Suddenly lost haptic keyboard vibration as well as with the capacitive buttons.
Any thoughts?
Did you enabled power save?

Settings>Sound>Vibrate on touch
Tried all the usual settings first before posting and nothing worked. Finally banged the phone against the table and it works again.

A coworker recently purchased a Transformer and I noticed that his on screen keyboard is VERY loud when he types. It's so loud, that it is actually annoying. By comparison, mine is very quiet/subtle. We have compared the volume in apps/videos and they are the same.
Is there a way to adjust the volume of the clicking sound of the on screen keyboard? Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks
As far as I can tell the Asus Software Keyboard only allows you to disable to sound entirely. You can do that by going to
Settings> Language and Input> Configure Inputs Methods> Asus Keyboard> Settings

I KNOW its pissing me off. it's either on and blasting at 100% or off. Hope they post a fix or also you to set the volume lvl.
The volume rocker broke on it? Mine can lower the volume just fine.
Grab Audiomanager from the market. It enables you to set the volume of many things that aren't exposed in the stock settings.

The power button of my i9023 completely died so I remapped the search button as power button by modifying the key layout file in /system/usr/keylayouts/ but it seems that hardware touch keys are inactive when the screen is off.
Is there a way to enable them? I already tried adding the WAKE flag but it doesn't work.

These keys are not kept on when the screen is off. You'd be better using something such a volume wake (wake phone by pressing vol + or -) instead. Lots of roms have it in their options.

I already have the volume wake but it doesn't work when listening to music so I installed Tap Tap to unlock also with the proximity sensor; this thread was more for curiosity and aesthetic reasons than for real need.
So, from what I understand, that behaviour is hardware related thus impossible to be changed by software.
Hm, I have one question, is something like this:[KERNEL]Slide 2 Wake possible on our device?

I believe it would need to be implemented in the kernel. I don't think anybody took the time to check deep enough to do that for our Nexus.
Kinda wish we had it too.
Is it just me experiencing problems with Mini haptic feedback? For me it only works on password fields.
I have played with haptic feedback settings in sound menu and also in keyboard/sense input menu with no effect.
Any suggestions?

Volume Rocker, Camera Button, and "Vibrate on Touch" setting all stopped working Z5P
I noticed while I was at work today that all 3 of these things stopped working at approximately the same time after they were all working earlier today. The volume rocker will not adjust the volume and also will not work as the zoom button when the camera app is opened. The only way for me to adjust the volume (ring, media, or alarm) is to go into the volume settings which is a major pain in the ass. The camera button will not open the camera app and also will not take pictures. When the button is pushed with the camera app open nothing happens. I was taking pictures earlier in the day and everything worked fine. Lastly I noticed that the vibration feedback on the screen stopped. I tried turning the Vibrate on Touch setting on and off but nothing, and I also restarted the phone but nothing.
Anyone else experience any of these issues?

The volume, power button, camera button and vibratation motor are attached as one module to the motherboard, it could be that the wiring broke at the volume rockers and subsequently caused the 3 parts to fail. I suggest getting it checked out

Eh not what I was hoping to hear lol. Thanks. This phone has been craptastic since day 1, I haven't had it a month. I wish I would have returned it and just ate the restocking fees.
Pretty disappointing considering how great my Xperia Z Ultra was.
Hello. Has anyone come across a double vibration when typing? Sometimes this is also found in gesture control.
For me it's the reverse, sometimes it doesn't vibrate for each key

Make the vibration stronger and the problem disappears
