do it yet, but can someone please try it and see if it works?
Instructions:
1. Boot into recovery. I made a guide on how to do that in case you don't know how. Here's the link:https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x5/how-to/guide-how-to-access-recovery-global-t4054561
2. Select reboot to bootloader.
3. Run fastboot oem unlock from adb terminal and see if anything happens.
PS. Running adb reboot fastboot from pc doesn't work-the phone just restarts-but rebooting to bootloader option from recovery actually gets it to fastboot mode.
If it works please tell me in a reply.

Hey don't post guides for other if you don't know what it means, You will get other people phones bricked.
FYI Nokia phones requires permission to unlock bootloader.
adb oem unlock doesn't work now a days for most of the phones as you know many companies has made rooting and changing roms difficult. (excluding OnePlus and Pixel).

For me it gave an error (FAILED (remote: unknown command)), where
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
gave me an error on the device asking me if I wanted to unlock flashing or to cancel. I don't know if this helps anyone anything but it seems to have worked because if I run
Code:
fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability
I get the message (bootloader) unlock_ability = 1

Fastboot access denied

I posted this in the appropriate forum but this phone is so old I've not received any response.
So I've decided to root and customize my Z2 Force and want to unlock the bootloader to get TWRP installed. All device side settings are correct (USB Debug, OEM unlock etc.) in developer mode. ADB commands are working fine as I can see my SN when using ADB Devices command. I then reboot to the bootloader through ADB (adb reboot bootloader) and it works fine and my Z2 boots into the bootloader. Then I try to get the unlock code (fastboot oem unlock) and I get a message after trying to run the command: access denied. I started my CMD window using run as admin - no help. Installed ADB all over again with new generic drivers and moto drivers - no help. Even installed everything in the root directory on my hard drive - no help
I don't understand why I'm getting this message. I've unlocked and rooted all my phones over the years but they've all been HTC. Never messed with a moto phone before. Anyone think this is a permalocked bootloader version - MODEL:XT1789-04 TYPE:M29E2
Things I have not tried yet:
Another computer
Tested fastboot command on one of my other phones
Any help is appreciated.

The process to unlock a moto phone is a bit different. OEM commands are as it says, defined by the OEM. They need to be precise and functional. The command:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
alone will not work.
Step1:
Instead, You should enter:
Code:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
You will get an unique 131 ID string that looks for example like this:
Code:
(bootloader) 0000000000000000000000000000001
(bootloader) 0000000000000000000000000000002
(bootloader) 0000000000000000000000000000003
(bootloader) 0000000000000000000000000000004
(bootloader) 0000005
Copy the output to a text editor and delete the (bootloader) and the spaces in between, so it's one whole string.
Step2:
Visit the official Moto unlock website. Sign-in with your account, you will be using the E-mail used to create said account to receive the unlock key. Paste the edited 131 ID string and click Can my device be unlocked? button. If it is unlockable, then a conformation page will appear asking for consent and warranty bla bla bla.... Just read it and accept.
Step3:
When you click unlock, you will receive a KEY through your E-mail attached to the moto account used. Save that E-mail somewhere offline, as it can be used to re-unlock the bootloader in the future if you relock it. Connect your device in fastboot again and type:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock KEY
Where KEY is the one you got in the E-mail.
Done!!! Enjoy your freedom , also check the mark near my answer if it solved your question so others don't have to search for long.
Thanks for your reply. Yes I wrote the fastboot command wrong in my post.
The problem I'm having is even when using the fastboot command you posted I still get "access denied" when using fastboot commands. ADB works fine allowing me to reboot into the bootloader through the command prompt/USB as in ADB devices.

As long as in Android -> Settings -> Developer options the option "OEM unlock" isn't got enabled - and phone got rebooted afterwards - you receive the reported error.
OEM unlocking is turned on in developer settings
I'll post up some screenshots soon. Right now I'm on day three of work on the 12 hour night shift.

I don't know if you are still interested in accessing Fastboot but you can access it using a specific firmware version.
Still, let me tell you that unlocking the bootloader is virtually impossible. Since the well-known generic method doesn't work for the SoC SC9863A, you need to have a special Fastboot's program version and a dedicated private key that only they provide.... and I emphasize the word "dedicated" since apparently ZTE did not use a generic key to sign their ROMS. At least on this device.
Unless they decide to release the key or give support to unlocking the bootloader, all we can do is wait for them to change their minds. Because they don't want to provide it. I know because I tried to order it several times.
