What is the step by step procedure to flash the stock rom? I have a problem with my tablet it blinks infinitely until I press both volume keys, then the tablet goes to Ready for Download mode when connected to my pc. How to flash stock rom through PC? I tried using EasyFlasher then I put the stockrom zip file to Asusupdate folder and it says this error: ERROR! Blob wasn't extracted! Check your .zip file in AsusUpdate folder!
Make sure it is the original .zip that you downloaded from ASUS. Tnx in advance

I know it's probably too late for you, but maybe it will be useful for others.
Download from the link above the files: SD_RESTORE_UTIL_20131009_STOCK.z01, 02, 03, 04 and zip. Extract the contents: 2 folders and 2 files directly to the root of an SD card.
With the tablet off, insert the card and press Power. Choose from the menu with a blue background which appears after a few seconds, RESTORE option and wait about 10-15 minutes.
If your problem is not hardware, then your tablet will load the operating system completely.

HI,
2 of my PC (Windows 7 64) does not see my transformer in USB Debug mode. I installed the 64 bit Dell driver on each PC. Could someone provide me with some options to try.
Is there a way to completely reset the Transformer to stock without USB or being able to load a kernel from SD card?
2 ways to reset -
If you can boot then go into settings --> backup and reset --> factory data reset.
If you can't, hold volume-down then press power, and wait till wipe data appears, use vol keys to select it.
and search for the Universal Naked Drivers, those may help.
Thanks. That seemed to wipe the user settings and data, but not the recovery app "CWM-based Recovery v5.5.04 roach-tf101-r2". As a result the following happened after I reset.
System reboots
System comes up clean and runs setup (wifi, gmail account, etc).
System downloads firmware update.
System reboots to install update
Android appears and runs for a few seconds
Mesages appear: CWM-based Recovery v5.5.04 roach-tf101-r2
Finding update package, opening update package, Verifying update package
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
At this point the TF still will not install zip from sd card since as you told me before I need a different recover and is not found by the PC with a naked driver.
However, the unit is functional.
Any other options to root and get a new recovery installed and finally a new ROM.
Note: the PC does see the TF if I am in the recovery. However, as soon as boot the TF and enable USB debug the TF us not seen.
To go back to totally stock including stock recovery, download and flash an official ROM from Asus website.

I have no problem doing that, but how do I do it if I cannot connect the TF to PC via USB or load a zip file via recovery? Both of these do not work!
Did you update cwm via ROM manager? That's the issue there, you can run Roach2010's fix to fix that.
If terminal emulator app works you can flash a downloaded and extracted
(through es file explorer) recoveryblob with
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/recoveryblob of=dev/block/mmcblk0p4
reboot
Then you have working recovery and can either flash ROM or Stock.
Thanks for all the replies.
I finally got it working. It took me forever to understand that having a recovery that could only read from the internal memory was not a big deal. I created a folder on the internal sd and dropped in the zip for the external version of CWM . I rebooted and loaded the new restore and from then on I could load ROMs from my external uSD card. I am now happily running the latest version of Revolver.

BACKGROUND
1) Running Australian TF700T
2) Updated via OTA to firmware v9.4.5.30
3) Rooted using DebugFS
4) Installed app named "[Root] Beats Audio Installer" from Google Play
5) Installed Beats Audio using app "[ROOT] Beats Audio Installer"
6) At device reboot, I am now stuck in a bootloop at the ASUS screen showing the spinning wheel
NOTES
a) Bootloader is stock (ie. not unlocked)
b) Recovery is stock showing WW_epad_9.4.5.30_20120907 A30 (ie. no fastboot)
ATTEMPTS TO FIX
7) DATA RESET
7a) Hold POWER + VOL DOWN to enter stock recovery
7b) VOL DOWN to Wipe Data
Result: Device restarts but still stuck in bootloop at Asus screen with spinning wheel
Conclusion 1: The Beats Audio has messed with the /system partition, not the /data partition
8) FULL FACTORY RESET
Note: Followed steps in thread "Full Factory Reset" at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777203
8a) Downloaded latest firmware from ASUS Support Download as "WW_epad_user_9_4_5_30_20120907_UpdateLauncher.zip"
8b) Unzipped firmware resulting in file "WW_epad-user-9.4.5.30.zip"
8c) Using Windows 7 PC, formatted a 4GB Lexar Class 4 sd card as FAT32 in Windows 7
8d) Using Windows 7 PC, copied file "WW_epad-user-9.4.5.30.zip" to sdcard
8e) Inserted sdcard into TF700 and pressed POWER + VOL DOWN for 10 seconds, then VOL UP to enter Recovery Mode
8f) Stock recovery runs and shows Android with open chest. Progress bar runs.
8g) Android on back displayed with red exclamation triangle.
8h) No text is displayed showing the firmware update is found on the sdcard
8i) Result: Device restarts but still stuck in bootloop at Asus screen with spinning wheel
Notes: I've tried saving the firmware update to the sdcard with the following names, with the same result being a stuck bootloop:
a) WW_epad-user-9.4.5.30.zip
b) EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip
Conclusion 2: There is something wrong with the sdcard reader in my TF700
Conclusion 3: Stock recovery finds the update file but does not apply it as it is the same firmware version as is already installed.
Conclusion 4: I'm using the wrong filename or recovery process
9) NVFLASH
9a) I've looked into NvFlash from http://androidroot.mobi/t3_nvflash/ to try to reimage the /system partition, but the NvFlash
website states: "For TF700: If you upgraded to 9.4.5.30, it *won’t* work!"
Conclusion 5: As I'm running Android 9.4.5.30, I can't use NvFlash to reimage /system
Any help at this point would be much appreciated!

Thanks tbtaf.
The solution involves saving the Asus stock firmware to a microsd card not a standard sd card and then booting into stock recovery. The stock recovery finds the firmware update file and reimages the device.
I now have a working TF700 again.
Glad it worked!

Hey whiz kids,
I upgraded to a new NIghtly cm-10.1 for my tf300t through the custom roms app. Problem is I didn't have a upgraded bootloader, it could be as old as honeycomb I don't know. Whats happening now is a the first Asus screen loads up and its just frozen there permanently until the device dies. I can get into RCK and Fastboot. Apparently I don't have a backup either. What are my options?

Whoops, sneezed and clicked the Thanks button. Oh well... you have my thanks.
Load a stock ROM on you microSD (available on ASUS' support website), and flash it from recovery. This should update your bootloader in addition to flashing a bootable ROM. Then, reflash CM's nightly.
It might be better to ask in the 300T section in case there's any slight idiosyncrasy's that differ from the TF700T.
Marty is right though you should be able to flash back to ICS and start over with an unlocked bootloader.
Appreciate the comments back..thanks. I tried the suggested idea, however, the microsd card inserted on the side of the tablet doesnt have an option in recovery to open up and view the files. The only option I have is to look through the internal usb storage drive, since I cant connect the tab to my computer in an way I tried so far, I cant get an old rom into the internal drive.?? Its just frozen on the asus bootloader screen and wont even turn off lol.

Hold down the power button long enough will enventually turn off the device. Make sure it off first then boot into recovery and see if you can access your sdcard. If not working hookup usb cable between pc and your device, boot into recovery (home page), then open adb on your pc and make sure the rom file is in the same directory of your adb command, on your pc run this command to copy file to your internal memory:
adb push c:\folder_where_adb_and rom_zipfile\rom.zip /sdcard
OK..I sent the file using adb push it took like 90secs and it confirmed the asus jellybean firmware (10.4.2.16) file at 100mb. Only problem is is that its not showing up in the sdcard. There are just a bunch of folders with no new .zip files.?? I dont understand why the file wouldn't show up after it says it sent it.
Which custom recovery are you using? Sounds like you need to re-do it from a PC when in fastboot mode ( choose USB icon in boot loader ). Make sure you use the latest TWRP or CWM as they both read the card fine.

If you are at RCK what happens when you press then release (and wait) volume + (up)?
Shamelessly ripped from Pretoriano80's excellent summary thread from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833212
I copied it here because I wanted to point out the rename step that's needed if you're on stock recovery somehow. I too am curious as to what recovery is active on your system...
*** Factory Restore after a softbrick/Downgrade from Jelly Bean to ICS/Clean Factory Restore ***
When You Need This?
* if you get stuck on Asus boot screen (the one with the spinning wheel)
* If you don't like JB and you want ICS back
* if you want to get back to a clean stock firmware
Note: You need to have a working recovery (stock or custom) in order to use this method.
========= Recover /Downgrade from Jelly Bean to ICS/Clean Factory Restore with stock recovery =========
1) Download the latest firmware from Asus site (based os your SKU,eg. ww 9.4.5.26 * to downgrade from Jelly Bean you need the 9.4.5.30 firmware)
2) Extract the .zip file somewere on your desktop (the result will be another .zip file, use it for step 3)
3) Rename the extracted archive to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP" (without the " ") and upload it to a MicroSD card
4) Insert the MicroSD card in your tablet and use this button combination to Power ON and go to recovery --> Start the tablet by pressing Volume Down and POWER togheter for 5 seconds ,a message will inform you that you have 5 seconds to enter the recovery, press Volume UP before the 5 seconds expire.
At this point the device will go in recovery and should start updating your firmware .
Note: Keep in mind that Windows doesn't show the known file extensions so most users don't have to put the .ZIP extension in the filename.

Hello,
I'm a mega noob. Now that's out of the way I posted a question on tomshardware about a broken tablet. I was directed here when ASUS replied to my question. They said to hold the Power Button and the Volume Down button, if I got there then upload the firmware. I don't know the middle part though! So I see a screen with three options. The first one says "RCK", the second one is the Android Logo with the Android name below, finally there's a box with an arrow coming out pointing at a little android guy and the words "Wipe Data". What should I select, what should I do next?
It is running Android 4.2.1 stock, never unlocked
The tablet was working just fine until one day it got stuck on the loading screen and stayed at the screen. If I can fix it, It's mine!
Thank You,
Fast replies are appreciated.
First off, what is your problem? Also, whatever you do, DO NOT SELECT "WIPE DATA" OR YOU WILL BRICK!!!
Is your bootloader unlocked?
Edit
I updated the my Post with more information.

I suggest downloading the firmware from Asus website and downloading the correct firmware. Take care as there are two different versions of the tablet TF300T and TF300G. Once you have downloaded the firmware place it on your SD card. Reboot into the three icon screen and press RCK menu and install/flash the downloaded firmware. If you would like to unlock and root the tablet then I can help you with that too.:good:
Yes you can try the above method to re-flash the stock firmware, however once you have downloaded the firmware zip before you put it on your microSD you will need to unzip this firmware zip and you will find a second zip inside - and this is the zip file that you need to put on your microSD card.
As stated above you can then boot to your bootloader screen and select the RCK which on stock will boot to the stock recovery which will be a green android which should then show a blue progress bar under the green android - let it complete and then the tab should reboot and be all good.
If it does not work you will see the android laying on it's back with chest open - if this is the case you can try the fastboot method to flash the system blob which seems to work even with a locked bootloader - link to my how-to can be found in my sig below, if you need help with any steps just let me know.

So I need to unzip the file from ASUS.com when it's on the MicroSD before or after? Do I put the file on the internal or on an external SD Card? What is the zip file in the zip file called? Thank You, you guys have brought me one step closer to ending this thing.

I usually download the firmware to the PC first as sometimes these tablets seem to have issues downloading large files.
Which firmware version are you wanting flash/install?
When you download the firmware it will be called, depending on which firmware version - TF300T-WW_epad-10_6_1_15_3-UpdateLauncher.zip
Unzip this to a folder and inside you will find another zip called WW_epad-user-10.6.1.15.3.zip - Copy this zip file to your microSD.
With microSD in tab reboot to bootloader - hold vol- & power - In bootloader menu "vol-" is to move between what icon is highlighted.
"vol+" is to select/execute what is highlighted.
Highlight the "RCK" icon and select.
The tablet should now boot to the stock recovery which should a black screen with a green android with a blue progress bar underneath. This should take between 5-10 minutes to complete and then the tablet should reboot. If so the tablet should boot up to the setup wizard to setup the tab, Done. :good:
If this is not the case and you get a green android laying on it's back with it chest open and I think a red explanation icon it has not worked. I would then try the fastboot method of flashing the system blob. Have a look at my how-to in the sig below for details on this method, you will also need fastboot installed on the pc first - Installing android sdk and updating it to the android version your wanting to flash should also install fastboot and adb drivers.
If the first method does not work and you need help with the second just let me know.

Although i m not an expert.. but here the process
1) download the file ..
2) unzip it on ur pic
3) in the unzip folder u will see a recovery.img file
4) Now disocnnect the USB cable from phone (if any)
5) Shutdown the phone
6) Now press VOLUME + and Volume - and Power button together .. this will take u a PINK SCREEN
7) Now connect the phone to pc via USB cable .. in ur PC u will be able to see a new disk drive .. which will contain recovery.img file already
8) for backup up purpose rename the recovery.img in the newly mounted disk driver to recovery.org (or something else)
Now the final thing
9) Copy the recovery.img from your unzipped folder to mounted drive ..
Take out battery and u r done
Now U can enter in CWM recovery by press volume+ and power (i not sure.. chk forum)
Again tx alot, i will try it later - here on windows 8 pc everything is ok, pink screeen starts and pc detects new device and install some drivers, but no new drive is showing at the pc when the "driver install window" closes
