Hi,
Is it possible to change the emoticons system wide? I really don't like the black and white emoticons and would like them replaced with the more colorful renditions. Is it possible to make this change system wide instead of only a few apps taking advantage of it (ex: Whatsapp, etc.)
Thanks.
P.S.: Running CM10.2 on my Nexus 4.
P.P.S.: Also another question and some doable way proposed on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416272

Hello everyone, I am an Italian partially sighted, and then I have big problems of view. I note with regret that Android is very configurable, but with more difficulty.
I have a HTC Desire with root privileges.
I would simply like to change most of the interface, not pleasure, but to use it, for example, I have to change anything that has white background with black background and then put white text, here's a list:
- Change backgrounds with blacks and whites to white text (it is called high-contrast)
- Change buttons with clear background and insert new ones with black background and white text
- A little larger all the characters
- Enlarge icons
- Have all black keyboard with white keys
- Have different software with a black background and white text
How do you see there.
I am a programmer and I also know Java and I have the android SDK installed, the only lacks experience in this system since I got two days ago.
I installed without success, Open Home, in the sense that I did not get good results.
Can you help?
I am willing to install something already done or create something from scratch I just do not know where to start, I know that Android is based on the topics of XML, but I do not know where in the system, such as retrieve and re-enter .
Excuse me for my bad english
Thank you all.
Ale
Hi All,
I have done a ton of searching the last few days and still have not come up with a specific answer. I am looking to link my lock screen font to a new font, and not just change or replace the font.
I am running a Moto DroidX with 2.3.3 (605) and using Go Launcher EX... just incase any of it matters.
My clock is not pulling from Clockopia.ttf, instead its pulling from the same font the rest of the system is (such as notifiers and such), and that is DroidSans-Bold. To test and make sure I was correct, I replaced the DroidSans with some wacky font, and it turned every peiece of system based font into the wacky one, clock and notifications included.
Because of this I am unable to easily change just the clock font. I wanted to replace the clock font with an invisible one so I could have a simple and easy way for my lock screen to look directly at my home screen with no clutter. I have read a few apps let you replace the lock screen, but don't really want to run anything new as a constant process just to hide a font. I'm also satisfied with the basic structure and functionality of the default lock screen minus the time and verizon banner. Does anyone know the specific config file and location where I can specify which font the lock screen pulls from?
Are there any apps, free or paid, that will help me accomplish this exact task? What I most liked about the invisible font was that it's easily reversible and all I had to do was backup the original font file. I've already bought several good utilities and am not affraid to pay for one more as long as it does what I want in a simple and reversible way... and Ideally will not run anything full time backround services.
Thanks.
Booo! No takers with some info on this one?
Hi there. Rather noobish question: would I be able to replace my current stock emojis with the ones that can be found on Facebook messager. Would I be able to build a emoji pack that will do this? I just like those emojis and want to have them system wide.
One of the main reasons I rooted my phone is to get the iOS emojis, as I personally dislike Samsung's take on them. The only issue is that when I install the iOS emojis from Magisk Manager, the system font is also affected, as it becomes bold (will provide screenshots). If anyone knows how to fix this, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :good:
Before VS After (notice boldness in status bar and weather widget is cut off)

When Theme is changed from Default on Galaxy S8/8+, the ability to set various attributes, like folder background color, is disabled. Unsure if deficence in the configuration of Theme or a system quirk. So to keep configurability, I've keep default and change wallpaper & icons. But I also want to change Dialer, Contacts, and other views to be more lively than drab default view. Is it possible without going through learning how to develop an entire Theme?
Say like using ADB to prod/poke certain variable settings?
