Hi,
My phone should be secured with a lock screen (with PIN code), but I would like it if I can unlock certain apps (like camera or games I play) without having to enter the same PIN. To clarify: I should have a lock screen where if I press the camera icon it immediately goes to my camera app (without asking for a PIN), while if I use any other way of unlocking it should ask me for my code.
Googled a lot, but can't find such a lockscreen replacement and my S3 doesn't have such a function. If you do not know of such an application, is there a mod wich has this functionality?
Any help would be deeply appreciated!

hi,
someone knows a widget that allows you to lock the screen of your android device?
on my nexus one i'd like to do it without pressing the lock button, so a widget button would be wonderful..
thanks

I would also like a widget that does this. In particular I would like a widget to engage the pattern/pin lock so that I can secure the phone when I need to, but not have the pattern/pin lock on all the time.
sure, it could have two buttons, one to normally lock the device, and the other one to lock it activatingthe security pattern..
no one knows something like this?
some developer here think it would be difficult to develop it?
Would love for this to be developed. I hate when I am streaming Slacker Radio or Pandora, when the phone goes to sleep and I want to skip a track I have to unlock the phone and put my pattern back in to get to the app since there is no option on the lock screen to skip. There are other apps that I use constantly that would favor this widget (if made ) as well. If I had a toggle switch to either enable or disable the pattern I would use it often.
Take a look at Screen Mode Widget in the Market. I've been using it since I first got my Droid a few months ago. Probably my most useful app on the phone because I HATED using the unlock key and then swiping to unlock all the time.
P.S. For the pattern lock, try the Lock Pattern OnOff widget available via the Market as well.
Anyway to get MIUI style pattern lock on applications like to enable pattern lock on my text messages and certain apps but i dont need to enter pattern lock to unlock phone wondering if anyone can port or know of any app that does this?
I'm sure there are a few of you that share annoyance about this. Here's an entire AOSP issue tracker devoted to it: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=79889
I use an NFC implant to unlock my phone. It worked beautifully on 4.4.4 with Xposed. Lollipop brings NFC unlock with smart unlock, but after scanning an authenticated tag, you are presented with an additional keyguard that you then have to swipe. Even if you're simply using pattern unlock, you have to hit that little arrow at the bottom of the keyguard before you're presented with the pattern grid. Unlocking requires an extra swipe. Stupid.
With Secure Settings/Tasker, disabling keyguard/pattern causes the "Black Screen of Death" which renders the phone useless until reboot. As a result, I've stayed on KitKat.
Can a developer implement settings to disable that keyguard conmpletely? So if you're using standard PIN or pattern you're presented with the pin input or pattern grid immediately, or in my case, once the NFC tag is scanned it brings me straight to the homescreen?
Bump. Someone?
Bump
Wanting to implement this as well... xposed module that used to do it on 4.4 no longer works on lollipop
I think this is the right place to post, since it's a security thing, although it's nothing to do with hacking.
When I was on JellyBean (turns head and spits) and SlimKat I used Secure Settings and Tasker to switch the pattern lock on and off depending on my situation (I mean, I had Tasker and SS change all my sound, screen and radios settings at the tap of a scene button). Now that I'm on Lollipop I can't use SS. Is there a way to easily toggle a pattern or PIN lockscreen on and off? The stock lockscreen and 3rd party apps require the pattern or PIN to be reinserted TWICE to enable them. I want an app that remembers it and doesn't require it to be re-entered to enable/disable.
(GS5 Neo, rooted, stock 5.1.1)
I've found something I can work with. Using shell commands I can emulate touches to activate/deactivate this:

Hi,
i'm on OOS 5.1.6 with unlocked bootlader, official TWRP, and root via Magisk, also got xposed and a few modules (greenify being one of them).
Now the noob silly part: how comes that even if i set fingerprint security for lockscreen (with PIN security behind), if i turn off the screen via power button, and then wake it up (after more than 5secs!) with button again, i am presented with a lockscreen with no security and i can simply swipe up the lock icon and enter the phone?
I'm for sure missing something really obvious here, OR one of my modules (GB, Greenify) might interfere with the security?
Just to be clear: fingerprint unlocking WORKS flawlessly, but if i use the button it just shows the small lock icon that i can simply swipe-up.
Thanks!
Maybe you have enabled face unlock?
Do you have smart lock on? Trusted place or similar, smart watch etc. If one of those are on, it will let you unlock just with a swipe.
And the default time for this lock is 5 sec, see the settings icon right of display lock in settings - security
Thanks guys, i had for some reason Smart Lock enabled, and specifically trusted places (Home) taken from Google Maps. I could not disable it (well i could, but it reverted back as active) until i found under 'Trust Agents' Smart Lock (Google) and disabled it.
Weird.
