I tried that and didn't work!
I tried factory resetting too but got no solution for this bug.
hmmm....
If u get/make a call and if it ends before u press end call button then sensor stays on . sony probably forgot to code that .
we need to wait for a official/unofficial patch until then we need to call someone back and press end call to save battery....
I hope the sensor can't get damaged when it stays on all the time.
Maybe somebody can fix it with an Xposed - module or something like that?

Try out this app:
Proximity Sensor Calibration
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.zte.ProximeitySensorClib . This tool calibrates the proximity sensor by one click.

I'll try it if I have a little bit more time. The mobile is completely configured. It costs a lot of time to reinstall... Ty anyway.
Don't you have the bug? Have you updated via SUS?

Same here. BAck to less buggy one
Best solution!!
I seem to have a solution for the proximity sensor staying on after missed calls! call the same number back you don't need to actually call, disconnect it as soon as it starts calling.
Let me know if it works for you guys!
You people NEED to learn how to search ! That bug is resolved.

Thank you for porting a Slimkat ROM to Xperia L.
I am surely trying this and will soon report all problems etc.
And a big hearty thanks man
And one suggestion , Sony has released an open source archive of 15.3.A.1.16 use that kernel source , and that will solve many bugs in the device tree

15.3.A.1.16 archive is same as that of 15.3.A.1.12 and it won't fix any bugs in device tree. -_-

No worries, the kernel will be changed in the next update. But as stated in the OP - you can use the ThunderZap kernel for now.

Since I upgraded to 4.4.4 on my Z my contact photos does not appear on my SW2 (in phone app and calls). Anybody with the same problem?
You should try to reinstall phone app for SW2 so that images can be reorganized. This worked for me.

Nothing happened! I have uninstalled and re-installed everything but still the same issue... it happened since the 4.4.4 update on my Xperia Z!
I have exactly the same situation (Xperia Z Ultra, 4.4.4). No way to have them back...
I wonder what the **** is Sony's programmers do before releasing an update... any testing on their own accessories??!!
After the latest 292 update the problem still exists!
today there was a new version of contact Call handling smart extension on Google play and as soon as I installed it the contact photo bug dissapeared. the watch now displays all contact photos
