I am looking for a way to get permanent recovery on my Xperia J without having to change the rom itself.
I've been looking for a solution to add recovery to latest stock firmware 11.2.A.0.31 but to no avail.
I am thinking of using FXP kernel with stock ROM - is it a proper way to do this?
Or is there any other way to get recovery for Xperia J I am missing?
you cannot use fxp kernel with stock rom.
Use vengeance kernel

I wouldn't be so optimistic if we even don't have working CWM for stock JB
Still we can able to enter CWM with root or temporary ways.
So I think we have to wait some more...
Also, what do you think about CM10 FXP210's kernel guys?
I don't know much details about FXP's kernel.
Is it new or (implemented) old one?

CWM for JB doesn't work. It only boots
But I have used CM 10 FXP210 JB and CWM too...
Only thing I hate about CM10 is why they remowed Sony programs...?
Is it the redistrutable issue?
Cause I missed my walkman, timescape and some other tools and go back to the ofw...
Thanks to Sony they released official 4.1.2 or else I str8ly go back to the 4.0.4...

I am looking for CyanogenMod ICS Rom for my xperia J.
I found few threads on CM10 JB Rom which I tried. But, with JB my phone runs slow...
It would be a grat help if there is any CM ICS for ST26i & if you give a link for that.
FXP did not develop cm9/9.1 for Xperia j and no one else ported it either.

As most ROMs are made using FXP CM as a base, there are almost none good/mature ICS roms.
Also, most users say, that Stock ICS from Sony is best firmware you can get.
If you want ICS, why not stick to Sony's firmware, with some good custom kernel, like in example Vengeance?

You need a Rom based on stock kernel for locked bootloader which I don't think there is yet
Now I using CM rom Purecyanogenmod + R1 base so can My tipo flashing Gimlo stock & Gimlo rom directly without flashing ICS firmware? I also want use Xperianexus but I don't know it working or not anyone help me if just flash it directly
