Hey guys, I have an annoying problem for really long time now. Something is wrong with the headphone plug, and sometimes the sound in the right side get lost when the headphone jack moves or something. The severity of the problem differs with different headphones, with some the problem almost never occur and with others it's impossible to walk with the phone in the pocket while listening to music because the sound constantly goes on and off. Any suggestions on how to solve it? Thanks in advance.

Probably faulty jack. Had this with my One X as well, was sent back for repairs.
Unfortunately I don't have warranty by now, will it be expensive to fix it?

Oh my god I can't believe it. Stupidest thing ever happend to me. I've had this problem for months now and just now I noticed there is a little piece of nylon stuck in the jack. Got it out with a needle and everything works fine again. Lesson: don't be like me. Thanks for the help.

Was some talk of it in the evo4g forums before but never happened.Would have to be reverse engineered somehow and haven't seen it done.

Yes, because wifi is entirely relevant to FM transmission.
I certainly wouldn't hold my breath...
Way back when the hd2 came out it was discovered that the board in the phone indeed had a transmitter on it. There was a pretty hefty bounty to get it working and no one ever could.
My guess is that its cheaper for HTC to buy the boards in bulk with these extra chips than to have something custom made for each device...

Hey guys,
I've been looking but I can't come up with any results. I'm after the HTC Sensation XE headphones - before anyone jumps down my throat, I don't care about the beats crap, I just want earbuds that have the inline controls on them.
Anyone had any luck?
The headphones that come with Sensation XE I think they are from "Beats by Dr. Dre" ...
maybe the "ibeats" model.
please correct me if I am wrong. I've just ordered "the tour" can't wait to get them
i agree with you but i don't know if the telecommand is compatible :/
and god ! it's so expansive !!
I could be wrong but I believe that they are the Diddy Beats version
I think it's a custom made for HTC sensation XE and earbud I've ever seen earbud for Monster turbine pro on Ebay.
@Mr_Boob : this one aren't for Diddy
http://www.beatsbydre.com/products/Products.aspx?pid=B5933&cat=2
and it looks like those with XE
The two different types of Beats headphones that come with the Sensation XE are custom ones made for HTC. They look like the iBeats or the Beats Pro but have the HTC headset controls on them.

The controls aren't just for htc. They already have it on the original earphones

The ones that come with the Sensation XE have HTC's controls (like the ones of the headphones that came with it). They are different from the regular iBeats controls
Yeah but will it work on HTC's phone?

I know a lot of people like to hate on the Beats but I have a set of the Beats Tours and they are very good. Pricey? Yes.
At any rate, I'd like to know if there is a way to make them work for skipping songs, forwarding and such now that some Beats are made specifically for the Sensation.

Okay, so in regards to the actual question - does anybody know where to get any earbuds with controls that work on the sensation?

That's what I was after as well. It seems there isn't (other than the stock ones) but there is an app called "Headset Button Controller". Has anyone tried it with their Sensation?

Been searching for the xe in ear phones under replacement can't find them. You'd think they would be cheaper. Will have to wait n see.
How loud is a sensation? I've got mine playing next to a sg1. And I can barely hear it. Maybe my speakers are stuffed?

If it's loose, and you want to fix it your self. You have to open up the phone.
And when you do that, your warranty is void.
