Exactly turn of the 4x MSAA it only improve graphics but make the games lags and tested also on riptide gp2 too...
[So you don't have need to turn on 4x MSAA , but if u want the good graphic turn it on ''but it will not make any difference in the pink dots glitch'']
Tested by my self

2- You don't need to set the Window animation scale to .5x
or Set Transition animation scale to .5x
or Set animator duration scale to .5x
Just Keep it to 1.0x , but if u wanted to change it , change it
Tested by my self

makes it faster if it lags

Thank you guys for supporting me

The graphics are beautiful but the button placement gets squished on my Galaxy Nexus
Is there any way to fix?

Awesome it worked thanks! Although it makes the buttons a lott smaller on the nexus, how weird!
So I can't use the p920 files right? Because I wanted to use the last file with the brakes...

Gta3.setr is the same on all devices . You can use it on your nexus.
If you use gta3.set with high resolution enabled then the button are smaller.
You can edit size of buttons in settings. My buttons are smaller too after reset to default.
Try file in attachment
works great for me

[Best Settings] FPse + OpenGL plugin

I'm looking to make this playable. I'm a total noob at FPse but getting the hang of it. At one time I had FF7 smooth as silk but several Roms and kernels later plus the OpenGL plugin makes things look awesome but laggy.
Anyone have any luck with the opengl plugin with FPse and what settings do you use?
I'm on the latest Megatron and some recommended kernel. Overclocking to 1400 didn't help much.
I think I remember running it as a phone app vs tablet app helped a lot but no longer get that option anymore. Suggestions and tips anyone?

Settings settings settings. You have to fiddle with em in FPSe. I play FFVII on my Note too. Funny thing is....the settings seem different every time, but nevertheless, i usually get it working.
Also, CM9 had absolutely awful 3d performance when I was running it. It forced me to run back to a stock based rom. So if your using CM9, run GLbench or something similar and compare scores with others here to see if youre suffering from the same problem.
Lastly, if you have a super high speed Micro SD card, try placing the ROM and BIOS there, or swap it to your Internal SD if it's already on your External SD.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
Good advice. Yea setting seem key here and some don't really give descriptions and they don't always stick and they don't always take effect immediately.
So tuning setting can be a pain when your constantly restarting the app and loading a ISO after each setting toggle.
Good to know about stock vs cm9. I'm running Megatron which is AOSP I believe. I think last time I had great success was on the stock-based roms. Good idea about the internal vs external storage. Right now I'm running off external class 6, I believe.
I guess another question is whether the TF101 can run FF7 at full speed with the OpenGL plugin?
-UPDATE-
Yea after playing with some settings, it is running pretty good. Audio gets screwy sometimes during opening battle scenes but otherwise plays at 60fps. Choppy audio during scene/battle changes is a buzzkill though but the graphics of using the OpenGL plugin is great. Looks sweet. So I guess it is a good trade off.
I am still using Megatron CM9 but flashed to Harmony kernel. Set governor to Performance and CPU to 1408mhz. Typically the governor and CPU doesn't play a huge role in the performance but I didn't test before and after. Just saying it is working pretty well.

best setting is to avoid option which wil slow down the performance.
FPse best settings!
Im running Metal Gear Solid, Rayman and FF9 with no problems. (some lag but very rare)...Here are my settings, im using a galaxy s3!
Framelimiter - off
Framskip - on
Print FPS - optional really lol
Adjust framebuffer access - on
special upload detection - on
offscreen drawing - on (good for pop-ups in FF9)
advanced blending - off
alpha multipass - on
mask bit - on
32bit rendering - off
anti aliasing - on (keep off if your device cant handle it....i think this is why i get rare lag when i get it)
texture filtering - on
old frameskip - off
special frame limiter - on
busy fix - on or off same effect
I'm getting 59-63 fps with metal gear solid and ff9.....50-59 fps with rayman and tekken 3....These are by far the best settings i tried. Try them and let me know. I dont recommend these settings on a lower end device. Try these settings on gs3 (all versions) and htc one x (all versions) and you just might get the same awesome performance on a galaxy nexus too!
Try them and let me know!

Here is my setting to play FFIX, most of the time is pretty stable on 60ps. the most important feature to use is the special frame limitter, dont use any frame skip because it will make it laggy even the fps is showing high value.
Framskip - on
Print FPS - on
offscreen drawing - on
alpha multipass - on
mask bit - on
anti aliasing - on (keep off if your device cant handle it....i think this is why i get rare lag when i get it)
texture filtering - on (must turn this on to get smooth texture)
special frame limiter - on
G4 polygon cace - on (better fps when battle event)

Hi shamman i'm completely new to this whole fspe thing but i have a samsung galaxy s3 i have purchased fpse off the play store and dowloaded disk one and disk two of metal gear solid i have also downloaded a bio 'scph1001.bin' however when i go on the fspe and go on 'load game' and select disk one or disk two it loads the playstation starter screen then says 'insert cd-rom' where do i go from here? Im not sure how to use this site so if you wouldnt mind emailing me my email is [email protected] please and thankyou
What would be the best settings for FF Tactics?
I did pretty much the same settings as you guys did, and although it's a bit smoother now, it still lags like crazy during scene transitions and animations during special moves.
guys what is this and should I turn it on?
advanced blending
I am playing everything smoothly on galaxy note 2,both on stock and on ovrclocked settings(1.7GHz CPU,640MHz GPU)
Here are my best FPSE settings v. 0.11.93
After the update things went a bit screwy.
Though I was able to get things working properly except for the intro video in Chrono Cross or Lunar Silver Star Story. They appear black, but the sound runs fine. As far as other games like Tekken 3, Tobal 2, Bloody Roar 2, things are near perfect with texture blending, lighting and anti-aliasing. So I wanted to post my setting since it doesn't seem that anyone else was able to post any setting for my Galaxy Note 2 Sprint. Once again these are my best settings. If anyone has better ones please drop me a line. I hope this will help all my fellow Note 2'er closer to perfect psx emulation.
Cheers!
Hi guys,
On my galaxy s3 and note 10.1 fpse runs also with open gl settings very good but i have a problem with metal gear solid, at the beginning from the game when i go into the water the screen freezes but i can play, when i go out of the water the freezing screen is gone and i can play normaly....
Does anybody have also this problem???
Please help me, i dont know where in the game this problem appears again, hope for positive feedback what kind of setting turns this bug off.

Try switching alpha multipass off and mask bit. It could be also be a problem with advanced blending! Try to play around with the settings i posted and see if it helps

[GUIDE] How to run games smooth that lag on your Device

Ever wonder why your phone can't run a game smoothly as another device which has lower performance specifications? I sometimes ask myself this with 1.2ghz quad core cpu and powervr sgx544 gpu along with 1GB ram runs Asphalt 8 laggy at high or even medium settings? While a 480x800 HVGA phone runs it with better performance? See thats the problem right there a resolution of 720x1280 GPU will run slower than a 480x800 Same GPU. Why am I doing this well I got tired of hearing games not optimized for my gpu and seeing that lower end phones running games I cant run.
So i decided to do some research of my GPU and have understand that it's a capable GPU and then i thought to myself what if i can change game resolution for more performance similar to a PC or i tried HVGA games on my WVGA and it was faster. That was the moment i can run asphalt 8 on high settings now thanks to changing resolution. I have seen a lot of apps and saw where someone tried it and stuck at bootloop well this App is safe to use, although i can't guarantee that!
READ CAREFULLY!
Root Devices Required for this to work!
Requires root on Android 4.3 and higher.( i got 4.2 and it worked)
Google Play
NOMone Resolution Changer
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer ( i need 10 post total to insert links)
This app you can see your current settings to the top - Width x Height - DPI (Mines 720x1280 320dpi)
You can revert back to that default settings if you messed up or you can try a custom settings and if you can't see navigation bars or or even the virtual keys JUST PANIC OMG I'm just kding do nothing and it automatically reverts back in 10 seconds.
You can also choose a preset, there are from QVGA to WVGA resolutions.
Simply set a custom or preset settings and see it instantly activated no reboot required you don't have to go into build.prop file either.
1.) If app says superuser denied..go find superuser or SU# if u have it installed as an app and allow it manually.
2.) Changing resolution problems can happen if you lower your height resolutions your soft touch keys might not work, ENABLE virtual keys in app settings and tick the bars your going to need eg back, menu, task etc.
3.) If you happened to set a resolution and you select SKIP revert and your phone locks and half of the lock screen is cut off which means you cannot slide to unlock try sliding screen to right side my camera opens up and my phone is unlock again. I don't know about other devices so i ''HIGHLY RECOMMEND'' do not leave phone unattended for lock screen to activate. IF YOU DO SO restarting phone won't help you will be stuck.
You can try Different resolutions take a look here copy paste into address bar...pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/
Blu life play - 720x1280 (default)
changed resolution to something like 600x1280
Asphalt 8 Significance performance increased.
Nova 3 Runs smoother than before.
Blu life play - 720x1280 (default)
changed resolution to something like 320x480(dont look that bad its like 800x600 on 16:9 wide screen)
I can noticed fps is around 50-60 in Asphalt 8
This should work for all phones in the requirement field. It's like changing PC game resolution which increases fps according to the bottleneck.
Note : This is just a guide I'm not the owner of this app
and i don't take any responsibility if something happens to your phone.
hahaha
Well it worked for me lmfao :laugh:
I wonder if this is safe, can anyone post more feedback?
if it works 100%, thank you very much for sharing

[Q] Crombikk latest, fast games issue

Hello! I've installed the latest release of crombikk and it's wonderful! I've only a problem, some 2d games (don't touch the white tile an ball beating) runs very very fast (i guess about 3 time faster than normal, they're unplayable!) while others (flappy bird, geometry dash) runs normally. They appear just like movies in fast forward mode! What cause this and what should i do to solve this? thanks in advance!
This is my configuration: Crombikk current, that kernel v10, f2fs internal partitions, no rom2sd.

I can't find an app called ball beating, and there about 10 different versions it seems of don't tap the white tile. I tested a 2D one and it seems to play just fine. Perhaps you could be a little more specific as to what games are causing you problems?

Sorry for vagueness (and errors )! One game is "super ball batting" by hu wen zeng, the other is "don't tap the white tile" by the same autor. Thank you so much for your support!
I removed the fps limit from balanced and performance modes. If the games determine their speed from the fps that is a poor programming decision.
What happens if you run them in power saving mode?

Yep, i've been thinking that it would have been a kind of poor programming issue, because all other games works just fine! And the ones that has given me problems are made by the same author! Running them in power saving mode did the trick, thank you so much! However, i was wandering, Is there any way to turn on fps limit on balanced mode?

Not without editing the the ramdisk in the kernel But the point is you should be asking the author of the games to fix his crappy coding. Why should I limit the fps of my rom for some poorly programmed games which will then make other games run slowly....? :cyclops:
I never touched the fps of power saving mode so just use that for now

You can use simply notepad on your pc to edit that file and copy it in the device game directory OR can use any .json editor to edit the values in the device itself.
First of all, make sure that you change the override to "true" from "false". I use settings which are as follows:
{"override":true,"TIER_GLOBAL_HALF_TEXTURES":true,"TIER_GLOBAL_TEXTURE_MAXSIZE":1024,"TIER_GLOBAL_ANISOTROPIC_TARGET_HIGH":4,"TIER_GLOBAL_ANISOTROPIC_TARGET_LOW":4,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FOG":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_ROADSPECULAR":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FULLCORONAS":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_POSTLIGHTS":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_ROADSHADER_DETAIL_LEVEL":4,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_ROADDETAILMAP":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_REFLECTION_TYPE":2,"TIER_ENVIORNMENT_SHADOWINREFLECTION":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_REFLECTION_RESOLUTION":254,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_COLLIDABLES_IN_REFLECTION":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FRESNEL_BRIGHTENING":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_NORMALMAPS":false,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_SKIDS":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_RAINENABLED":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_MAXDISTANCE":400,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_LOD0_DISTANCE":100,"TIER_LIGHTING_DYNAMIC":true,"TIER_LIGHTING_SH":true,"TIER_LIGHTING_NITRO":true,"TIER_LIGHTING_NITRO_ENEMY":true,"TIER_LIGHTING_HEADLIGHTS":true,"TIER_CAR_FLAT":false,"TIER_CAR_ENABLEFOG":true,"TIER_CAR_DAMAGE_SCRATCHES":true,"TIER_CAR_NORMALMAPS":false,"TIER_CAR_WHEELBLUR":true,"TIER_CAR_DECAL_HIRES":false,"TIER_CAR_MERGEREARWHEELS":false,"TIER_CAR_LIGHTS_TRAILS":true,"TIER_CAR_CLEARCOAT":false,"TIER_CAR_MAXDISTANCE":100,"TIER_CAR_HIGHEST_LOD":1,"TIER_CAR_SHADER_DETAIL_LEVEL":4,"TIER_SOUND_AIENGINE":true,"TIER_SOUND_REVERBPRESETS":false,"TIER_SOUND_ROADBLOCK_SIRENS":true,"TIER_SOUND_48KHZ_OUTPUT":false,"TIER_EFFECTS_TRAFFIC":true,"TIER_EFFECTS_PARTICLES_HIGHQUALITY":true,"TIER_POSTFX_BUFFERSCALE":100,"TIER_POSTFX_BUFFERSCALE_EVENT":80,"TIER_POSTFX_BUFFERSCALE_ALLOWHALVE":false,"TIER_POSTFX_DYNAMIC_VINYLMAP":true,"TIER_POSTFX_COLORCORRECTION":false,"TIER_POSTFX_HYPERSPACE":true,"TIER_POSTFX_DOF":true,"TIER_POSTFX_DIRTYLENS":true,"TIER_POSTFX_RAINLENS":true,"TIER_HIGHEND_PROJECTED_HEADLIGHT_TEXTURE":true,"TIER_HIGHEND_SUBTRACTIVE_SH_LIGHT":true,"TIER_HIGHEND_DOF_AND_HYPERSPACE":true,"TIER_HIGHEND_POINT_LIGHTS":0,"TIER_HIGHEND_SHADOW_TYPE":0,"TIER_HIGHEND_RAINDROP_SHADER":true,"TIER_HIGHEND_SCREEN_RAIN_REFRACTION":true,"TIER_POSTFX_INTERMEDIARY_SIZE":30,"TIER_OCCLUSION_QUERY_DISABLE":false,"TIER_LENSFLARE_DETAIL_LEVEL":4,"TIER_LENSFLARE_MASTER_SCALE":50,"TIER_COLLIDABLES_DETAIL_LEVEL":4,"TIER_COLLIDABLES_MAXDISTANCE":150,"TIER_SHADER_COMPILE_CLEARCACHE":false,"TIER_USE_BINARY_SHADER_CACHE":false,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_RELFECTION_SIMPLESHADERLOD":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_COLLIDABLES":true,"TIER_CAR_PER_VERTEX_REFLECTION":true,"TIER_CAR_PER_VERTEX_BRDF":true,"TIER_CAR_EFFECTS_SHADER_QUALITY":4,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_NO_WINDOW_REFLECTION":false,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FAST_WET_ROAD":true,"TIER_POSTFX_FXAA":0,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_DISABLE_WET_ROAD":false,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FAST_SPECULAR":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_VERTEX_FOG":true,"TIER_ENVIRONMENT_FAST_RAIN":true,"TIER_FORCE_1X_UI":false,"TIER_NATIVE_BUFFER_WIDTH_LIMIT":1136}
I have come to this settings after a few hrs of testing the game on a couple of different settings.
If you have a high end and better device than Galaxy s4 then you can even set the "TIER_ENVIRONMENT_REFLECTION_TYPE" values greater than 2(Max value is 4 so don't use more than that). The game lags when i set it greater than 2.
Also, i've kept"TIER_POSTFX_COLORCORRECTION" at "false" because the gpu on my device powervr sgx544mp is not able to handle it even with exynos octacore cpu(extremly slow framerate on setting it to"true").
Keep "TIER_GLOBAL_TEXTURE_MAXSIZE" & "TIER_NATIVE_BUFFER_WIDTH_LIMIT" values to what is already set by default in your game's graphics settings.
MOST IMPORTANTLY the 'TIER_HIGHEND_POINT_LIGHTS" & "TIER_HIGHEND_SHADOW_TYPE" values are set to "0" because the game becomes unresponsive when loading the cars when the values are set at any values between "1" to "4" (happened in my device".
Rest of the options are pretty clear in itslef.Just cross check the options which i've listed specifically so that the game does not suffer extremely slow framerates or freeze.
One more thing to be noted is that same method can be used to lower the values and get excellent framerates(for low end devices). There's absolutely no need of gltools for this game... hope this helps

Try increasing "TIER_NATIVE_BUFFER_WIDTH_LIMIT" value to 2048.
Additionally, try setting "FXAA" to 4 .
Restart your device and play the game.
Hope this helps
I can't show my screenshot yet as i've got to go past 10 posts for that before XD

If your device is rooted you can try this app ( I personally used it and loved ) :
☣ CHAINFIRE 3D
With this app you can control the game textures, graphics detail, and other parameters to improve the gaming experience, and remove the lags.
( NOTE - The app has been removed from playstore)
Hit thanks if you found this useful!
Peace ✌

Anyway not increased I think its a phone issue..
I have another question I used version 1.0.48 on i9100 (mali) there is no graphicssetting.jason in data file of nfs ,only a file is last run or something. ..
Is that due to old version? ??
I used version 1.1.7 in adreno. Also there is 300 mb data file in adreno.. is that a gpu issue or something related that???
If updated the version for mali can I get graphicssetting.jason file in data folder of nfs????

Yes, that is due to 1.0.48 being an older version, so when you'll update it that file would be there.
As for adreno i'm not sure because i haven't seen the files for it yet (lack of availabilty of adreno device XD :x )

Hi everyone, can someone tell me which settings should i not modify for a Moto X? Thanks in advance
All of that is useless. All changes I made are overwritten each time I run the game. And details are low. F**ck them.
