just rooted and installed inspire revolution hd rom on my new inspire phone using ace-hack-kit-v9 and my phone has no sound. I followed the both part 1 and 2 of the video tutorial from start to finish. After the rom installation, I try to change the sound and nothing. Please help.
Download another ROM and flash it through Recovery. My personal preference is AndroidRevolution .Your sound will be fixed.

did you flash the radio back? Its probably just a bad flash. Make sure you wipe everything. Dalvik, Card Partition, Data factory reset them flash.

I flashed another rom (inspired-dhd-afr003 rom) and the sound started to work again (although still very shrill and small) but then the gmail started to force close. I went back and flashed the Revolution rom with the stock inspire kernal and no sound again. I reflash a new rom and now everything is working fine. My Inspire has a great connection to the net (3.7 mbit down and 1.7 mbit up) and stable. Only thing is now my voice dial on bluetooth doesn't work (maybe because of the downgrade?) but I don't miss it very much because it didn't work on my Capitvate even after the floyo upgrade.

I had some issues where I had no sound even after flashing a ROM on multiple times. What solved everything for me was downloading and flashing CoreDroid through ROM Manager, rebooting, then flashing the CoreDroid update through ROM Manager.
My best guess is the original version of CoreDroid I flashed did not include the Inspire sound fix, whereas the update specifically said Inspire support was included.
Cordroid will have voice dial working and there is a patch for Revolution to make it work. You may have a Radio issue, what radio are you using?

Right now I'm using 12.41.60.19_26.06.04.14M and getting around 1 and 3mb/s down, and a little lower than that up. I'm wondering if that is the best radio for me, but still am pretty clueless on the version and band numbers. This is in the South Florida area, if it makes a difference.
Edit: I just did another speed test and came back with about 4mb/s down. I'm thinking I'm only limited by the network now.
Flashed to stock, now any ROM/stock won't make a call "Call Ended", receive okay?
I've been playing around with ROMs tonight and went back to stock Eclair and flashed to GR-12 and noticed I couldn't make calls but could receive.
Flashed back to Eclair, then to a Froyo known working ROM and it couldn't send calls either.
What's wrong?? 3G/Internet works fine as does SMS and receving calls but I can't send

Something wrong with the modem, rom or your mix. Flash back with a One-click stock 2.2 and test again.
I rooted my g2x and installed the stock rooted rom 2.3.3, and when i call or receive a call, their is this loud popping/cracking/buzzing/hissing sound that interferes with my calls, i tried reinstalling the rom, going to cyanogen mod 7, the only fix i found was going back to my nandroid after i rooted my rom, im stumped, i want to use cyanogenmod7 but i need my phone to be a phone before anything else, can anyone help me out?

What baseband are you on? (check in Settings -> About Phone)
If you are on the Mar 11 2012 baseband, you can only run the stock 2.3.4-based ROM.
Ok so i recently decided to switch back to gingerbread after being on ics for a while and i chose today to flash cyanogenmod 7.2 stable. I flashed it and everything is peachy, but i cannot hear anything while in a call. No ringing and no voice from the other person on the phone. I know it isnt a bad download because i checked the md5 before i flashed. Is this a normal bug? Is there an easy fix? Any help would be appreciated because i would rather not re-set up my phone after a re-flash. Thanks guys.
I had the same problem when i flashed the last 2 nightlys. I thought it was the baseband because i was still using the old one. So i went back to stock GB, used the LG tool to get the new baseband and everything is working fine now. Only probelm is im still trying to root it, which i know isnt hard but for some reason its not working -_-
