[Q] Bootloop - HTC Sensation

Hey Guys!
Topic says all, my Sensation XE (Hboot 1.27.1100, latest PAC 4.3 Build) is stucked in Bootloop. I turned my phone off this afternoon to change battery, since then it's stucked in bootloop. The white screen with HTC Logo appears for about 10 maybe 15 seconds, than a empty black screen for about 3-5 seconds and boot again.
What happend? I used my phone with that hboot and ROM since the latest build was uploaded.
Any Ideas for fixing this?
Help would be appreciated. <3

What recovery do you have? You can access to recovery in to the bootloader...
What things you have when you go to bootloader?
Do you have recovery like the picture>

reflash recovery
if you want to save your data i'd try to reflash recovery through fastboot. if not try flashing ruu

otherwise try from bootloader(in fastboot mode) and type this command from cmd window
fastboot reboot recovery

Fellas try flashing another recovery. Or download again this one that you currently have and flash this again
Which recovery?? Twrp 2.5??
ғг๏๓ ҭђє ғเรђ™
no cwm.
tried flashing both twrp and cwm. still giving me a blank screen when i try to boot into recovery
ok im going to try to go back to ruu and flash recovery again. can some1 give me the link to the thread containing all the ruu?
No need to flash the RUU.. Just reflash the recovery using
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
yeah, when i tried that and it says fastboot is not recognized as internal or external command. :\

That means fastboot is not installed... Or is not recognized..
Go to the original android development section, and download fastboot for windows from the twrp recovery thread..
And also download twrp 2.5.0.0 from the same thread(bith links are in the 1st post)..
Extract both zips in a folder, then from cmd prompt, navigate to that folder, and from there, run
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If you have the android sdk installed, run an update, to get the newest version of fastboot(not needed) and then run the "fastboot flash.." command..

Try again if it doesnt work ... Sometimes after a freshly flashing the recovery it gets stuck at teamwin splashscreen.. then just remove battery and by using the power and vol button combo boot into bootloader and then into recovery. If its still getting stuck at teamwin logo.. try redownloading the recovery.img.. this time from the thread..and flash it again.. if it still doesnt work .. then go to the Rooting tutorial by jaggyjags and flash the A310e recovery using the bat file.. That must do the trick.
when i reflashed and tried to go into recovery, first it goes to splashscreen then suddenly goes blank and then comes back to splashscreen and gets stuck there. when i tried the jaggyjags recovery it goes blank. how could have something gone so wrong just coz i switched off my phone for a few days? i was running cm9 build 14 and yannou cwm5. now nothing seems to work. any other suggestions?

Try removing SD card and booting into recovery. If it enters into recovery fully , electrocute your SDcard by putting it back in,while inside recovery ,then do what you have to.
If all doesn't work ,could be a burnt recovery ..You May try this.. not sure about exact code.
Code:
fastboot boot recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
You need twrp 2 5 recovery.img in /SDcard
Complete cute prince recovery procedure and try booting your Rom. You will not be able Flash any other recovery if you've actually burnt it. Only way is by the above code.. If your Rom boots, read twrp thread fully.

Hi,
Download a working boot.img of a kernel/sense ROM
Then put it in main folder of adb stuffs, then open command prompt and navigate there, while your phone is connected via usb in bootloader, then type this:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Spit out from an HTC Sensation XE, a revived device while was dying due to lack of support, with TeamVenom, and other astonishingly amazing developers' benignity...

Here is a guide on flashing boot.img
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
Read the flashing boot.img section in this thread
Also since you are flashing with S-On, I would suggest you follow the other stuff in this thread too...specially the part about using 4EXT recovery
I too had this problem when I flashed my first rom.....it is because our phone is S-On and cannot update the boot partition on its own...it has to be done manually....the best solution to this problem is using 4EXT recovery

Hi ,
I tried a OTA from VenomS3.1.2 to 3.1.3 on my S-off Sensation.
It rebooted with a android symbol and a exclamation sign.
It wa stuck for a while and hence i rebooted my phone and got to see my mobile doesnt charge at all from any source
So i went to the recovery and tried to reinstall the OS .
I did the following:
1)wipe cache partition
2)wipe dalvik cache
3)wipe data/factory reset
4)install zip from sd card and installed venomS3.1.2
The mobile rebooted and got back to the recovery screen . I tried rebooting again and reinstalled the zip after clearing cache , but still im unable to go past the CWM recovery page [v5.0.2.2]
PLease help me out ..There is very little juice left in my phone to do anything .cos my phone also stopped charging

My phone is completely out of charge now .
The phone doesnt charge now .
I could only think of charging the battery by some means before i could try what you said.
Is there anything else i can do apart from finding a charged battery ?

enable usb debugging mode from settings
boot to the bootloader and connect the device to pc(in the hboot screen should say fastboot usb)
if it doesn't say that select fastboot
extract the boot.img from your current rom you have installed and place it in your adb and fastboot folder(in your pc)
open in that folder a cmd window and type the command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

Hi ,
i tried to reflash my phone with Venom S3.1.2 , the one which i had earlier installed . The installation completes without any error but the device reboots over and over and comes to the recovery screen itself.
I tried to restore a backed up file .It says MD5 checksum error.. Does it makes sense?
Shouold i root my device once again or something like that?
Could you please explain how i can change my recovery from cwm to 4ext or probably direct me there ?

Bricked (temp hopefully)

Trying to flash the new stock sense 5 rom phone is stuck in a loop that I cant get it out of.
Rogers HTC One XL
hboot 2.14
bootloader unlocked.
Followed this guide to unlocked bootloader.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038
Copied the stock 4.2.2 sense 5 rom and super su zips onto my sd card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423735
Then I booted into twrp and flashed the stock 4.2.2 rom and was prompted to flash super su as well.
flashed both files and reset the phone.
The phone boots up and shows the htc screen, then goes to a black screen.
Holding power down just makes the three softbuttons flash three times, then the phone resets and goes back to the black screen.
EDIT:
I can get into the recovery menu, but everything fails.

once you unlock the bootloader you cannot factory reset in hboot menu anymore.
flash twrp 2.6, wipe sd card on twrp (wipe - advanced), mount, copy rom over, wipe everything except sd card then flash your rom.
if youre s-on you have to extract the boot.img from the rom you flashed and:

[Q] HTC One S stuck in 'Entering recovery'

I unlocked the bootloader of My HTC One S with instructions from htcdev.com later I flashed it with latest touch CWM img file. I cleared cache several times, tried to flash with twrp but same situation. If I just erase cache, it is still showing the same screen, tried stock recovery image also, still no luck. flash TWRP for your phone, then test to see if the RECOVERY mode works by selecting the ‘RECOVERY’ option. your phone should boot into TWRP Recovery mode now and this means that the install has been successfully completed.
Select ‘Reboot’ from the TWRP Recovery options and wait until your phone boots into normal mode. or if all else fails, and you have a backup of all your data/files just run a RUU and bring it back to when it first came out the box.
