[Q] 32GB version battery - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked alot of places but does anyone know if there is any difference, I should be concerned about with the extended battery in the 32gb nexus 5 before I buy a case?

Same size as the 16GB.

What extended battery?
Are you talking about a rumour someone made up but didn't eventuate? And because it is not real, you can't find any information about it?

1400mAh battery for Qtek 2020/xda 2

hi,
i visited this link and saw the 1400mAh battery or the Qtek 2020, wanted to know, if anyone has used this, and if so, how reliable is it, and how much is the increase in battery power ?
http://www.bluetrade.fr/achat/produit_details.php?id=75540
Thanks
mani
I have it
I have had it for some while now. It certainly works ok, but as normal when you have the other one in the charger you do not remember if it last longer than the original one. If I had been a scientist I would have tried out how many minutes of music it lasted compared to the original but I am not.
I'm thinking of getting one as well.
Way cheaper on ebay - about $20US

Where on ebay have you seen them for that price? I can't find any!

Thanks Dyntak!
Have ordered 2
Any chance you can do a test to compare results against the standard 1200mAh version?
Also, could you let us know what ROM version you're running for the test as that will make a difference too.
Thanks!
Any updates
Any one have any updates on the 1400mah vs 1200mah battery?
You can get 2400mAh batteries if you don't mind the extra bulge in the back.

Seidio Extended Battery

Hi.. this is for sale on Ebay. What you think, worth to buy?
Its a Seidio 1600 ma battery that fits in without new back cover... £28...
###Edit### I checked Seidio's website and theres no battery for Desire... so this must be for Nexus One. Just wonder they really are 100% compatible? ##
T-mobile promised to send me a new one, but they are out of stock so they refunded my accounr with £20 to buy one on my own. Not sure if this one is good/safe etc...(?)
Thanks

Seems good 'on paper'. But I never understood why a phone's manufacturer wouldn't supply a device with the highest capacity possible (with the same size) unless it had 'adverse' effects on something, no matter how small.

Keep cost down, like not providing a case or docking station.
Just wonder how much more would the +200 mah do. Seidio seems to be a known brand though - also if it is for Nexus - is it really the same battery?
It does look as though the battery for the Desire is the same as for the Nexus One. Both seem to quote part number BA S410 tor the standard battery.
Tested it - I tried the Seidio Nexus One in the Desire and it works perfectly.
So whats the battery life like then? Is a 14% increase going to be noticed?
What would be great is two batteries in parallel covered by a skin with no back plate!

TBH id want one of these

Wow seems like the 3200 has amazing battery life but everyone is complaining about the back cover.
Im sure this would work fine in the desire - just need a skin which will cover it without the backplate on at all but with lens cover and we are all sorted!
you know what?? i need clarity on extended life battery so bear with me. Does this go ontop of normal battery hence doubling life. or is it just a bigger capacity replacement battery so longer battery.
Sorry i just needed a bit of clarity
it has the same width/height as standard battery (fits in slot) but double the thickness almost like to stacked on top of each other in parellel. That means the original backing plate wont fit on anymore so they supply a replacement.
Checkout the video from the nexus one forum

[Q] Replacement Battery for Nexus 5??

So we saw how good the repairability of the nexus 5 is, so right off the bat I was considering buying a replacement battery if there was someone who could offer one that was a little higher capacity.
I just found this: http://www.smavtronics.com/3000mah-bl-t7-li-polymer-battery-for-lg-nexus-5-32gb-optimus-g2.html?gclid=CKiN9L34_boCFRGBfgodKGQA3w
But do you guys think this thing will fit?? It says its compatible with both the nexus 5 and the G2, which I thought I had already heard the G2's battery is definitely different.
I believe the model for the Nexus 5 is BL-T9 and this one says it is BL-T7
There is also this one which seems to be the proper one, but same size capacity: http://www.parts4repair.com/bl-t9-battery-for-lg-nexus-5/?ref=lexity&_vs=google&_vm=productsearch&adtype=pla&gclid=CMiq67j5_boCFYt_QgodhDIAVA

Nexus 5 Battery Replacement
Hi,
Did you find the answer to your query above? I have exactly the same requirement (of replacing the nexus 5 battery with a more powerful one, without impacting the handset's hardware)
Regards,

based on another thread the G2 and N5 batteries are not the same dimensions

The nexus 5 does not have a standard battery set up. Its another unibody type of battery. The battery uses a flex cable. This poses a danger to those looking to replace it with a high capacity battery. More capacity should equal bigger battery. If LG thought they could safely insert a 2800mah battery. They would have. LG doesn't say. " hey let's make this baby die quickly" it is in their best interest to give you the best they can. With fast charging and wireless charging and mods that make the charge speed even faster. A higher capacity could be potentially dangerous. Be safe. Buy official parts. An 18 year old girl suffered 3rd degree burns from an after market battery when it exploded in pocket. This was on a gs3. A device with open access to the battery.

Mbuynow 6400mAh battery - worth it?

Apologies if this has been asked millions of times before but are these expandable batteries worth the price and will it give me a big increase in battery life?
Specifically, I'm looking at the Mbuynow 6400mAh battery for my S4. The price seems fair but with all these third party batteries, are they what they say they are? I've heard good things about Mbuynow but wanted to be sure. Has anybody bought this specific or a chinese similar 6400mAh battery and have seen an increase in battery life?

Likewise. There are so many different so called "extended" batteries out there. It'd be good to know if these ones are any good. They're pretty cheap though which makes me doubt their quality. If someone has experience with them please let us know.

Yeah the price is fairly cheap for what is named an "expandable battery". The size is somewhat proof that it could possibly be that size but then again it could be a 5000mAh.
There is this review that uses a 3900mAh version and quite slim but specifically I am wanting to know about their 6400 version.

I've bit the bullet and ordered one from their online store. Cheaper than most places on eBay and direct from the manafactre.
I'll post a review when it comes and give an idea whether it will be worth it.

Yea let us know maybe after you've tried it for a day or two so you know how it's holding out

fake. likely under 5000 mAh. if even that. the best battery makers can only squeeze 5200mAh into a batt that size. what makes you think someone can do better for a fraction of the cost?
Wow , Anyone Try buy ????

But that battery is bigger than standard but smaller than the ZL 7500 etc so why isn't it possible? It is between both and as such the size kinda makes sense. That being said yes the price is very cheap hence our doubts, even if you find it is only 5000 that's still a lot more than the standard battery for very little money.
It will be interesting to see what is reported back

What I'll do is a factory reset. This way there are no apps and the phone is at a stock level. Plus the battery stats will have reset too. Give us a few days and I'll be happy to review it

That looks like a good option for those who want extra power but not so much added bulk. Anyway anyone tried it yet or going to try it? Another one that would be worth hearing about.
Just a question
I bought this Mbuynow 6400 mAh battery for my s4, I have cm12 optimized ROM. (5.1.1) . It seems the phone recognised as 2650mAh, and let me a day active usage only. In the Stweaks option I changed the charging power to 1900mAh... The charging time is about 4 hours.
Its still on 24 hours usage time.
Question: Is it the max lifetime of this battery? Or needs manual calibration?
If anyone can help me please...
my usage with 7500mah
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67860445&postcount=76
buy zerolemon 7500mah
I currently use this battery and I can say that it is very very good considering the price. I can charge my phone and use it at medium to maximum usage and forget about charging for the next 2 days. on average I get 9+ hr sot

Are These Battery's Legit? And Will They Work With i337?

I found two battery's on ebay both of the highest capacity's without getting a bigger external back cover, has anyone tried these or willing to try? the one that seems the most legit to me is the red one but would the gray and blue one still work on i337?

Interested to see how these compare to the 2600mah stock battery
P.S: yes we all know that most of these "fake" ebay batteries are similar/lesser in endurance compared to the smaller stock battery - but a comparison between the two (from buyers) is still helpful in determining whether to buy this as a cheap spare, etc.

The gold ones are fake for sure I tried one with my s2 said it was a 2500mah but it would have been lucky to hit half that. The others look too good to be true though haha shame they dont ship to new zealand to test.

answers here: similar to stock 2600mah battery (also slightly thicker and "barely fits")
so not worth it unless you just want a spare for long travels etc
