Just to let you know, an USB DAC, in this case the iBasso D-zero, works fine on the Galaxy Tab 3. (8 in this case)

But drains the battery, someone should invent a cable without the power connection.
Edit: iBasso has charge on/off button, forgot that

Bumping this old thread. This is good info. Thanks. Any body using a different DAC with the tab 3 8.0? (under 100.00 maybe).

Not sure if serious.
It runs on 4 AA batteries. They charge the phone for an hour and then need to be changed.

My Motorola usb otg cable only seems to work with my old xoom and not my xperia z/nexus 7 or my wife's htc one mini. I should have a new cable by the weekend and will update this thread.

Generic OTG cable from Amazon works fine on my Galaxy S2, Nexus 7 and HTC One Mini....
Yes otg works fine, I confirmed that a while ago, yesterday I tested mhl and that does not work

FYI..USB OTG is supported in the kernel, but there is no sii USB controller so there is no mhl adapter -> HDMI out support. There *should* be wireless display in much much later builds of m4 on CM (it would be a last feature to work on kinda thing.

Will I be able to wireless charge my nexus 4 without the official wireless charging dock from Google. Here's my hunch I have an Xbox 360 battery pack charger but its wireless one I picked it up for about 10 quid and its in the garage somewhere and I don't wanna be making a meas trying to find it when I can get the answer on here. Can anyone help me will that Xbox 360 battery pack wireless charger be able to charge my nexus 4.

I don't think so because the nexus 4 uses the qi standard and the charger has to be able to do the same. I got an Xbox myself and I don't think that there was a qi standard 7 years ago.
If I helped you, hit the thanks button.

Have you looked at the Google ChromeCast?
Chromecast is too much for me.
This one maybe? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iPush-DLN...Cellulari_Cavi_Adattatori&hash=item33852bf0e2

Chromecast is $35. Doesn't get much cheaper than that. Unless you go with cheap chinese crap that'll break in 2 days.

So if I use the original usb cable that came with the device my phone will charge in about 3 or 4 hours. But if i use any after market usb cables it takes 5 to 6 hours I'm trying find our what is the difference between the two cables. Keep in mind I'm using the same oem charger with both cables.

Your stock charger is 2 amps the ones you are using are most likely 1 amp. You need to find other ones that are 2 amps also.
No I'm using the white 2 amp charger. I have narrowed it down to the cable I'm trying to see if there is something diffrent.

Charge only cables vs Charge and data cables. Has been thoroughly discussed in the forums. Go buy a charge only cable and you will see the fastest charging. Just don't try to use it for data. Guage of wires also has a lot to do with how much current can be carried.
