i have android 2.3.5 and i can´t get acces through a VPN to my fritzbox. If i upgrade my desire s to any 4.x Android, will it be possible to access the fritzbox? I need a special kind of VPN (ipsec something) which is not available in 2.3.5
Can anyone help?

Thx, good Hint. Unfortunately i need a rooted phone for vpnc widget. is there maybe another app without this requirement?

and i bought a new version of gremote application
but it doesent work for me
anybody can write full guide for me ?
i install the lastest version http://gbmsoftware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=6
but in profile setting in client version . device can not find my PC
and i try to enter ip manually .. but it doesent work
please help

Perhaps you should contact the company that makes the software?
You paid for it, therefor you should be able to get some support from them...

I have read all the possible threads on this issue but with no luck.
Please help.
I bought my Xperia X10 in Abu Dhabi, now I know that the Android Market is not available in the UAE for certain reasons, I am just hoping that someone might have found a way around this.
I do not want to flash or root my phone.
Isnt there any other way of installing the market manually?
I am in South Arica on holiday at the moment, will it be possible to do it from here?

Try to find Android Market app and install it, like usual app.
Some posts have Google apps in zip form to d/load, eg freeXperia. Just download the apps and unzip

i had the same issue and i couldnt solve it but you can try another market applications like applanet which work great for me

Thanks guys, I ended up updating my phone again and re installing all my apps. It worked, after the update the Android Market was automatically there.

Guys i installed this rom ... with the RUU update to Android 4.0.4 ICS
Does not work anymore 'wi-fi static ip, so I would like to go back to 2.3.5 ...
Where the hell do I find the rom 2.3.5? and which version should I flash?
Sorry again .. then the method to restore the rom and 'the same one used to put Ice Cream Sandwich official (use HTC Sync)?

Please learn to read before asking questions that have been asked and answered a hundred times before.
Of course you can give your Wi-Fi a static IP, it's just done differently.

so sorry .. I have already set 'static ip ..
the desire will not connect to internet with the browser and even for updating the weather data and account but
I give you another information .. with filezilla PC connects with the desire ..
seems to be a problem that I set dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
I can not find the solution help me ...

I tried all the guides hboot 2.00.0002 nothing to do I can not

This is very easy, you can only install a separate android launcher and then install apks later on. Rooting is not really helpful
