Android Car radio music player - Android General

Hi all
I bought an Android Car radio from ebay.
(Sorry seems I cant post links yet, but if needed I can surely make a plan)
A problem I have is the music player. It came installed with 3 players all named "Music", the only working one has a icon of a piano (i can post screenshots if needed). The working player has all the files listed in reverse numbering mode, lets say it starts at 20 and goes down to 01. For example im listening to song #15 in the player and press the next button or after the song is finished it goes to number 14.
All the other apps is fine in this order except it does not respond to my "Prev" and "Next" button while multitasking. Another bigger problem is those apps does not disable the previous audio and hence is muted. Say for example I am listening to the radio and want to listen what I have on the USB, I click the music player and then the radio still plays with the music player muted. If I start with the music player and then go to the radio both plays simultaneously. And lastly while navigating the music should play and only mute when the navigation app speaks (turn left, turn right in 600m....)
The one music player does all this except for the reverse numbering of files/songs, and I cannot find a menu to change the display of this, and I cannot find a update for this in google play or anywhere.
Anyone out here to help?
Thank you

You should take a look at this thread instead of creating a new one.
There's plenty of chinese Android car stereo info in that thread, including workarounds for the defects you mention.

W100 and WM6 Official (ANZ Release)

Hi All, Just a general interest post..
The W100 headphones appear to function very nicely in the official WM6.
Now when you tap the power button to turn off screen / lock keys my music keeps playing under windows media.
As for earbuds I am using a set from a SE w800i headset. Would not satisfy any audiophiles but they are ok for me and the length is perfect for the W100.
Have had some problems with Media Player Music Library
I just delete:
-Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM
and it is all ok again..
I found the workaround from xda-developers - always pays to search..
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/28840468/wmp11-and-windows-mobile.aspx
Not quite as good for me...
When I turn off the screen the music keeps playing, but only till the end of the song I'm listening to. Will not play any other songs until after I turn on screen.
Not a biggie really.

Have not had this problem.. If i select a library / album it plays till all songs are done..
Just as a side note today i had an album playing with TomTom running at the same time (sceen on) and voice prompts were playing over the music with any issues.
Other the TT i have not played with any settings all is default load.
You're Right
If you select album it will play the whole album through while screen is off.
I was having a problem because I was trying to play all the music on my mini SD in shuffle mode.
Seems that the screen needs to be on in order to shuffle the music.
I'll keep testing.
Hmmm that's weird. The problem seems to have fixed itself.
Don't know what I did exactly...have hard resetted several times since flashing. Different software combinations seemed to have adverse effects.
But I've noticed things more stable since I upgraded from SPB Shell Mobile v1 to v1.5.
Could just be coincidence though. Either way I'm happy it's working like it should
I seem to have this problem. I;ve not got shuffle mode on.
Also notice if I select album to play and then pause then play again the problem occurs.
Need to do some more testing but would be interested to know what others have found.
Also I have the W100 which people are complaining about. It does what its meant to with WMP and if I can overcome this play problem then I don't see a problem it is doing its job.
Capeli - i noted in some other thread you got a W100 too. what's your view on it now you've used it a while?
Problem with keepting screen off...
Hello~
I wonder whether anyone else has similar issues but...
For me... when ever I press any button to adjust "volume", "Fw/Rw", "Pause/Play" etc...
Screen just turns itself on~.
I just hope that there is way to keep screen off whilest making any adjustments on wmp...
Hope HTC will provide updated cab file to resolve this if this is common
issue with everyone.

People are complaining because the w100 only works with wmp and most people don't use it. It's library sucks, the screen turns on, there's no "exit player", etc... How hard would it be to allow the W100 to work with other software? :\

HELP ! how to make the music player keep playing even the machine goes sleep

the problem i face is same as the title, i want the music keep playing even while i press the power button.
i have tried pocketplayer, S2P, kinoma, HTC audio manager (manilla2d built-in) and they stop while i press the power button to put the machine to sleep mode.
i search in google but i can not find suitable articles for me.
is there anything i could do with my machine ? i am using hermes with manilla 2d rom, but before i flash this rom, everything just fine, but now, it makes me so annoying that i need keep press power button every few mins .
I use S2P and S2U2 and have set S2U2 to only blank the screen and not power off totally after 45 seconds (you can just change this to the time you want). That way I can just let the display time out and the music keeps playing. I think you can use any music player along with S2U2 this way and keep the music playing with the display off.
Pocket Player works for me
I use pocket player, and that function works fine for me. Just make sure to change the sttings : menu>more>options>advanced>power options
The only problem I have had is with the newest version. The music keeps playing when I use the power button, but I can't control playback functions like I could in version 3.6
I wouldn't recommend any other player. I use pocket player on a daily basis for my work. I do floor contracting/installation. I listen all day through bluetooth headset(function supported by pocket player without adding any other programs like BT toggle). Also has EQ and a lot of plugins(support winmedia plugins as well).
Might sound like a salesman, but I've tried them all and pocket player is the best. I hope somebody figures a way to make HTC home support
Try buying a new phone, something like a smartphone that can play music while the phone is asleep.

Independent Navigation (or all app) volume control?

The newest versions of Google Maps and Navigation have combined the Navigation volume with the Media Volume. I've read that by rolling back the version of the app to somewhere around 5.7 - 5.8, you can get your separate Nav and Media volume back, however I'd like to keep the latest version. Is there an app somewhere that allows for control of individual application volumes (similar to the newer versions of Windows' volume mixer)? I'd like to be able to separate the voice and media again.
Thanks,
Dan

Or get the Pro version.
I use this app to keep the damned speaker phone volume being linked the call volume.

Close but no cigar. This app only allows volume control of existing system functions like media, notifications, ringer, etc. Since the latest versions of Google Maps cram voice navigation and media (music, etc) into the same category, I can't control them independently.
A little back story:
I have a new motorcycle helmet with bluetooth capability. I need to be able to hear the navigation over my music. I'd turn music off and JUST have navigation, BUT... there is a delay between the navigation speaking and the bluetooth realizing it and switching back on from an idle/sleep mode, resulting in me missing directions.
What I want is for pandora to play sweet and soft tunes into my earholes while I'm riding, and for me to be able to crank the navigation volume WAY THE HELL UP so I can hear it. With the audio constantly playing through it I won't have the bluetooth wake-from-rest problem that I have using navigation alone.

It's been awhile, so I don't know if my memory serve me right. But there is a hidden menu for the audio settings for the Charge. If you do a search for the code, once you in, you can set the volume for navigation and media volume to balance out. There should be a threads in this forum for the recommended settings. Good luck.

The hidden menu option looks like it works (I can still do test mode, screen debugging, etc) but the dialer code for the audio menu no longer works (I'm on FP1, stock debloated).
Back to square one.
I'd rather have the app I'm looking for than try to hack the audio settings.
Well, I have finally found someone with EXACTLY similar problem!
I also ride a motorcycle and also listen to the music while riding and ALSO use Google Navigation!! Long ago there were good days when some version of GMaps/Navigation had a separate volume control but now it's gone.
It is impossible to hear anything with the music playing. I have tried several workarounds - one of them is to use PowerAmp and to force it to pause music every time any "other" sound plays. It didn't work. Or, well, technically it did, but the difference in volume levels between the music and navigation was so high, that I couldn't hear a thing.
I see a lot of people posting thingies like Super-Beats, Super-Duper-Beats, Super-Duper-Awesome-Beats, claiming that this is some sort of "audio driver" that is getting installed "on the system level" so that the sound is better/louder/deeper/crispier. I guess what we need is a similar solution, that would just add more "audio channels" - a separate one for Navigation, probably for smth else.
Is it at all doable?
Cheers'n'thanks!
PS: I am on Samsung Galaxy Nexus, JB AOKP b4

I have found that while I'm listening to my music via the Music Play app, the song volume mutes while making the notification sound (the music does not pause though).
see if that helps.

anybody use black player?

Just got a pixel 2 and i have always used Black Player for one key reason. When im playing music via Bluetooth, and i get a notification, it only lowers the volume for about a second and resumes which is really nice. Well, Black Player is not finding ANY of my music. I installed power amp just to test, and it found everything including playlists. However power amp is stupid when you get a notification because it completely mutes the music for about 3 seconds which is extremely annoying.
Is there any way to force it to look in a specific location? I think whats happening is its trying to find an sdcard because the on screen text is saying "put music files on the sd card".
alternatively, if there are any other decent players that do the same thing in regard to notifications im open to trying them.
EDIT: so it looks like blackplayer should use the music library via android. when i try to use the google play app it doesnt find the music either. Power amp actually lets you pick a specific folder so i think thats why that one works. still gotta be some way to force it to work. maybe its as easy as moving my music folder to a different spot.

Question Stop Play music automatically when blue tooth is on or phone calls ended

How to Stop Play music automatically when blue tooth is on or phone calls ended in pixel 7 pro?
Hello!
Can you please be more precise?
Which app plays the music?
And you really want to end the music after a call (so during the call the music will be played)?
Usually it is the other way round ;-)

I know what he means. I have that, where I'll be listening to music, I get a call, pause the music to take the call and when it ends, the music or whatever I'm listening to starts playing again right away.
If I'm streaming to my car, which I don't set take to calls in my BT settings when I DO get a call, hit pause and put one of my buds in to answer it, when the call is over, whatever I was streaming just starts right up in my earbuds instead of waiting for me to unpause on my car-radio again.
OK, but these are setups in the app plays the music and not a general system setting.
I dont do anything like playing music or so.. When i switch on my car, when iy switch to bluetooth mode, music plays automatically.
In app, i have stopped auto start music. Still music is played via bluetooth without me starting a music

ok, understood.
But which app plays the music?
Jet audio, pi music these are the two music player i have.
I think there should be some setting available to play music with Bluetooth connection on to a device. I don't know more on this
Yeah I don't get the issue, stop the app that automatically starts the music when connecting to car Bluetooth. Go through the settings and disable auto-start. Only iPhones and iPads do that crap.
Also check Android Auto and your bluetooth settings in the car, they usually have auto-play settings
If that not help what schmeggy929 proposes: disable the permissions of these apps
especially Nearby Bluetooth devices:
