[App][2.1+] Pill Reminder - Android Apps and Games

Looking for a great pill reminder app?
Or, really any kind of reminder app?
Sick of the ad-filled apps out there?
Finally, an excellent reminder app has come to Android.
Easily set weekly or daily reminders. Browse your schedule on the page on the right. Get beautiful, expandable notifications when it is reminder time, set your own reminder sound, and even get LED notifications.
I think you will love it, so try it. I am making it free, and, if you like it, please leave a 5-star review for me.

Considering how often I get sick and my (lack of) memory, this is all I need. :good:

[Q] Awesome Apps/Widgets ideas!!!

Hello,
I'm new here and I see a very smart guys around...I would like you to challange to give me some new, fresh ideas of apps/widgets. Doesn't matter how strage, crazy or funny is!
Can you do this?
Best regards
1) A srollable widget in witch you can place icons or other widgets so it acts like an app drawer
2) An app that can control an other android device like a remote control (already there for pc's). For axample: you can control your tablet that is connected to a tv.
As you said idea may sound crazy so would be great if you develop an app that cover the naked bodies when a porn website is opened on your device.

I don't think that would be possible with an application.
I think thats more of something that would need to be developed by the website owners.

You obviously know nothing of image recognition. That's actually quite a simple task, for a seasoned developer, using existing (and publicly available) libraries.
Maybe not actual clothing, but it could certainly cover nudity.
make a widget 1x1, 2x1, 4x1 size (or any suitable) that shows missed call count, unread sms and emails
should display something like:
(in 1 row) 2 calls, 1 sms, 2 emails
or
(in a column)
2 calls
1 sms
2 emails
or
instead of text, put small icons
then ability to hide if count is zero or change color if number is greater than zero.
don't forget to have ability to choose email inbox (if many are used)
for 2x1 widget, add ability to have battery percentage display and next alarm (this can easily fit if icons for missed, unread "stuff" is used)
The idea is to have a small, yet very informative widget that packs only important information: missed call, unread sms and email, battery level, next alarm. and ability to configure each information (color, position, icon, ability to hide)
I'm sure if this is implemented (or at least 50%), people will like it!
Nothing crazy but just a music control widget (► Play ▌▌ Pause ■ Stop) for google listen and maybe a universal control for whatever is playing at the moment.
Great!!! Keep it up!!!
Thank you guys!!! Very nice.
You are creative minds, more ideas, please, come on!!!
I would like to develop a very good application, original, useful and funny and can offer a prize (like money) for the best idea.
I think I can set up a "Top 20" Ideas and to the first 3 some to offer prizes.
What do you think?
Best regards

Interesting...
1. Do you mean a launcher? There are some very good launchers (LauncherPro).
2. Like an Android Remote Control (something like VNC or Remote Desktop)?
Beast regards
I have one, and that, is to create music controls from the notification bar. Not sure if it involves a widget ;/ but would be great if someone could make it possible.
From a device that's quite unique. The backflip.
Doesn't simi folder widget already cover 1?

Augmented reality?
What about augmented reality? Some ideas? What is your opinion about it?
Something using sensors, camera, gps?
No offense - if some people know more than others, it doesn't mean they have got a license to degrade others. Come on add some wit and real fun in your lives too. He said go crazy and give ideas, every body participated just like I did. At least my words made some of you smile and I believe what I wanted, I got.
I just wrote to make such application in fun; but since now top 3 ideas gonna have some prize too, so I'm gonna think deeply after my Monday's exam Chill folks.

[Q] about Gun bros
I am motorola milestone user and I use CM7 11-02-18 's ROM. I have problem with GUN BROS game I can not play it.I can open the game but when the game try loading to begin it crash to desktop .Someone help me please.i like this game.
thank you
Please please please please please make a Google Talk widget! Tons of people want this but it seems like no one is up for making a widget.
A good widget would maybe being able to view your messages or quickly reply to messages using the widget without launching gTalk itself.
Going further, maybe a better gTalk client in itself that allows for popup windows and quick replies. There are tons of apps/widgets like this for SMS, just wish gTalk got some love as it is used fairly widely.
I'd say it would be a surefire way to rake in some dough as there is absolutely no competition on the market. There is only client available is the official gTalk client (not counting multi-protocol IM clients) and only 1 gTalk widget on the market (status changer).
How about the ability to take a picture of documents with your camera and be able to use the data in excel. Sort of a text to column app using your camera. $$$

[Q] Your favourite Mango feature.

I presume most of us have Mango now officially or unofficially so as the title states, what is your favourite feature?
Unrelated note; if anyone wants an invite to Google+ PM me
There are lots of little things I'm really enjoying, but I'll at least narrow the list down to two:
a) The ability to only require a lockscreen password after a set time interval. Surprisingly useful!
b) Improved ListBox behaviour. Makes AlphaJax ad many other apps a joy to use instead of a jerky mess!
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
err.. the ability to search contact by company name ahahahah...
and office skydrive ...
Even though the mult-tasking isn't actually working yet, I am enjoying having a way to switch between different tasks/apps quickly, instead of hitting the back button a bunch of times. It will be really nice once the actual multi-tasking portion is working.
1. The timed interval for password from the locked screen,
2. Unified inbox.
3. Pretty good bar code reader in Bing. Wish it would bring up a few more/better shopping results.
The new Bing utilities are great.
Multitasking & all the API's released to developers in general. Will allow for many things I've wanted.
Updated email & calendar - linked inboxes, threaded emails, birthday/holiday/facebook calendars all important to me.
New voice commands & dictation
Ability to add groups, and group features (group email ect)
Save settings in Camera
Full skydrive sync
Those are the big ones, but the whole thing seems amazing so far.

Id like to see an x on each window to close or swipe up or down to close...

Ie9 is my favorite upgrade. I like that the OS performance is better in most areas. I like the new Bing features and more informative tiles.
I like the new phone layouts for placing and taking calls.
Like that I can switch and app, but no 3rd party aps take advantage from it yet as they all have to resume... and looking for a way to close apps in the task manager....
There are more but I'm tired of typing
Sent from my Windows Phone Mango Focus using Board Express
hi
large buttons!
1. Xbox live screen
2. merged inboxes
1. new xbox live
2. custom friggin ringtones! ( still trying to figure out how to get the custom alert sounds working)
3.IE is way better!
EDIT: for some reason, the podcast downloading from the phone doesnt work. says i need to check my data connection.
So is IE9 faster for everyone? Because it is straight up balls for me >.<
Not only is it faster but it also loads the pages correctly (Finally) my favourite feature has to be threads, it is so damn useful
1.Multitasking (Adding X button will be Perfect)
2.Groups
3.Chatting in Facebook and Hotmail
4.Save Camera Options
5.Linked emails
6.Software speed
7.New way to shutdown the device by sliding the lock screen down after pressing shutdown button.
8.New Layout
9.Grouping app Alphabetically
10.Battery Saver
On the other hand, Some languages still not supported
Search result doesn't find anything
Noway to backup SMS
Still some errors as it is a beta version.
Audio Confirmations
Audio Confirmations! Especially when the locksreen is on and the voice asks you, "would you like to read, reply, or ignore the text".
This is a feature you have to enable in "Speech Settings". It is very useful. You can set it to always on, Bluetooth and Headsets, Bluetooth Only, or wired headset. Give it a try....
IMO the most impressives are :
1. The Unified Message system...
Now all messages (and i mean all SMS-MMS-Facebook-Win Live) are in one place and have the same way of working.
If you try to text a contact the system tells you if he is online (FB or Messanger) and offers to send the message via them.
2. Contacts and Groups. Make a group (family or friends) and put some ppl in the group.
Then pin the group to start page. Fisrt it will give you a fast dialing option for them, and the most impressive
is that any message or FB event/notification or fotos that comes from one of those ppl on the group
will be there live with nice rotating animation.
You must try this ...its Fantastic
I like the new Zune player with Smart DJ.
Social Notifications and Groupings...
This is my favorite. If I have a family group it lists the updates from Facebook or Live which is nice to see. No longer is it necessary to go through a useless FB list in search of specific components about people I want to know about (impossibly difficult to do with any lengthy FB contact list.)
General Social notifications - if someone makes a comment on your picture in FB or in Live I like how the ME tile becomes useful by flipping over and giving you the notification. This is extremely useful to stay on top of the things you care about.
Pictures
I like the dynamic change of the tile - it's a nice eye candy feature
Turning a online gallary picture into a wallpaper is easy without copying to the phone
The people hub is pretty nice to see all your top contacted friend's picture quickly and easily
IE9 - much improved - EXTREMELY better
Local Scout - cool as hell
MOST USED TOOL - Voice to Text for SMS - absolutely killer feature with almost a 90% accuracy rating on short phrases.
Too many to list..
Here are my favorites in no particular order -
1. Shortcut to "Now Playing" on the volume drop down for music
2. unified messaging via Threads
3. Bing Vision
4. Updated zune player w/ "Related" artists and smart DJ, clearly marked downloadable songs for zune pass
5. Faster application and game installs
6. Improved Xbox live interface

[APP][Free] Simple Reminders

Hi, this is a small app I made to remind myself to do things that don't have a set due date or deadline.
About the app
A simple app to keep you on top of things. Type in your reminder and click create, and the reminder will stay in your notification tray until you clear it. It's a simpler and more efficient way to manage things. There's no way to set a reminder for an event(Read: household tasks, school related things) that doesn't have a deadline, so the solution is to keep the event in your notifcation tray until you clear it. People glance at the notification area everytime they turn on the phone, so it's impossible to miss the reminder that Simple Reminders creates. This app is most useful for students but it can also be useful for adults.
Example
You have to buy milk the next time you go to the grocery store. No one makes plans to the grocery store, you just go when you have free time. Regular reminder apps can't remind you to get milk because they don't know when you're going to the store. Simple Reminders gets around this by keeping a notification in the tray that you'll notice when you're going to the store.
About the developer
I'm a 16 year old high school student learning java/android programming in my spare time.
Feel free to leave any feedback/tips/concerns.
I'm a huge fan of simple apps that take care of basic things such as this, bychance would this work on a Nexus 7 and are there any widgets for it as well? It would work great on my lockscreen
Just tried it, pretty good but please add the option to make the reminder sticky if need be as swiping them clears the notification away (obviously not good if you accidentally cleared the notification area)
Oh and please add the option of a black and white theme to the creation page
Many thanks
EDIT: Before I forget, there's a typo in the apps options page. Should be "created" not "creator" :good:

[APP][4.0.3+] Dog Advisor: a simple and funny reminder tool

Hello!
Our Yalos development team is currently working on a small but very useful App called „Dog Advisor“
You can find it here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.advisor.advisor.advisor
Current version: 1.1.4
Supported Android versions: 4.0.3 or higher
Supported languages: English, Russian
Category: Entertainment
App type: shareware
It's a combination of a useful reminder tool that helps you to control such important events like missed phone calls or unnoticed sms-messages with a funny Dog buddy that lives in your smartphone and entertains you like a kind of digital pet. Most of the time the Dog remains invisible but as soon as one of the events happens, it appears on the screen and reminds you about the missed event with a funny cartoon style animation. Besides that the dog can entertain the user by different animated scenes on the smartphone screen like sleeping, eating, reading a newspaper or doing sport exercises. All together it creates the impression of a friend that moved into your smartphone.
The App has many settings that allow to define all notification and entertainment functions according to the requirements of each single user. If necessary, you can disable the sound effects and the dog will remind about the events with a closed mouth. You can also set up a “quiet time” - a time interval when the Dog works only in a silent mode. This is especially important for the night time or weekends. If you don't want to see the dog on the screen, you can simply wipe it away with your finger. If you press the dog, it will show you the screen referring to the current notification type (calls list, messages, calendar or alarm clock menu)
Currently supported events are:
missed phone calls
unread sms-messages
calendar events
built-in alarm clock
We are constantly working on new features and would like to hear some new impressions about our app. In future we plan to develop the Advisor into a big assistant app that will help with many different functions, we also want to create new characters to chose from. Sadly it's impossible to work on all appearing ideas at the same time so maybe you will also share your thoughts on the features that you feel are extremely missing now?
The app is shareware but the 14-days trial version has no functional limitations and works exactly like the full version which can be purchased after the trial period.
We are looking forward to your comments, ideas or maybe critical remarks about our app! Thanks!

[APP] F-Chops WeatherPod - weather app for android ***PROMO CODES***

So I did some searching on the forum and noticed that its been a long time since anyone mentioned a weather app of any kind. Its been at least a year since the last mention, so I thought I would bring mine up.
My app is called F-Chops WeatherPod. Its a full featured weather app with all the same usual stuff as everyone else. I don't put my weather info on top of a pretty picture like Yahoo does, I don't have a lot of money to back it like The Weather Channel does. What I do have is a smart ass remark with each forecast, and the Stinkin' Badges check in game.
I put in over 200 smart ass remarks, and depending on the current weather it will randomly pull one up with the forecast. You don't get "its ****ing hot outside" when its snowing like another app I know does. Some of the remarks do contain adult language, but not all.. I'm just sayin.. but nothing too over the top or tasteless. More for humor and effect.
The Stinkin' Badges check in game allows you to earn points and unlock badges. Think of the old FourSquare check ins, only these unlock depending on the current weather, as well as a few other special cases. It's a way to engage the user into the app and make checking the weather interesting, if not even fun. Weather apps are typically as boring as the weather, and I try to change that.
The forecasts are fast and accurate, you can check the weather for anywhere in the world, the interface is simple and clean.
The website address is https://wtfsoftware.us ..can't post an outside link yet because I am new.. so copy and paste away.
I invite all XDA users to visit our website for a free promo code.. simply click the red "Special Offer" badge. Watch the videos for more information. Check out the app and please feel free to leave me feedback here. Suggest away, I am here for your help in improving my app.
