MagioRom firmware update help - HTC One S

I'll be adding more to this like institutions and downloads soon. I just wanted to get the thread going so users have somewhere to talk. Please no longer post about firmware or the new MagioRom in the MagioRom port thread. Thank you.

Sorry for going off subject in other thread.
Just an update, I have found RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1. 11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4 which is the same radio and hboot as what I have, but I cant install it because of the different cid. I have tried changing it within the ROM.zip but is encrypted which doesn't allow me to change it within android-info.txt.
The only way I can do it it seems is to change the cid on the phone, which is protected grr. Running in circles lol. Is there any method to get the Tmob JB to update this phone and then use the correct method to soff ready for the firmware upgrade?
Thanks for any help

can you post the steps to update the firmware that supports your latest rom version 5 and also the links to download it.
I am still having random reboots with version 5.

ROM With End Call Button In Notification Bar

The main thing keeping me from trying another ROM is the End Call button HTC puts in notification bar, allowing you to hang up from anywhere in the phone. Is there another ROM with this feature or an alternative?
Thanks!
I think most ROMs have this, you do mean this right?

thread should be in QA.
I cant seem to find the download Link for this rom/tweak/mod
Cyanogenmod (and most aosp I would guess) can do it.
Just realised that I was in regular android dev, not aosp section.
Oh well!

How u get the OTA? I'm on t-mobile and did not get any update? My phone is not root nor bootloader unlock
It was the minor OTA about a month ago, I'm assuming this radio came with it because nobody else has it. Regardless it is new. Have you checked in software update? You should have got it if you are un rooted stock.

Flash EVO 4g rom

I'm courious of what would happen if I modify an EVO 4g Rom by putting an Evita boot.img into it and flashing it on our phone. I know our phone and the EVO are very similar and would flashing an EVO Rom brick our phone?

Ah your're right. After I looked at the emmc partions for the EVO they are completely different than the one x. Flashing one of those roms means a sure brick......unless we modify the updater-script.

everything you need to know is here in the htc one mini forum. it's been asked before. Please read what's here like everyone else has to. You won't be spoon fed information. And if you still can't find what your looking for Google it.
ask more specific questions, once you've read what's here.
be warned once you unlock your boot loader, you can't go back.

by this do you mean s-off can be turned back to s-on or do you mean the flag can be changed to hide s-off status? Cheers.

It can be turned back to S-ON. Revone can turn your phone back to 100% stock. Read the S-OFF tutorial thread for more info.

I,ve read most of the revone thread, thought I might of missed something to fake the s-off status. but cheers.
I only say because if something terrible was to happen to our phones and we had to send them in for repair, it's most likely that we would be unable to remove such things before sending them off. And if they manage to boot it up it would show all the nasty stuff we've done. They may end up charging you to have it fixed. and htc quality seems to be slipping these days and makes it more likely something may happen. I'm just paranoid I guess

I recommend either going S-Off or grabbing hold of a kernel which has write security disabled. Then installing the apk yourself so you may properly install the driver. May provide better results. I am not all that familiar with this apk myself. I don't even use it lol.
