Is it possible to somehow port or make 4.4 GAPPS work on a 4.3 ROM?
Also, if the dialer app can be installed as an APK or installed through a similar package.
P.S. Sorry if I have put the question in the wrong category. Couldn't figure it out.

Ok so I got the lenovo s880i googlefied. All is syncing and I have cleaned all the crap from lenovo on it. Now, I have some more questions : How can I find the system APK for system languages? I wang to add some european languages. It is android 4.0.4 ICS. I installed GO desktop too, wich is a way better launcher/desktop than the crap lebovo default. How can I make it the default system launcher ? Will it work if I just place the apk in to system/app and erase the original desktop? Or should I link it to the system somehow? Then finally I would like to replace the stock phone dial module for the original ICS one. Is that possible or it's a compiled part instead of an apk?

For the system apk's why don't you try with titanium backup, it has this as a feature, it works fine (tried only twice, with no issues whatsoever )

Hey thanks to those responding ! I know already that you can do that with titanium. I prefer to do that manually though, as I alredy know the file system. Can somebody experienced with coding and more knowledge abou the system internals come five a hand here?

Has anyone heard when this is actually out? And will this ROM be transferable to our current devices?
This would pretty much remove the need for CM, correct me if I'm wrong..
I9505 should readily be ported because v the Google version will be using its soc

From what you are saying, I can guess you are on a CyanogenMod based ROM, with Trebuchet as your launcher, then take a look here

There were instructions on how to recompile for CM 10.2 in the second post
But anyway try the file I attached below, it was taken from the Jellybam bam Modder, and it also worked, just flash it and it should work?

Can you tell me where you obtained it and extracted from ?
The Dialer needs a whole set of Libraries and 4.4.3 OS Framework. You'd need OS update to make it work.
I got it from here http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...ll-it-manually-on-other-kitkat-roms-download/ and i installed the apk verison because i dont have a custom recovery, also i am on android 4.4.3

If you are on 4.4.3 then it should have been in your Rom already. Otherwise you can contact your Rom Developer. If you have Stock update with 4.4.3, then that's manufacturer's decision and this will not work.
