Secret menu on settings [4.1.2] - Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III Developer Discussion

TRIED ONLY ON 4.1.2
Hi guys a little 'time ago while I was losing time creating shortcuts with an app, I have found this path that leads to a menu that I've never seen before: com.android.settings.Settings$PowerSettingsActivity
I think it's a secret menu and i made some screenshots
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Amaziing
There is an option to a fast power on that doesn't work at all... I tried that option but the only thing it has done is rebooting every time I tried to turn the phone off.
I didn't try anything else but i think that scheduled shutdown would work.. Can anyone study this menu better than me? (I'm a noob)
Guys, use apps like quick shortcut maker because they allow to analyze in depth the app. In addition to this I found other menus of low importance as the guide to quick glance and one hand tutorial :silly:

It is probably related to the Galaxy Camera.

Oh yes

There also is a kernel config option for FAST_BOOT. Compiling with it now. Let's see what happens

What did you do to make your device reboot after power off?
If i choose fast boot, and then turn the device off, it's off as always, even with my kernel having fast boot enabled
Seems like this really doesn't work at all

[CM9] Every barcode scan app broken?

Hi,
I attached a screenshot what I see when I use different barcode scanner app's. It's possible to scan, but it doesn't look good in the preview. My normal camera app's are fine. So the scan app's must use a different mode of the camera. Right?
How can I fix this?

Im not sure what device you use but the CM9 nightly on the 17th for my N7000 fixed that issue.
It's an issue with your rom.

Have you tried Google Goggles? Somewhere in the magical world of internet I read that Goggles works well with CM9 (can't test it myself though)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.unveil&hl=en
But yeah, as somebody already mentioned, it's a problem with your rom.

nothing else for now.
next version might contain "widgets,delete button, the ability to change wallpaper"
I will stay tuned for this. It is currently not suitable for xhdpi as it seems.

Based on my big picture mod (big circle), but here was added a lot of graphical changes.
It was very hard working and now your dial screen can look right sexy
Note:
To get the full screen dark (including the bottom part), choose in Settings black color for navi-buttons

Screencast

Have you tried to reset the chromecast? and/or clear the cache/data for the chromecast app. Maybe all you need is a system cache clean. You should ask this in the Q&A and not in the general forums.
I Do not have a chromecast. But my TV isready for mirroring. Or is my root / Unlocked bootloader blocking mirroring?
In that case, is it passable to relock the bootloader?
P. S. Pease move my thread to q&a @MOD. Thank you and sorry
Gesendet von meinem SHIELD Tablet K1 mit Tapatalk
Hmm I don't think root would break it. I dunno bud.
I'm not a moderator so you're probably best to take this down, since no one has responded except for us, and repost to the Q&A.
Hope you find a solution.

i have the same problem!
how to resolve?
I am also trying to mirror my new Nvidia shield K1 to a tronsmart 1000 device and I get the exact same screen as OP above when looking for devices. This is the first time I've tried to do this since getting the tablet so I can not determine if it worked on previous version of shield or android. Got this tablet at xmas and updated to marshallow straight away before trying out mirroring via miracast. Definitely not my receiver with the issue as my phone works fine with it!

Does the image stay persistent or shift places? Don't want to see screen burns if it remains at the same spot...

Been looking for something like this for a very long time. Used to add fullscreen custom image to AOD on my old Nokia 1520.
1. What are the features of the prime version? Are we able to add our custom images?
2. How do I purchase the prime version?
Thanks
