Bluetooth Tracker & Alarm for smart phone - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have had lately issues with thives.
My Samsung Galaxy S4 was stolen when i was out in public from my pocket.
Do you people know is there possible to set up Samsung Galaxy note 3 and that gear wach this way that IF i forget phone on my work table when i leave office or somone takes it from my pocket wach will sound an alarm as phone is away from em from x ammount meeters?
Thios would prevent me forgeting phone somwhere and also when somone tries to steal it directly from my pocket.
Or is there any other gear that will help to prevent those things to happen?
I have loost too many phones and now got this one stolen.
I am getting tomorrow Galaxy note 3 and thinking how to prevent to forgeting it somwhere or geting this stolen again?

[Q] are sims interchangeable

aright so, let say i went to Disneyland with the kids and Stupid me decided to right this water log thing and it ended up doing damage to my samsung s3. It charges, but when i sync to my laptop it says usb damage. Im guessing water damage . My contract has not ended yet, but my wife's has. She really like her note 2, and will not want to upgrade. Is going to cost more to fix then to replace it.
So here is my question??
is it possible if my wife upgrades her note 2 to a s5, but keeps her sim in the note 2, while I take my sim out of my s3 and use it for the s5. sorry, if it sounds weird. we are the same carrier(Verizon). Or is this not going to work because we will have to deactivate the phone. The s3 is killing me is to the point is dying in my pocket, I never use it and by the time of break is at 30%. I tried to restore it and everything and the water damage just made it worse.

Assuming you're both on the same carrier, swapping SIMs should be no problem at all.

[Q] Will the Note Edge work with the Gear S?

Just got my Note Edge yesterday and I love it. But I can't get it to work with my Gear S watch? Very frustrating and I can't figure it out unless they just aren't compatible. Can anyone help?
I have a Note Edge paired with the Gear S that works great. I can use the Gear S via Bluetooth or cell. When you said that you just got the Edge, it makes me think that this Gear was set up with another phone prior to the Edge. If so, you'd have to factory reset the Gear.
My Gear Neo 2 is really finicky with the Edge. I think it is the flakey bluetooth on the entire Note 4 line. Every once in a while (maybe twice a week or more), I have to restart the watch to get it to talk to the phone again. I am totally awaiting the official Lollipop update for my Verizon variant as there are a large number of bluetooth changes in it. I am getting a bit concerned that Lollipop doesn't appear to be on the immediate radar for Verizon now that the S6 is out there
Anyway, I would try and factory reset the watch and start the connection process over. A bit inconvenient but I bet it will work.
i've got both and they're work very well. the bluetooth connection is stable and the reconnection after a disconnect is very fast. i see no trouble

Note 5 vs Apple 6 plus s

So I've been an avid Android user since it's birth, I've NEVER owned an apple products and up until recently, I've NEVER even considered it but the 6plus caught my eye.. I know that neither eco system is perfect but I'm so tired of some of the issues I'm having with my Samsung device that have continued from s3 to s4 to note 3 and now my Note 4... I can't understand why the same problems persist???? And rooting the phone is just not something I want to do + a jailbroken iPhone also opens up the device to better performance...
(a) Frequently when I take a picture and try and view the picture immediately afterwards, the phone experiences lagging and force closing
(b) when I receive a message or notification of ANY kind while listening to media, my volume is decreased and the only solution is to text myself and the new notification increases my media volume again
(c) the brightness sometimes turns itself down due to overheating
(d) WiFi issues!! Losing connection and reconnecting FREQUENTLY!!
(e) this phone was supposed to be compatible with my pioneer head unit using mirrorlink, purchased the latest head unit EXACTLY for that purpose as pioneer assured me that it was what I needed for mirror link to work. Well it didn't and researched the hell out of it (no solution)
(f) GPS sucks balls, constantly getting confused on my location, at 1st it was strictly a problem in downtown Chicago but now it happens in the suburbs too.. I could be sitting still and the phone suddenly tells me to turn left and then it corrects itself and then again turn left and it will continue to switch back N forth until I start moving again...
Now I've had all but one of these issues on EVERY Samsung device I've owned, each time hoping that their latest and greatest devices will have resolved these issues but to no avail!!!
So I'm thinking of actually making a switch to Apple and keeping an Android tablet along side it for my Android fix... I have a couple friends who've always switched back N forth between the 2, so I know Apple is a fantastic device that doesn't typically suffer from existing problems with complete deniability.. The customer service is absolutely stellar but I also know that's it's a limited device... No more unlimited skip Pandora, no more torrenting straight to my device, no more custom launchers ect ect ect....
Anyways just want some input... By the way I'm NOT a dev or a computer wiz BUT I'm a geek and electronics and gadgets are my passion, I do custom car stereo installation, I build pc's, I repair pc's for friends frequently and overall I'm very capable... Trust me NON of my problems have a real solution... Also my wife too owns a Note 4 and same crap happens with her phone

samsung gear app issue with an iphone

Hello…
I know it' isn't an Android phone : ) any help will be appreciated…I have an S3 connected to my iPhone but then when I open the gear app it’s isn’t detecting it? Attached SC
*iPhone, gear app and S3 are all up to date
Thanks
Reset the watch for new phone (in watch setting), erase BT connection in phone totally close the Gear app on phone and retry.
Just put my Gear S2 from my Galaxy S5 to my iPhone SE.
I have done that already and it seems okay for now, will the S3 drain it's battery more with iPhones vs Android because I turn off bunsh of stuff like HR, GPS...etc and I may make it 1 day with a single charge? I see other only are getting 2-3days with a single charge
Thanks

Question Connection to watch 5 ? Why not allow a smartwatch to connect to a tablet ?

My aunt is nearly 70 and prefer to use a tablet with her buds instead of a phone. Recently she got a watch 5 as a gift. But we get a message this type of accessory is not compatible or allowed when attempting to pair with Galaxy wearables app. I beg to know why from Samsung ? Is there a lack of hardware or can they please bring out an update to fix this ?
